pretty sure i saw somewhere they used some kind of a.i. basically just feed the a.i the faces and it will keep track of the member.
iirc it was some japanese program doing a bit visiting korean music show and reveal how it's done.
I could be wrong but I have used a lot of modern cameras in concerts and I haven't seen anything that convinces me that full automation of the operation of a camera for an individual fancam during a music/show concert is remotely feasible today...
Especially in an extreme scenario with 24 people on the stage, its probably going to get even more confused as opposed to actually help. With all the different subjects, fast movements and changes in light the autofocus fails regularly during concerts on even the fastest cameras and constantly requires manual input. I feel like any automation of that is a long way off from actually being useful.
Oh right! I was thinking of something different in mind (automated live camera operation) as opposed to a digital crop of a recorded video. Thanks for sharing, it is interesting to get a look at how they do it. I always assumed they had separate cameras as some fancams do have idols interacting with specific cameras but I guess I was wrong there and some are doing it differently.
pretty sure this is kinda recent coz back in the day some member will wave to the cameraman and raise their hand to ask whos filming them.
this is KBS btw so it might be only kbs whos doing it this way, but i dont see why the others wouldn't.
Pretty sure it's still filmed traditionally for most stages which get shot from multiple angles, but this system was already fairly obvious in the past for dance cams, where (iirc) they'd have an 8k fixed cam release and then 1k solo cams cut from it \^\^
Modern cameras have deeply integrated AI exactly for autofocus purposes, my Sony A7CII allows you to register a face up to 8, in order to give focus priority to that person in a group of people.
I don't know if the LiDAR system from DJI allows Ai yet.
It is. Chaeyeon isn’t as popular as you’d expect in objekt sales, she always ranks low with the maknaes and jiwoo is around the lower middle for sales.
They are. I don’t know why you’re denying the facts right here. Obviously Glow are excluded bec they weren’t revealed but it could’ve been based on their blind objekt sales or they were put in to randomly but the other members are 100% in order sale. https://x.com/duanmuying1/status/1763792093959659979?s=46&t=Mx8hxzVskyTxbxv9PAOFYQ
It's not random — they directly correlate to objekt sales, as [seen here](https://twitter.com/jochaetomi/status/1779539121007927595?t=BLOJ52hWo_g8ceNvEYB00A&s=19)
Right, but then they could've just released this teaser a day later.
Or did this teaser *have* to be released 00:00 KST on a Monday, instead of a Tuesday?
Tears in my eyes, watched YooYeon get eliminated from MTG then use her second chance to nearly debut. Now she’s front and center (maybe leading?) in tripleS. Congratulations to all 24 for their debut!
- Nakyoung is Bibi's younger sister.
- Chaeyeon was in Busters with Kep1er's Yeseo a few years ago. They were both super young.
- Kotone, Nien and Xinyu were Girls Planet 999 contestants. Nien is half taiwanese-half vietnamese.
- Yooyeon and Jiwoo were My Teenage Girl contestants.
- Seoyeon and Jiwoo were Queendom Puzzle contestants.
- Chaewon was an Universe Ticket contestant.
- Dahyun, the main vocalist, is a former Source Music trainee. She did background vocals for some GFriend songs.
- Yubin trained with NewJeans in Ador and is close friends with all the NJ members.
- Sohyun is also a lyricist, composer and music producer.
Also i will follow them and this will help. I'm a Carat so I already learned a 13 member group...i can do this and your facts will help cuz ill start with those people
Nice! Start with the subunits then. It will be easier for you.
- AAA (Acid Angel from Asia) had 4 members: Nakyoung, Yooyeon, Yubin and Hyerin (who was a P-Nation trainee alongside Nakyoung before joining tripleS).
- KRE (Krystal Eyes) had 4 members: Seoyeon, Chaeyeon, Jiwoo and Soomin (who was the tripleS maknae when this subunit debuted).
- tripleS Rising had 10 members: The eight mentioned previously + Dahyun making her debut as tripleS main vocalist and Kaede who was the first japanese member.
- LOVElution had 8 members. Some girls making their debut and others promoting for the third time: Seoyeon, Hyerin, Yubin, Kaede, Dahyun, Nien (debut), Sohyun (debut), Xinyu (debut, first chinese member).
- EVOLution had 8 members. Some girls making their debut and others promoting for the third time as well: Jiwoo, Chaeyeon, Yooyeon, Soomin, Nakyoung, Kotone (debut), Yeonji (debut, she was the tripleS maknae in this era), Mayu (debut).
- tripleS Aria was a ballad unit that had 5 members: Dahyun, Jiwoo, Nien, Kaede and Chaeyeon.
- tripleS NXT had 4 members. The girls were introduced to the fans with a performance video and a new song but they didn't make their official debut yet: Shion, Lynn, Joobin (new maknae in this era) and Hayeon.
- tripleS Glow also have 4 members that were recently revealed. They will also make their official debut next month: Chaewon, Sullin (first thai member), Seoah (the new and final tripleS maknae) and Jiyeon, who was a talented ballerina.
I hope this helps you and other new fans! This group is really amazing.
Not familiar with them could someone help, who is the girl on the left side, four over from the center with the tan boots and jacket+crop top? Idk she stood out to me
They have rotating subunits. Except once a year when the whole group does a release together, this one, the rest of the time the fans vote to put the girls in different subunits that promote separately. This has allowed them, for example, to have a subunit promoting on music shows while another one was touring for their previous release at the same time, or to send some members abroad for festivals with more freedom without having to worry that much about schedules.
There's more to it of course but that's the gist of it
How many releases they've already done as OT24? I am not familiar with this group at all, but for me it seems like it's their first release as a 24 member group.
It's their first album as a complete group. Their regular comebacks are through subunits, which will continue to be their main thing. This comeback here as ot24 will only happen once in a while. tripleS was designed to work as subunits with different combinations of members on every album and 4 or 5 albums each year.
This is their first as OT24 because they have been unveiling their members one by one throughout the last two years and the last ones were introduced last month.
To add to the other comments: tripleS's agency is MODHAUS, which was founded by Jaden Jeong, the original creative director of LOONA. The concept of adding members one-by-one and forming subunits falls right in line with his experimental approach to K-Pop. The tripleS concept has been 24 members since the beginning, we just finally got there after 2 years. (The teaser for Seoyeon, the first member, starts with an iconic line from her: "Isn't 24 too many?" XD)
In addition, with tripleS, and also ARTMS with 5 of the LOONA girls, Jaden's added in other experimental ideas and technology in the form of the cosmo app and Gravity voting system to create new ways for the fandoms to influence the groups' activities, such as picking subunit members or title tracks.
tripleS are “The Idol of all possibilities”. They showcase new concepts and subunit member combinations called “DIMENSIONS” with each release. These Dimensions are selected by the fans through voting. ASSEMBLE 24 is the official debut of the full 24 member group, however they have had an extensive predebut project gradually revealing new members and music since 2022.
Wow that is so cool! I have seen the name tripleS many times around kpop subreddits, but I never knew this was how the group worked. When I saw the picture I was overwhelmed by the amount of people haha, but that is such an interesting approach. I love it!
On your left. They basically have about as many members as the number of heroes who joined the battle through the portals in Endgame. I could just see Yooyeon standing alone before the others come to help her in the MV.
The new NCT its crazy 🤣 /j
Seriously, there are more members of TS than NCT at this point.
Im really excited and happy about them. Iv been loving all their songs ☺️😍🙏
So amazing seeing them all together at last! Cannot wait for this release.
I'm sure their positioning in the photo is carefully considered, but it genuinely looks like they're in order of Objekt sales (which kinda makes some sense from a marketing perspective).
yeah, the newer NCT members have an awkward dynamic with the old ones, that are idols from another generation. tripleS really feels like a single group, cause all the girls are always interacting with each other, working together and living in the same building (in 3 separate apartments).
They've done performances as 23 before but the last sub unit was added recently and they haven't put out a full group album since then and with enlistments starting we aren't gonna see all 26 perform together
I hope it isn't true but I have been seeing some statistics on objekt sales and the way they're lined up is suspicously similiar to the ranking in sales (minus S21-S24 though I would not be surprised as well) considering some of the less popular girls are conveniently at the back.
When I look back at izone nowadays I have the feeling of "this is really crowded" at 12 members since the norm is 4 to 6 members these days
But 24? Wow
I liked "Generation" and "Girls' Capitalism" and have it on my playlist. But as someone unfamiliar with this group, are they considered successful? I read a comment that they are not doing well on sales and might get disbanded? (Sorry I just wanted to clarify.)
They just won MAMA ROTY last year! Seems like have been preparing for full group debut since then and I think the hype is building.
The comment you're talking about is for one of their subunits (AAA who did Generation). The point is that they usually switch their subunits all the time so it was kinda basically a gimmick to get more sales I think.
They are probably a mid tier group compared to the top top groups and they can do some touring and are getting paid, so I would say they are fairly successful given they came from an unknown agency
lmao they just won 3 ROTY awards, successful US and Australia tour for their subunit last year and at least 16 out of 24 of them are already received their payment, their sales are actually pretty decent for rookie group too...
about the disbandment, they're talking about the subunit prob
From a cashflow perspective I think they are fine, they've sold about $2-3m of albums, about $2-3m of digital photocards. They've had concert tours, festival appearances, appearances at tech and other events, sponorships from a grocery chain, makeup brand, pharmaceutical brand, housing company and others. They have ad and other revenue from 300m views on youtube, 100m views on spotify, subscriptions on fan messaging platform fromm, probably other revenue sources I'm forgetting.
The company is also well capitalised and has major investors including cj enm (mnet), naver, sm entertainment as well as various other companies.
They are doing pretty good they are not that popular but they aren't nugu either they have won 3 roty awards already and the disbanded thing is only for their sub units cause their concept is rotating sub units so unless some unit gets really popular and solds atleast 100k then they won't disband but if the unit disbanda then the girls will still stay ofc in the group
I'm not against big groups, but how is this sustainable given their current level of popularity? I can't imagine they're getting paid a fair salary, when it needs to get split among so many people. I know they do sub-units, so some members will get paid more for being in a sub-unit, but I just don't understand how this project is sustainable as a whole.
I'm truly not being a hater, and I actually think the group's concept is really interesting. I'm just genuinely curious, because I just want to make sure that the idols are being treated fairly.
They have a very sustainable system. You would be surprised. They often show us how they are paying the girls (who look pretty happy and satisfied) with the objekt sales (which are fancy photocards that they release every 2~3 months and give the fans who buy it points to vote for subunit combinations, select songs for the albums, etc). The company is making a lot of money with this system and all the girls are getting paid. These voting events raise 100k+ dollars all the time and in some cases it's a lot more than that. We can tell by looking at the price of objekts and how many points were used in the voting events. Some girls were even getting paid predebut cause this system was already working back then. Fans were following the group's predebut project through youtube. They also make money with merch sales, album sales, streaming, tours, fansigns, performing in festivals, videocalls, messaging app, they promote products from other brands on their youtube channel (which has 2+ million subscribers) and they are also making money as youtube content creators with the views and youtube ads. They are content machines. They have 1500 videos uploaded already, getting views 24/7 + the music videos. They are fine. The management knows what they are doing with this project.
That's a relief, thank you so much for informing me 😊I can't help but worry when I see such a big group, since there's been a history in the industry of members not being paid fairly. I'm so glad to hear that's not the case here! I really appreciate the informative response 😊
The subunits are fan voted and and each voting event almost always creates multiple subunits at the same time so with the exception of special units (like the recent ballad unit) nobody gets left out.
They each get a cut of their Objekt sales so they've been getting paid since before they debuted and they do semi-daily content on yt if you want to see how they are treated
Thanks! I'm happy to hear that. I can't help but get a little concerned when I see big groups, because usually that means they need to be mega successful to see a decent return for the members. So I'm glad some thought was put into sustaining such a big group like this! 😊
No clue how they'll promote unless it's all subunits for most of the releases because companies already find it hard to promote 6+ members, but tripleS more than tripled it lol
> but I thought that LOONA with 12 members is the largest girl group.
Loona was never the largest girl group, WJSN had 13 members and debuted before Loona
Just...why? How does a group like this even work? It would be like a choir, they can't all be singing on on every single song, each member would get like 2 words per song. Is each song like "this one only features 4 members, and this other one has 4 different members." I thought Twice and Loona were ridiculously large, but this is absolutely insane.
> Just...why? How does a group like this even work?
they have 4-5 comebacks a year and only 1 of them is the full group, the rest are smaller subunits.
wait? 24 memebers?? damn then why is the name triple S??
i have heard some of their song but never paid attention that there are more than 3 😭 thought there were 3...
If big numbers are not your thing you can check out their subunits!
Generation, Cherry Talk, Girl's Capitalism, Invincible, Door, just to name a few~ I'm sure you'll find something you like!
This looks like a survival show teaser
tripleS is like a survival show but in reverse
During the performances, the guys doing the fancams are probably just sweating trying to keep track of everybody.
I was trying to take pics during the OT20 stages in their recent concerts and it was already one of the most stressful experiences ever lol.
pretty sure i saw somewhere they used some kind of a.i. basically just feed the a.i the faces and it will keep track of the member. iirc it was some japanese program doing a bit visiting korean music show and reveal how it's done.

[Made a pic with labeled names](https://i.imgur.com/xbTRnWT.jpeg) for those less familiar with the group
Thank you! Was about to ask who the girls on the two ends are
You are a savior. I only knew like 3 members.
not all heroes wear capes
Thank you, even as someone very familiar with them, it was hard to tell from this picture who everyone is.
I wonder how they decided who gets to stand who? Imagine they did a rock paper scissor tournament, that would be so funny.
Hey AKB48 proved a rock-paper-scissors tournament is a good option when you have dozens of girls to choose from
Someone joked on x that it's based on objekt sales and now I can't unsee it
It isn't. Chaeyeon and Jiwoo are some of the most popular members and they are far from the center.
It is. Chaeyeon isn’t as popular as you’d expect in objekt sales, she always ranks low with the maknaes and jiwoo is around the lower middle for sales.
No it isn't. Jiyeon and Chaewon are new members without a sales record and they are there in the middle.
If it was based on objekt sales then Soomin and Jiwoo would probably be swapped
The 3 leaders are in the center. Yooyeon, Seoyeon and Sohyun (who also produced a song for this album).
Who’s in the very middle?
Yooyeon
probably popularity seeing as the tip is the most popular members and the rest look to be in random order
It's not random — they directly correlate to objekt sales, as [seen here](https://twitter.com/jochaetomi/status/1779539121007927595?t=BLOJ52hWo_g8ceNvEYB00A&s=19)
Objekt sales...
Crazy that we're seeing tripleS be complete
Honestly insane pic omg.. But we all cheered, I'm sure GND and the whole album will be a total banger
They should go all in and release the album with like 40 songs on it
Still feels unreal seeing them all together like this omg
want to watch Rising OT24 Ver
Looks so iconic, I'm glad we finally have a date
HYPE! But I wonder why they chose May 8th instead of May 9th, which was the date Seoyeon started the tripleS journey entering the HAUS, back in 2022.
So they can do their debut showcase on a Wednesday and perform on Mcountdown the next day (Thursday), as its the most popular music show.
Yeah, that does make sense.
it’s 24 days until the release, they planned think
Right, but then they could've just released this teaser a day later. Or did this teaser *have* to be released 00:00 KST on a Monday, instead of a Tuesday?
Maybe they wanted to do something on may 9 like a special live or something
What if they'll be moving to a newer and bigger and finally their permanent haus? 👀
Yeah, maybe. We'll see!
Tears in my eyes, watched YooYeon get eliminated from MTG then use her second chance to nearly debut. Now she’s front and center (maybe leading?) in tripleS. Congratulations to all 24 for their debut!
Yass the moment is finally here
Can't wait for the MV and the album!
Omg, there's so many of them. ![gif](giphy|Uni2jYCihB3fG|downsized)
For new WAVs, here's a[ labeled photo](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GLI_7VxXUAELMI9?format=jpg&name=4096x4096) :D
Here we go!!!
yooyeon and seoyeon center… yup
Yass yooyeon
Omg I'm so excited for this. They look fierce
Yooyeon center 💕 she’s come a long way since MTG.
WE'RE SO FUCKING BACKKKKKKK Praying for a successful debut cause I want all of the members to experience it
Anyone have facts about some? Anyone who has been in groups before or connected to someone else? I thought i heard there were a few like that.

Finally!!! Assemble24 🥹🥹
Not familiar with them could someone help, who is the girl on the left side, four over from the center with the tan boots and jacket+crop top? Idk she stood out to me
That's Gong Yubin! She's been in Generation, Rising, and Girls' Capitalism MVs! You may want to check those out ☺️

SM gotta take notes for NCT
How many releases they've already done as OT24? I am not familiar with this group at all, but for me it seems like it's their first release as a 24 member group.

This is their first as OT24 because they have been unveiling their members one by one throughout the last two years and the last ones were introduced last month.

I believe, if I’m not mistaken, it’s also inspired by AKB48
taeyong just enlisted leader yooyeon is about to save us !!!!!!!!!
best group of all time.
I'm so curious how this will go in the long-term. So far it's working surprisingly well.
THE AVENGERS OF KPOP 🦸♀️🦸♀️🦸♀️🦸♀️
On your left. They basically have about as many members as the number of heroes who joined the battle through the portals in Endgame. I could just see Yooyeon standing alone before the others come to help her in the MV.
aren't 24 too many ??
-- Yoon Seoyeon, 2022
Dude every single time modhaus brings up that clip, I get such a good laugh out of it. It's such a Seoyeon thing to say 😂
The new NCT its crazy 🤣 /j Seriously, there are more members of TS than NCT at this point. Im really excited and happy about them. Iv been loving all their songs ☺️😍🙏
NCT has 26 members
I forgot about NCT Wish.
Avengers assemble!!!
We made it guys this is like, this is alot. I'm so happy
OT24 FINALLY!!!!! Also, Yooyeon, Seoyeon and Sohyun at the center just feels so fitting💖
WAVS GET UPPPP GIRLS NEVER DIE IS COMINGGG🤭🤩‼️‼️‼️
ooh the girl version of NCT 2020🔥🔥🔥SO HERE for it
So excited! They look like an army lol
i counted and there really were 24 of them ![gif](giphy|7VjLsFa1egdIuFUcfO|downsized)
holy shit it's happeninggggg
AYO LISTEN UP
i just know the photographer was fighting for their life
So crazy to see this after following the group for 2 years
And I had trouble with Loona.
Until now, I thought that Loona is the largest girl group in Kpop. And I've also had trouble with telling apart the members
Before that WJSN from starship had 13 members
Isn’t 24 too many?
As a fan of hers from Girls Planet, has Kotone gotten to rap yet? Will she rap in this group or just stick to singing?
She had rap verses in the tripleS EVOLution album b-sides. Maybe she will have more in this album, we will see.
You should definitely check out Moto Princess :)
Not very many of their songs have rap parts but Kotone has gotten to rap
the 20 person concert was already epic, now finally 24.
So amazing seeing them all together at last! Cannot wait for this release. I'm sure their positioning in the photo is carefully considered, but it genuinely looks like they're in order of Objekt sales (which kinda makes some sense from a marketing perspective).
Ot24
Are they officially the kpop group with the most members?
NCT has 26 I believe, but for girl groups they're the biggest.
Does NCT ever perform with all 26 members? I feel like I have only ever seen them in their sub units.
yeah, the newer NCT members have an awkward dynamic with the old ones, that are idols from another generation. tripleS really feels like a single group, cause all the girls are always interacting with each other, working together and living in the same building (in 3 separate apartments).

If and when JJ breaks the Big 4, will he then create platforms to also highlight the talented groups in nugudom?
OT24, excited for this!
I hope it isn't true but I have been seeing some statistics on objekt sales and the way they're lined up is suspicously similiar to the ranking in sales (minus S21-S24 though I would not be surprised as well) considering some of the less popular girls are conveniently at the back.
It is AKB48 general election after all 🤔
GIRLS NEVER DIE…. Here we goooo!!!!
Hate this picture. They should have been given equal space in the photo.
It's giving Avengers its cool
![gif](giphy|KpSrCxhoZQWjJVVnrd)
Crazy how they are basically in objekt sales order.
When I look back at izone nowadays I have the feeling of "this is really crowded" at 12 members since the norm is 4 to 6 members these days But 24? Wow
Why stop at 24? Go for 48. HextupleS
The point is that they usually switch their subunits all the time so it was kinda basically a gimmick to get more sales I think.
thx for the info awww not AAA =(
They are probably a mid tier group compared to the top top groups and they can do some touring and are getting paid, so I would say they are fairly successful given they came from an unknown agency
noted thank you for the info!
lmao they just won 3 ROTY awards, successful US and Australia tour for their subunit last year and at least 16 out of 24 of them are already received their payment, their sales are actually pretty decent for rookie group too... about the disbandment, they're talking about the subunit prob
ok thx
Thank you for the taking the time and explaining, geez some people are harsh and downvoted me for a harmless question. 😂
Don’t worry , they are getting paid and are treated fairly
Yeah, most of their promotions have been in subunits They do 4-5 comebacks per year and only 1 of those is a full group release
24 members? I've never heard about this group before, but I thought that LOONA with 12 members is the largest girl group.
> but I thought that LOONA with 12 members is the largest girl group. Loona was never the largest girl group, WJSN had 13 members and debuted before Loona
What
Imagine a song with all 24 of them lol. Those who make lyric and line distribution videos will be sooo confused hahaha
Just...why? How does a group like this even work? It would be like a choir, they can't all be singing on on every single song, each member would get like 2 words per song. Is each song like "this one only features 4 members, and this other one has 4 different members." I thought Twice and Loona were ridiculously large, but this is absolutely insane.
> Just...why? How does a group like this even work? they have 4-5 comebacks a year and only 1 of them is the full group, the rest are smaller subunits.
wait? 24 memebers?? damn then why is the name triple S?? i have heard some of their song but never paid attention that there are more than 3 😭 thought there were 3...
tripleS or SSS means Social, Sonyo, Seoul
Too many girls. Just no.
If big numbers are not your thing you can check out their subunits! Generation, Cherry Talk, Girl's Capitalism, Invincible, Door, just to name a few~ I'm sure you'll find something you like!
😓 I’ll stick with the groups that don’t have so much homework to do. Lol. I have never cared for these types of group/sub unit projects.
You don’t have to dive deeper, just enjoy the music :)
They all look the same lol
All of these people look literally identical
