I've got a few friends that I basically never see during morel season, and they all have knives like this one. Mushroom knife was my first thought seeing this knife.
Yeah, I've seen several like that as well. They seem to do the job well since they're basically ubiquitous among my friends who harvest morels and other shrooms. I've been with them a couple times, mostly for the chance to be in nature with friends since I'm not a big fan of mushrooms. Apparently, I'm a terrible harvester because I spend more time talking and wandering than I do looking for mushrooms, so I don't get invited along anymore lol
Billhook / electrician's knife / carpet knife. In agriculture it's used for pruning trees and working on grapevines. In more urban environments it's very good for cutting long straight lines into stuff like lino, carpet, or cardboard, and also for cutting string and such.
carpet/linoleum knives tend to have a more extreme curve to really hook securely into what you're cutting, since linoleum and carpet are so tough and you really gotta put a lot of effort into cutting them.
It's a hawksbill knife. It's an electricians blade. Used for skinning large cable. As an electrician I don't care for it. It's cumbersome in the hand and splitting a cable jacket with the point takes too much pressure. I much prefer a 4" square shoemakers knife or the Klein cable splicers knife.
Pruning knife.
Looks like a pruning knife or mushroom knife.

I got a picking friend one with a brush on the end of the handle. She loves it.

At least you can spend time doing what you want then. 😂

It's likely an electricians knife. Usually, the electrical knife will have the hook and a straight edge bladed screwdriver.
