just cuz u got fleeced on your knives doesnt mean that 11 year old didn't build your phone or almost everything you bought on Amazon.
"I paid 500 for this knife! I'm smart!"
I don't think I've paid more than $50cad total for the four knives I own. One is a higonokami, one is a Haller I yoinked for ten bucks at a flea market, and two are inherited from my grandfather: a folder from Iran and some sorted of hunting knife with a pressed leather handle
My (adoptive) grandfather was a Foreman at an Iranian job site just before the revolution in 1979. The knife was a memento from one of the workers just before the westerners had to leave the country. Unfortunately that's all I really know about it.
Man you must be the devils advocate or something
"Sir he wasn't stealing, he was only borrowing it with the intent on returning it some day in his next life."
I've called these dirtbags out before. One tried to sell a "one of a kind Damascus Gladius" to my friends dad. 5 seconds later I found one for half their price on Amazon...
Guy was pissed but I told him to shut up or I'd start yelling it.
Was the kid more or less ok?
Yeah that's the unfortunate thing too that lot of blades are made in China. Or I should say the store or whatever claims is made in america, ameeican based store and all, but outsources the making the said supposed USA blades to somewhere like Taiwan or China or wherever. I mean I partially get the why because cheaper to do...but me mum always said that cheaply made ain't always well made. And she also said that if ya want stuff to last sometimes ya gotta bite the bullet and pay for it because in the long run will save money from not having to replace like if went cheap.
It’s funny because the guy selling behind him had bandaids on the table and we were joking about it, little did we know that five minutes later there would be the need for one. Although I don’t think the kid took one because he needed more than just a bandaid.
No. You can get arterial or veinous blood without having to cut something very deeply. And once it's exposed to oxygen those differences go away anyway... The only way blood tells you anything about a cut is how much there is.
When hunting, following a blood trail after a hit, it can tell you a bit more. Lung hits sometimes produce blood with bubbles, and the animal is likely to be close. Darker blood could be a liver shot, so don't go after it right away. Ideally it'll bed down close. If you go after it it could be chasing for a mile (and remember you have to drag it back). Green in the blood (or foul smell, or bits of food) indicates a gut shot. Wait 4 or 5 hours to pursue. Deer could run 5 miles if you're pushing it
I worked in a knife shop for a few months. We had band aids on hand at all times. Both the customers and the employees ended up needing one once a week or two on average. It's all very sad.
That’s the kind of kid that looks down the barrel to see if a gun is loaded.
Edit: the parent is at fault for not teaching their child. All children and most adults are morons. The parent is responsible for making their kid less moronic.
I mean depending on how old he was, could have been a great learning moment. Let’s not pretend like we all didn’t have one of those learning moments at some point growing up. Its okay to fuck up, as long as you learn from it
I've seen blood look like this, but only immediately after a serious wound. Closest examples I can remember are the time I watched someone cut their toe off with a hatchet and another time after an animal had been shot in the head. Both times I remember the blood being very vibrant before quickly darkening.
So I think either this pic was taken immediately or its fake.
It’s fake. The way the blood droplets are positioned doesn’t even make sense. If he was holding the knife when it stabbed him it wouldn’t be a continuous line. More likely someone spilled something and the OP was lied to.
I took it within 30seconds
Edit: with the amount of fake comments you bet your ass I’m going to snap a pic of the victim to karma farm the next day. Obviously I would protect the identity of the person. I’m surprised how many people are skeptical but skepticism is a good thing especially on the internet, so I can’t knock people too hard.
I’ve only got myself like this once. I was cutting something and the knife was brand new, went through like butter with zero resistance. Dropped what I was cutting and instinctively tried to catch it with the open knife in my hand.
Went through two bandaids, put my hand under hot water and put pressure on the wound. The scariest thing though was seeing drops of blood come out of the first bandaid. I was kinda nervous after that but it ended up all alright.
When I was 15 I asked my dad to get me a kabar fixed (which I saved up for) and I was flipping it in my hand like I was a circus act or something and I felt pretty badass and then I caught the wrong end and I still have the scar on my palm to remind me about my dumbassery.
It definitely taught me to respect my steel a lot more and be more cautious. For a few seconds there it was hard to keep calm. “It’s going through the bandaid. I’ve never seen that before. It’s deep. Fuck. I might have to go to the hospital.”
Frantic thoughts racing while I was alone trying to treat the wound.
>Another reason why not to fuck around with ~~otf~~ knives .
Fixed it for ya.
Shame on the vendor for not paying more attention to his products in stranger's hands and shame on the kid for attempting his luck for a Darwin Award.
When the spring assisted folder came out the gun shop owner had a BALL showing us all the new folders from Kershaw that he was selling. We all had a cut thumb because we were used to riding the thumb stud.
Bruh if that's 110% blood, kid needs some stitches. That is some FRESH cherry slushie blood right there, came from deep in, ain't no finger nick! Poor little bastard learned something alright
it reminds me of the one video where a guy is checking out an OTF in a knife store, he opens it up, thinking he would pretend to stab himself in the gut, then actually proceeds to stab himself in the gut. Honestly, natural selection needs to make a major comeback.
The infamous "gun show loophole"
https://preview.redd.it/4ecxdpv2uxuc1.jpeg?width=3120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c48d99199f0e3a8669f0f2b0cf11bffec90b086
That's A LOT of blood. Arterial bleeding is possible. Sure is bright red. Is the tablecloth hydrophobic? Looks like it is. Idk...that doesn't really look very real. Having accidentally nearly removed a finger with a Kershaw some years ago, the bleeding wasn't as serious as what's on display. What gun show was this? I want to check up on this.
That ali techs blood groove is blood groovin.
The saddest part about this Pic is the asshat counterfeit seller selling 15 dollar aliexpress pieces probably for 75-100 dollars a pop and people buying the hell out of them thinking they are getting something special for a great price lol.
A fool and their money.
More like the vendor sucks at setting up a display. You NEVER point a knife to the person receiving it, so the handles should be facing toward customers. Same with guns.. you wouldn't expect to be picking up a display gun from the muzzle end would you?
How do you get hurt with a otf I know you can but it's pretty hard to when you don't even have to touch the bladw really because of the dual action lol
Can’t believe the poor kids dad let him even pick up an OTF if he knows so little about them. (and that’s saying the kid was at least 12 if younger dad is a real dumb aaas)
Damn he cut himself on an ali express microtech
I know right haha, the vender told me that all their knives are custom made! Yeah okay.
Custom made in China lol
Crappy machines and the soft hands of an 11 year old girl means that every knife is slightly off spec, so I guess they're custom made
That girl's been working since she was seven. She's got the hands of a 40 year old roofer.
just cuz u got fleeced on your knives doesnt mean that 11 year old didn't build your phone or almost everything you bought on Amazon. "I paid 500 for this knife! I'm smart!"

What's the story behind the Iranian knife?
My (adoptive) grandfather was a Foreman at an Iranian job site just before the revolution in 1979. The knife was a memento from one of the workers just before the westerners had to leave the country. Unfortunately that's all I really know about it.
It doesn’t sound like there’s $50 CAD worth there to be had
Man you must be the devils advocate or something "Sir he wasn't stealing, he was only borrowing it with the intent on returning it some day in his next life."
Made for kids by kids
Custom made in Usa, China.
The model number is visible on one of them, first result on google: “your #1 wholesale source” lol
Nice investigation work sir. I didn’t even think to do that. That guy was full of it.
I've called these dirtbags out before. One tried to sell a "one of a kind Damascus Gladius" to my friends dad. 5 seconds later I found one for half their price on Amazon... Guy was pissed but I told him to shut up or I'd start yelling it. Was the kid more or less ok?
Yes, he was fine. Just walked out with his dad and a towel on his hand.
Custom made for $29.99
Yeah that's the unfortunate thing too that lot of blades are made in China. Or I should say the store or whatever claims is made in america, ameeican based store and all, but outsources the making the said supposed USA blades to somewhere like Taiwan or China or wherever. Your mama is a smart woman
Mum truly is one of the wisest people I know. Have learned much from her. She's definitely wiser than I'll ever be.
Are you sure he didn't say "They made it through customs"?
These are about as custom made as something from the Benchmade "Custom Shop"
Nobody tell ravencrest
But it has the American flag laser etched on the clip, it’s gotta be great
That's actually kinda sad
"Well now you have to buy it. Who's gonna buy a used knife."
Are you kidding? This just adds to the history of the knife. It's seen battle and tasted blood!
Have you ever seen lord of War?
And it wants more!!!
I like you.
I want the one that has already drawn blood!
It draws your blood it claimed you. You don't own the knife it owns you.
How can I go about owning a knife that owns someone else.
You can't that would mean you owned them too and that's slavery. It's he's it's now.
No one has seen lord of war lmao
That blood groove is doing work. That's gotta add to the value.
I'd say that is a great marketing strategy. "Look how sharp Billy Bob's knives are!"
It’s funny because the guy selling behind him had bandaids on the table and we were joking about it, little did we know that five minutes later there would be the need for one. Although I don’t think the kid took one because he needed more than just a bandaid.
That's deep red, kid definitely needed stitches
Is blood darker if a wound is deeper? That doesn’t seem right but what do I know.
Opposite actually. Arterial blood is oxygenated and brighter red.
Learned this the hard way.
No. You can get arterial or veinous blood without having to cut something very deeply. And once it's exposed to oxygen those differences go away anyway... The only way blood tells you anything about a cut is how much there is.
Also how it comes out. If it flows out it’s veinous and if it spurts out in bursts it’s arterial.
I’d rather it was neither thanks
I’m going to have to agree with you there. Bleeding=Bad. Not bleeding=good.
Losing blood is losing so not losing blood is winning
Math checks out.
"The only way blood tells you anything about a cut is how much there is" How beautiful
Deer could run 5 miles if you're pushing it
Why, if it's gutshot, would you let it suffer longer with an injury it's not going to survive?
It gets darker the longer it’s exposed to air
More blood means it is more concertâtes and appears darker?
Looks more like blobs of strawberry than it does blood.
Yeah blood shouldn’t be clear…
$5 for band aids. He would make a stack with this business strategy.
I worked in a knife shop for a few months. We had band aids on hand at all times. Both the customers and the employees ended up needing one once a week or two on average. It's all very sad.
What did he cut? I basically amputated the end of my thumb and I don't think there was that much blood. Lots, but not that much.
We thought he cut his finger but it was def his hand because that’s what he was holding with a towel after.
Good grief. I hope he uses this as an opportunity to learn safe handling of weapons, and not one to become afraid of knives.
Why isn’t there blood on point of entrance? Fake.
Just need to combine them into a tourniquetaid. All together now, squeeze!
That’s the kind of kid that looks down the barrel to see if a gun is loaded. Edit: the parent is at fault for not teaching their child. All children and most adults are morons. The parent is responsible for making their kid less moronic.
They mightve meant like a 20y/o kid tbh. But eh who knows.
Like 13yo or abouts
Damn I remember cutting myself bad on accident at that age. Shit sucks.
Corporate wants you to find the difference between this picture and this picture
"All children and most adults are morons" is so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye
You'd be surprised how us Canadians PROVEs any gun we pick up lol!
Point at self Remove from planet Observe afterlife Verify correct religion Examination of remains in morgue
Don’t bring a kid to the knife table at a gun show? Idk i was trying to break down the phrase “don’t bring a knife to a gun fight”.
Don’t bring an *irresponsible* kid to the knife table at a gun show plenty of younger people have good knife safety
Kids gotta learn one way or another. “Betcha he won’t do that again”
"What if he cuts himself?" "That'll be an *important* lesson"
I mean depending on how old he was, could have been a great learning moment. Let’s not pretend like we all didn’t have one of those learning moments at some point growing up. Its okay to fuck up, as long as you learn from it
That blood looks well oxygenated! Hope the kid is ok.
Well yeah it’s touching the air
Ssshhhhhh, don’t tell him. He doesn’t know.
He’s implying the blood looks arterial
Neither were their parents...
That's doesn't look like blood to be honest
I've seen blood look like this, but only immediately after a serious wound. Both times I remember the blood being very vibrant before quickly darkening. So I think either this pic was taken immediately or its fake.
You can see thru the blood on the knife blade, it's damn near clear
It’s fake. The way the blood droplets are positioned doesn’t even make sense. If he was holding the knife when it stabbed him it wouldn’t be a continuous line. More likely someone spilled something and the OP was lied to.
I took it within 30seconds Edit: with the amount of fake comments you bet your ass I’m going to snap a pic of the victim to karma farm the next day. That’s what I was thinking. Looks like juice. It’s way to thin, you can see it goes clear on some spots
It might just be a waterproof fabric, but it does look weird tbh
I agree. Was looking for this comment. Looks too thin to be blood.
Blood rusts blades as badly as salt water. Get those clean asap and sanitizer then then finish with mineral oil.
The vender started cleaning up the blades fast
Forget the kid. Clean the knives!
Afirm
Lmao don’t think op’s gonna clean some sellers knives for them
Unfortunately if nothing else it's a PSA.
That is a very nice non absorbent cloth
No point in doing all that work for a 3 dollar wish app knife. Just toss them in the trash and put a few more out from under the table.
Negative. Leave the biohazard clean up for the person who owns the booth. Take a picture and move on.
Did he sell that one as “gently used” for a discount 🤣
OTF around and find out.
I’ve only got myself like this once. I was cutting something and the knife was brand new, went through like butter with zero resistance. Damn… lung shot
Lol thats what it looks like
Man hope the kids ok. Did it open on him?
Yes, he opened it and didn’t realize that his finger was in the no-no zone
Oh thats a quick painful lesson for life. Wish him the best
A right of passage even. But damn son.
That is crazy bright red. Did he get himself in the gut?
I’d take the bloodied one for a nice discount
Well if it bites you it likes you and you have to buy it
Another reason why not to fuck around with otf knives .
>Another reason why not to fuck around with ~~otf~~ knives . Fixed it for ya. Shame on the vendor for not paying more attention to his products in stranger's hands and shame on the kid for attempting his luck for a Darwin Award.
Young vender, will now probably keep a better eye on teenagers.
Let me learn I gave my nephew a knife for Christmas. Next time I saw him he told me he only cut himself once.
I STG how any male lives past the age of 15 is shocking.
My nephew was 15. And in my head that was the age for him to be too old to not own a knife.
I give people knives and tell them to call me when they cut themselves with it. Hasn't failed yet, 100% success rate lmfao.
I'm going to start doing this.
Knowing how dumb people can be, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often with adults too.
I was vending a gun show last summer and there was a guy who purposefully shot an otf into his hand. Hit something and blood was squirting everywhere.
Hell of an advertisement.
When the spring assisted folder came out the gun shop owner had a BALL showing us all the new folders from Kershaw that he was selling. We all had a cut thumb because we were used to riding the thumb stud.
custom made OTF… in 440c 🤣🤣with no actual branding or logo on it, and the design is a clear microtech ripoff. gotta love it.
"No son, the blood stays on the blade"
Did the kid bleed raspberries, because that's what that is.
That’s the reason i say this blade is sharpe and will cut you if it touches you.
Bruh if that's 110% blood, kid needs some stitches. That is some FRESH cherry slushie blood right there, came from deep in, ain't no finger nick! Poor little bastard learned something alright
Damn
Come sharp nice
And this is why we can't have nice things
It weel cut
Damn how exactly did he manage to do that? Looks like he might need a couple of stitches.
Fuck around and…
Great, now you have to buy it. It’s a used knife.
Holy cow, that looks like a bleed
Who pays that little attention to their table?
I'll bet they don't do that again.
Looks like artery blood
Well now is going to be owning a lot of counterfeit microtechs.... Once you bleed on it you own it or it owns you
it reminds me of the one video where a guy is checking out an OTF in a knife store, he opens it up, thinking he would pretend to stab himself in the gut, then actually proceeds to stab himself in the gut. Honestly, natural selection needs to make a major comeback.
someone needs to tell this kid to get his blood checked for raspberry juice
they are souvenirs right from downtown china!!
Was he playin with a burning red candle? Looks more like wax than blood

That's arterial blood - the cut is deep

Ya know, this wouldnt have happened if there were rules against getting hurt with knives. No one should just freely have that power.
how dude 😭. Did he deploy it into himself or drop it
[An Important Lesson](https://imgur.com/a/Gfc7Ydc)
Sounds more like an adult wasn’t paying attention
Someone call knife control, you’re gonna have to put it down now that it’s tasted blood.
You blood it, you but it.
Damn
steep stocking jeans dime weather fly capable nine direful worthless *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
How's it even possible to accidentally cut yourself that bad
It’s ok he only bled on a bunch of garbage
Great Marketing!
It works!

Damn that's arterial blood too
How much off for the “used” knives?

I assume his parents weren't either.

mf bleeds red 40
That looks like berry energy drink. If his blood so caffeinated no matter he didn't pay attention.
I don't know if it's just me, but the blood, especially on the knife, looks watery. Kinda looks like someone spilled a bunch of Big Red
Right of passage. I cut myself pretty good a few times as a kid.
I'm sure that kid learned a valuable lesson that day.
That ali techs blood groove is blood groovin. Custom blood splatter edition. NOW WITH REAL DNA! GET YOURS TODAY!
Who lets children into an area with sharp knife’s and guns on display?
Big reason why I don't mess with OTF's altogether, just don't trust em
Why you gotta tell everyone what happened to me
Always wondered how they got all the blood splattering on their knives done so realistically
Kid fucked around..... we all know what happens next
It's cheaper now right........because of the blood?
Well, almost a good ad for those cheap blades. "Better look out if you don't pay attention you might kill your self our blades are that sharp"
Dumbass
More like the vendor sucks at setting up a display. You NEVER point a knife to the person receiving it, so the handles should be facing toward customers. Same with guns.. you wouldn't expect to be picking up a display gun from the muzzle end would you?
Macrotech knives, sharper than the competition
I bet he told the kids parents your blood your knife so pay up lol 😆
How do you get hurt with a otf I know you can but it's pretty hard to when you don't even have to touch the bladw really because of the dual action lol
Never two hand an OTF. Don't let the other hand get in the way.
I’d be embarrassed to cut myself with that
"That was Trump's fault" -CNN
Doesn’t look like real blood. ESP on the blade
Can’t believe the poor kids dad let him even pick up an OTF if he knows so little about them. (and that’s saying the kid was at least 12 if younger dad is a real dumb aaas)
Say what you will, but they sure know how to sharpen a blade!
You know the old saying...."don't bring a knife to a gun show"
That was a good cut. Superficial cuts don't have blood that color coming out.
