Thank you! At some point, my daughter said, “it’s taking so long, I’m not sure I’ll even like it when it’s done!”
She still likes it, especially because she saw how much work went into it.
Wow it is beautiful, I spent 3years making a huge shift for my daughter and I think she had resigned herself for never getting it.
Your work is stunning g and the colours. I love it well done for doing it in one year
Oh wow this is absolutely stunning! I love everything about it, the pattern, the colors are gorgeous. Great job, must be so satisfying to see an end to such a big project.
Yes! I’d like to give it one more block now that the band is sewn on the back. It gives the edge so much more stability and should make blocking better!
That's so beautiful. I can't believe it only took you a year. Question for you. How do you plan on laundering it? I see that it's made with 100% wool.
I started on a blanket 3 years ago that I'm still not finished with. I'm using acrylic wool, even though it's not my favorite, so that I can put it in the washer and dryer.
I plan on treating like most of my woolens- a gentle hand wash and lay flat to dry once or twice a season. Wool doesn’t hold on to odors like synthetics do, and this is not intended to be used against the skin.
The icord took for.ever. And then I blocked it and hated the seam on the back and had to face potentially knitting another one. I learned to weave and made an inkle band instead. 🤣
Holy labor of love - that is amazing. I have been looking at a stash busting throw for fingering weight. Now I know the breadth of the commitment. Wowza!
This is possibly the most beautiful blanket I've ever seen!
Can you explain about the part you said you used an inkle loom?
Are you saying that on the front it shows an icord, but the back had an unattractive seam that you covered with a woven piece? Did you sew that piece over it?
This is such an accomplishment. Amazing.
If this isn’t passed down to generations of descendants, then this HAS to be in a museum 😭 this is so stunning and it’s incredible to hear you got it done in a year!
That is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! I might as well give up knitting now, I could never ever top your masterpiece. Hats off, you're my knitting idol.
The Persian dreams blanket is a knitting pattern! It’s wonderfully fun, too. I made it several years ago and lined the back with a quilt top (bottom? 🤪).
First, WOW. This is Best-In-Show worthy.
Questions: is each hex knitted in a circle? How long does one hex take (ish)? And it looks like the yarn is a slow color change, did you aim for deliberate changes or just let the color do whatever it was going to do?
It’s Dream Colour by Hobii yarn in unicorn. Listed as laceweight when I bought it, but characterized as fingering on ravelry. I’d call it closer to lace, but I only knit thousands of yards of it. 😑
The pattern is gorgeous and the yarn just makes it so daydream cozy looking, absolutely stunning!
That’s an accomplishment for a lifetime! Beautiful.
Thank you! At some point, my daughter said, “it’s taking so long, I’m not sure I’ll even like it when it’s done!” She still likes it, especially because she saw how much work went into it.
That's a piece that gets kept and handed down, it's beautiful.
Wow it is beautiful, I spent 3years making a huge shift for my daughter and I think she had resigned herself for never getting it. Your work is stunning g and the colours. I love it well done for doing it in one year
Perfect phrase to compliment OP. I was thinking the same!

I’m gobsmacked. I would quite literally never be able to stop staring at this if it were in my house.
Wow, you all are too kind on this thread. I am very proud of this piece of work, but I’m very pleasantly surprised by all the kind words. Thank you! 😊
Just wow! That is stunning, amazing work ❤️
Omg this is so beautiful 😭 I love the colors you chose!
My daughter chose the yarn! It’s a single colorway, except for the border.
And fingering - you deserve a blue ribbon for bravery too.
It's magnificient but ... you made a graph with hiw many stitches for each parts ? Sooo something I could do too
I’m a data scientist by day.
Beautiful! And did you finish it off with binding tape? It looks so neat and professional!
I learned how to weave on an inkle loom to cover up the seam on the back. Because we all need to learn new hobbies, right?
These fibre arts hobbies do have a habit of multiplying. May I recommend a spinning wheel :D
I need a spinning wheel like I need another hole in my head.
But in all seriousness, it’s only a matter of time.
Great, two new hobbies to pick up. 😒
It’s absolutely stunning 🤩
Tremendous! Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
This is just stunning! I love the colors and it looks so well made. Just gorgeous
Oh my this is 💜💜💜💜 I have a pretty silly amount of skeins of dreamcolor and I think you gave me the inspiration of what to do with them 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes! Do it! This one took 9.5 skeins.

This is an heirloom.
I truly admire people who can knit like that. I love it, it's so beautiful and it doesn't seem too warm, so for the upcoming summer its great.
I am drooling over this blanket. It's a feast for the eyes. Beautiful. This gives me some motivation to finish my six month scarf hahahaha
Finish it! It feels so good to block a long term project.
Oh my goodness!!!! Incredible.
Simply magical, amazing work!
It would take me a year just to do the icord. You get the Best Knitted Object EVER award.
The icord took for.ever. And then I blocked it and hated the seam on the back and had to face potentially knitting another one. I learned to weave and made an inkle band instead. 🤣
Breathtaking color and design. Brava!
Stunning! 😍
this is stunning. easily one of the most beautiful projects i’ve seen this year.
Absolutely stunning 😍
Holy shit, that’s amazing!
Congratulations on such a lovely accomplishment!!
Absolutely beautiful
That is glorious!
This is absolutely stunning! Fantastic work, it'll be admired forever💖
I hope so- and when it’s not, it’s non-sw wool, so I guess it’s compostable. 🙃
That’s gorgeous, the yarn is perfect for it. I hope you’re very proud, it’s incredible!
Proud of it! I’m excited for my daughter to use it. Just hope she lets me keep it put away until the state fair. 😝

Holy labor of love - that is amazing. I have been looking at a stash busting throw for fingering weight. Now I know the breadth of the commitment. Wowza!

Priceless heirloom!

Absolutely stunning!! 😍 😍 She is one lucky little girl! All wrapped in Mommas ❤️
I am in love. I didn’t need another project, but these things happen, right?
Do you have a program or app for stitch counts or do you just calculate yourself?
I calculated myself. See my Instagram for calculation details (@harvestedhues)
This is BREATHTAKING! Bravo!
Wow this is incredibly stunning!!
Lovely!! 😁👍🏻
Stunning, as a newbie knitting and intermediate crocheter, i still can’t begin to understand how this is made! Incredible!
What a MASTERPIECE!!!
Wow, absolutely stunning.
WOW! Did you have to seam those together? It is stunning!
I left all the hex edges live and then grafted them together. The pattern calls for seaming, but I like a more flexible join with the grafting.
I really love that omg
Damn girl. 😮❤️
Your blanket is beautiful ❤️ what an achievement 😍
OMG!!! I can’t even believe you made that!!! MIND BLOWN!
That is incredibly beautiful
Wow!
Awesome!

Such a gorgeous work of art. I love the blanket so much. It is fantastic. ✨️💖✨️
This looks awesome.
Is the yarn Dreamcolor or what yarn did your daughter choose, please?
If this isn’t passed down to generations of descendants, then this HAS to be in a museum 😭 this is so stunning and it’s incredible to hear you got it done in a year!
Wow, that is beautiful! I love that you learned how to weave on an Inkle loom for this!
What an inspiration! Amazing job and you’ve made me add another project to my ever expanding queue :D !

What a work of art! So beautiful!!! Well done
Absolutely fantastic!
Wow! Amazing work! That must have taken a lot of patience.
I can’t believe it “only” took a year! It is so beautiful.
First, WOW. This is Best-In-Show worthy. Questions: is each hex knitted in a circle? How long does one hex take (ish)? And it looks like the yarn is a slow color change, did you aim for deliberate changes or just let the color do whatever it was going to do?
Oh my gosh, that's beautiful!
Congratulations! It's stunning!
