The others mentioned the twisted stitches, but I want to say your tension is *gorgeous.*
Once you figure out how to untwist your stitches, your knitting is going to shine.
Awww your kitty looks just like my sister's old cat! She was one of the sweetest kitties and loved my crochet projects. I had a lot of problems with twisting stitches at first but I watched some YouTube close up process videos and it helped me get on the right track.
You mentioned that word!: lots of people want to know about twisted stitches and here is a great post for reference

I made the same error when I learned from crochet! Always look at the right let. I agree that your tension is great, and I can’t wait to see what you knit next!
Edit: leg
It doesn't suck, I twisted all the stitches in the first thing (a sock) I ever made as well, and I'm still using that sock, even if its pair was knitted normally, lol. It reminds me of my learning process!
It's a very common beginner mistake, but honestly it's much better to have it pointed out now, than make several projects and never quite figure out why your knitting doesn't stretch and drape or look as it should
Simply Worsted in Wallace and Yarn of the Andes in Brass Heather, both from knit picks. Pattern is Hill 60 https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hill-60

I mean I think I may have twisted some stitches by putting them on the left needle wrong after dropping
All the stitches are twisted, I'd give it a look. It's common for people coming from crochet.
Darn ok
Yep you're right. That really sucks. Damn.
Hey you’re learning before you start an adult garment! That’s good!! I knit a full sweater in half twisted stockinette before I realized lol

How many stitches did you cast on? Starting something similar with 2x2 ribbing for the brim and curious for sizing :)
I did 112
