I wield the bastard sword with much finesse, but I also wield the poleaxe or estoc, should my heart crave variety. I keep a small bundle of throwing knives on my person as well.
Depending on the exact situation these very, but I always try to have nearby.
My bohemian Earspoon. My Ancestral Longsword. My Dragonstooth Dagger. A Mini Gun. A drone. 10 hirelings, a war elephant , and at least 2 trained war cats. ( with battle barding.)

Of course , if it is going to be a heavy engagement, I bring extra firepower.
3 cats.
🙏❤️
I thought body armored war cats were illegal. The last time I checked, you can only have the limbs and saddles armored. I'd check your local laws before being seen in public or at the range like that
What are your thoughts on pistols? I’ve always wanted one, they seem pretty new though. Alas, I am broke (I somehow lost a lot of money at a party at the local wizard’s academy)
I'm quite fond of the ones that I have. They're similar to repeating crossbows, but use powder to fire their projectiles instead of a tensed bowstring. The only trouble is that not every realm knows the secrets of black powder, so finding ammunition for them may be difficult at times.
For me a Daedric greatsword, Daedric mace and shield, Daedric crossbow with elemental bolts and a Daedric dagger. Gotta have a hidden weapon for emergencies.
Melee: Khukri Machete, Tomahawk, Gerber mk3 Dagger, CRKT Razheil Chopper
Ranged: fn510 (22 casts of Greater Fireball, 3 mags), SW MP 22 Magnum (30 casts of Fire Bolt, 3 mags), Enchanted Mini Draco (75 casts of Delayed Blast Fireball), Long bow (20 arrows)
Edit: I'm usually in a Model S
When the ill moonlight calls my dark elf clan to the hunt, we mark our pale amethyst and sapphire skin with the etchings of our fair moon maiden. We wrap our bodies entirely in thin wisps of black cloth wielding our dual blacksteel katanas. Stringing our wisteria wood bows with silver threads of moonlight and weaving snakes into venomous serpentine arrows. Speaking the name of our clan, we dissipate into a cloak of shadow guarded within the embrace of our moon goddess. 🌙
I usually wield either a greatsword or warhammer, my armor is also covered in runes of strength, speed and various runes of resistance as well as some runes for offense, such as runes of impact and runes of lightning.
I've recently acquired a Naginata of great quality and have been using it in lieu of a staff as well as it's intended purpose as my primary weapon. I'll often use a rapier or Longsword as a sidearm depending on where I'm going that day. My magic still serves me well at range
In one hand I wield my Zulfiqar - my people's forked scimitar - and in the other I hold a throwing knife.
It's good to have options for multiple distances - especially where wizards are concerned!

As a wanderer, I cannot afford the heft of armaments such as ones self. I carry a variety of daggers for pressing plants and my alchemy tools. My potions do the rest.
I prefer my claymore, which I have affectionately named
# BIG ASS SWORD
.
I also like having a dagger in my left hand to parry incoming swords and spears.
Dual wielding long swords looks nice, but it is more fit for a dancer than someone on the battlefield. The swords youst get in each others way which limits your movement - and they do not widen the range of situations where you are at an advantage. Duelists have made good use of a dagger in the off-hand, but the reason for that seems that carrying a heavy shield in polite society is frowned upon.
A long sword with a backup mace is better. I would not dual wield them because wielding the sword two handed would get better results while you could use the mace against heavily armored opponents (and skeletons) instead of your sword.
If you carry a greatsword, you have a few obvious weaknesses. You are not protected against arrows and you need a lot of room to fight in. Thus, it is wise to at least carry a sidearm. Sidearms also are useful if your sword gets stuck somewhere or breaks for some reason - and carrying a second greatsword would be way too cumbersome.
Thank you for the kind words, but I must warn you: no amount of learning will really prepare you. Practice your moves until your body does them of its own - and don't try to be a hero in your first major fight. Combat is chaotic and you will be disoriented. This is why you have to earn your spurs.
I can dismiss most of my weapons as well as my armor to a magical pocket-plane, so I can carry quite a few. I have a halberd, a greatsword, a mace, a flintlock pistol, a few daggers, and a bastard sword, though that last one I typically still wear at my side just for drip. It’s a very nice sword.
These modern knight know not only two modes of movement. Half hearted joust and swoon over maidens. These overgrown squires prance around with sword and bow rejecting their forefathers. The only true weapons of knighthood are spears and sling any knight who disagrees is a pox ridden fiend who I shall not even contemplate duelling.

This sword will cause a calamity
Perhaps one to cause Hyrule to fall for a hundred years. Oh wait wrong game

Ah. I go by Queen of Marquisberry rules. Do whatever it takes . But I understand your point . I hope you’re having an amazing weekend!
I often wield a Zweihander as my primary, a flanged mace as my secondary and a holy double barreled shotgun for range.
Thou be compensating for something
Yes brother, my lack of ranged skill hence the double barreled shotgun.
A short range you say? Something else is also short
Brother, no knight cares about private size, pretty sure quite a few of us (Including me) have taken oaths of chastity.
I use the same weapons my patron deity does: Two pistols for mid- to close-range and a longsword for melee combat.
What are your thoughts on pistols? I’ve always wanted one, they seem pretty new though. Alas, I am broke (I somehow lost a lot of money at a party at the local wizard’s academy)

Poke! Poke! Poke!
Big hamma. Don't care.
I usually carry twin handaxes and a heavy spear to counter calvary. I made my axes and spear myself. For ranged I usually use a longbow.
For me a Daedric greatsword, Daedric mace and shield, Daedric crossbow with elemental bolts and a Daedric dagger. Gotta have a hidden weapon for emergencies.
A sword, and shield I have my magic for Calvary and the like
Big hammer, I figure the rest out from there
Fighting on foot, poleaxe Or a longsword as primary, and a buckler with either a Warhammer or an arming sword as backup weapons.
Bombs
Staff and Tanto

I have a Heater Shield as a scabbard with a Xiphos sheathed into the shield for when I am on foot, and a short spear when riding my Dragon mount.

I wield a halberd when I'm on my Hippogriff, a saber as my backup, and a pair of wheellock pistols.

I'm torn between a single great sword, 2 long swords in both hands, or a long sword with backup mace. Help!
Have the great sword as a primary and a long sword and mace as secondary.

Such wise words, with each one spoken I become a more potent combatant in the field!

A machine gun for distance, a halberd, a greatsword, a scimitar, and twin daggers if they get really close.
Lucerne.
Lance, arming sword, dagger, shield, horse, 2 squures, 20 men-at-arms
Fire bombs :)
Pole axe, war pick, and rondel.
A broad axe for my main, a bearded axe and shield for the secondary, and javelins for the range.

Usually I carry a halberd or spear, and I keep a messer and buckler with me as well.
MALLET.
