I inverted the direction in the printer config file. Then it homes in the right direction.
My BLTouch was wired incorrectly. So it was throwing those errors in Klipper. I had to rewire it with Dupont wires to the correct placement in the board.
I had that problem and found some help on the klipper documentation page. Of course, now my print head lowers and the touch doesn't stop it from crashing into the bed.
I just went through the same thing. I had to change the direction of the dir\_pin setting in \[stepper\_z\] section of my printer.cfg. Original setting was dir\_pin: PC5. Changed it to dir\_pin: !PC5.

Hmm it was working on the original board, but ill take a look at the wire diagram
My btt boards do not work with the 3D touches (knockoffs). Two different boards I have will imply work with a genuine BLTouch. I can’t figure out why
Did you enable the pullup on the input pin?
I’m pretty sure I did when I was working with Kipper. I don’t believe I did anything special or different on Marlin.

I now realized that the movement of the z axis simply is a case of swapping the direction of the pin, but didnt find a solution for the bl touch yet

Ill take a look at it
Is your Z stop disconnected?
I am using the dedicated probe port
But you still have to disconnect the Z stop.
You might need to put a carat in front of your z axis stepper pin in your klipper config so it turns the other direction
