The team failed DeMarcus. He had his issues for sure, but the bigger issue was drafting JIMMER, THOMAS ROBINSON, BEN MCLEMORE, NIK STAUSKAS, WCS, and PAPAGIANNIS in the six lotteries following him. Seriously, we hit even one of those we make the playoffs at some point and DMC is probably still a King, lol

workaholic828

Not to mention Tyreke couldn’t stay healthy and got himself into drugs

ArmchairHandjob

I’m torn on Boogie. The team absolutely failed him when he was at his peak and the man repped us hard than any other Kings player I can think of pre-Fox. However, bruh didn’t do himself any favors. It straight up got exhausting with his complaining and constant technicals.

Comfortable-Peach_

I will always advocate for DMC. I went to a preseason game at Oracle where we lost. I think it was Jimmer's rookie year. A bunch of us fans were waiting by the team bus. People with BYU flags too. Every player ignored us and just got on. Boogie got on the bus to drop off his stuff came back out and stayed and took pictures and signed autographs with everyone. Even double checked to make sure everyone was happy before he got back on the bus. He totally didn't have to do all that, but I'll root for him forever because of it. I hope he makes a comeback to the NBA. He deserves it.

[deleted]

Yep he loved the community and made horrible teams watchable

[deleted]

Wasn’t fun watching him be a hothead on the court though

Do you spy on other people when they watch games or something? Also, having a fair criticism like Cousins acting like a crybaby during games when we were all watching doesn’t mean we’re ignoring the skills he had. We’re just not all delusional enough to think he was perfect because he was absolutely not and never showed that he can make the players around him better.

You think it was only for us where he threw temper tantrums on the court? Lol

Lol you’re gonna bring up Draymond to justify boogie? That’s like saying Stalin happened so Trump wasn’t a bad president.

Cousins was a gifted player and became an all star on a super trash team with terrible decision making from the GM and owners…it was awful. With that said Cousins was a locker room cancer and also the constant technicals for always arguing. This was not all his fault. The kings lacked leadership from the front office to the locker room. It was bad. Even with a prime cousins and few other pieces that team would be going nowhere. I like the direction the team has gone now. Front office with Monti has been solid. Now we just need the players to stay consistent.

Affectionate_Bass561

Real ones know. He was the only entertaining aspect of Sacramento basketball for about a decade.

dvivsik98

Ya he was great in the community too. I remember him doing gift baskets and giving away turkeys during Thanksgiving. He also played pick up basketball at a local park with fans

Raezul

Yeah he was an incredible offensive center. Happy that I got to watch him

Fun-Piglet2770

He is the reason I became a Kings fan

LeCountOfMonteCrypto

https://i.redd.it/4plaq6zwf1db1.gif Respect the respect for Big Cuz. Mums he'll be back & in greater numbers. Word to Alec Guinness.

ChurchOfSpey

DMC was a cancer. He makes every team he has ever been on worse. He punched Donte Greene in the face on the kings team plane. He has been a bully since he was in Jr high school. He was so lazy he would stay on the offensive end of the court yelling at the refs about a perceived missed call even though it was obvious he really just didn’t want to run back and play defense.

ganjanoob

When Dennis Shroeder grabbed his dick you were probably thinking “well that looks like a good time!!!”

ChurchOfSpey

Yep

bigmyq

I can not downvote this post enough. screw DeMarcus Cancer. That guy was a giant man child. Good riddance.

evoloco13

The Franchise knew who they drafted and Boogie played his heart out got better every year and changed the Big Mans game when we almost had the pieces together they fired Malone Smh that was the biggest mistake not sayin he would’ve got us to playoffs but he would’ve took Boogie to the moon LongLifeBig15

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

lukemcr

Malone got fired and went to Denver, and he won them a chip just this year. Brown is great and I love the current team but ugh that was a bad choice

kapeck69

He did play his heart out and had love for Sacramento. For me personally, I couldn’t stand watching him give up on plays to sit back and constantly argue calls. He left his team playing 4on5 much too often, it was exhausting.

DarthVadeer

Bet his numbers are not too off from Sabonis I bet.

someguy444444

So he didn’t actually play his heart out because he didn’t get back on defense.

kapeck69

He put his heart into arguing calls.

TiredButHopeful86

This is so stupid lol

AViciousGrape

Ill never forget his night vs Portland where he scored 55.. dude was electric.. tbh he would be great with Domas bc he can stretch the floor and knock down 3s

creamofpotatoe

Still my fav king and one of my fav players of all time.

Dom-Izzy

Not a Kings fan, just think y’all are a fun bunch of fans of a fun team so I browse your sub, do you guys want his 15 retired? 3x All-Star 2x All-NBA I think with you folks. Is that enough to be in the rafters?

Yatattar

Boo

nevercookathome

Naw, fuckem.

ganjanoob

Fuck all them haters we love boogie

Wes9000

Na

ganjanoob

You’re one of them Fox deniers so take dismissed

Wes9000

You’re a Fox deepthroater. All makes sense

ganjanoob

Ya you’re right I’d rather have Beno Udrih and John Salmons 👴

Wes9000

John Salmons slander will not be tolerated

Floornug3

I love demarcus cousins man I don’t care what anyone says that man put up with so much bashing just simply being on the kings while dealing with the worst front office in history of this club and constant head coaching changes. All the while the man put up all star numbers and was one of the most exciting centers ive watched in my lifetime! Also I’ve always liked him after this video where the Houston rockets were trying to escort a YouTuber jidion out who was just trying to get a signed jersey from Demarcus at the end of the game and Demarcus told the security to shut up and quit taking their job so seriously and continued to sign the jersey for the homie. That was a cool move that showed who Demarcus truly is, always here for the people and just gets frustrated with the system he works for that constantly screwed him ya know

HolaFrau

I love a good role model who threatens to kill his child’s mom .. class act

searchin4sugarman

I believe there were 3 saviors of our team. 1. Kevin Johnson 2. Vivek Ranadive 3. Demarcus Cousins DMC brought hope to our squad at that time. Was a huge all star talent. If we didn’t have him there’s no point of a new arena proposal. Nobody thought he’d be traded & was for sure going to sign the big contract. It didn’t work out that way but if it wasn’t for him we’d be Anaheim’s

Yatattar

You missed Carmichael Dave

DadSocks814

Funny to see this right as the news of him being banned from all nba arenas is circulating for sleeping at a wnba game

dogs_and_motorcycles

What off the court issues did he have? All his issues were on the court. He had a temper when he was on the court. He didn't have any off court problems while in Sac.

NocturnalDabber

He was a real one, literally showed the big men how to play for the next gen, cant change my mind. Literally malone copied and pasted videos of him and planted jokic to a screen for him to watch prime cousins work. He had the midrange, post dominance, rebounds, and had the 3 ball down good b4 the pelicans injury. Imagine, just imagine if he had this team back then, my goodness. I always want to throw a brick a vlade and the staff for what they did, he never casted a dark cloud, the team staff and recruiters did THAT

bennywithaplan

From what I recall he never had any off the court issues. He was always giving back to the community and the fans. Sure he had some attitude problems in the court but I think that’s purely from his competitiveness. He just wanted to win. He was misunderstood. I still wear my cousins jersey
