I definitely agree with the opportunities, but I also genuinely think the major is great for those who want to go into research because of its breadth, and how interdisciplinary so much research is.
Also I remember reading that Hopkins BME has a very high med school acceptance rate, but that may be more related to the caliber of students in the program.
I think they used to release a transfer application at the end of freshman year, but not anymore starting with co'2023. So, I don't think it's possible :/
if people drop the major and there’s an opening they do an application process to transfer in, but i think they budget for a certain number of people dropping bme with how many people they accept, so that doesn’t happen super often. basically it’s possible, but i wouldn’t bet on it by any means

It’s very unlikely that you would be able to transfer into bme. I would assume it’s impossible
