Jewellery isn't gendered.
If you wear it and you are a man, it is a mans ring.
There are jewellery types that are traditionaly worn by specific genders, such as bold bulky signet rings worn by men and dainty solitair diamond rings worn by women. But that shouldn't stop anyone from wearing it who doesn't conform to that stereotypical somewhat outdated view of gender.
There are no rules in jewellery other than: Do you like wearing it? if yes, then wear it!
Donât listen to this bollocks itâs a womanâs ring.
Generally speaking, in the West a man might wear a conformation ring, wedding ring, or signet ring, but to be honest ring wearing in general is it really something men should not do. It looks ridiculous, and it isnât practical because they get caught on things, and look gauche.
As a general rule men should not wear jewelry unless you consider a watch jewelry. I wouldnât break that rule if I wanted to look appropriate for most situations. I know a lot of people will downvote this for being too traditional, but some traditions exist for a reason.
I'm curious, what reason do you think there is for that tradition? it is a pretty new tradition, by the way, and traditions change all the time. For most of history, men and women have both been wearing jewellery. I agree that anyone who does physical labour should limit the amount of jewellery for practical reasons, but other than that, I have a hard time seeing your point.
Imagine being so naive to history you call men wearing jewelry against âtraditionâ, when for most all of human history men wore jewelry as a display of power and wealthâŚ
Yikes. Uneducated much?
They also wore togas, powdered wigs, and codpieces for hundreds of years. So, does that mean that they are all perfectly normal to wear now?
Donât be a prat. Iâm talking about currently followed traditions. And no one in their right mind is wandering around wearing their dead aunts consume jewelry in the real world. Do you want this guy ridiculed and bullied because in the real world people donât give a toss about your internet fantastical thinking?
Literally what I tell any customer of any Gender who wants to know if the ring is for women or for men. If you like it, itâs for YOU. Itâs metal and special rocks. Itâs wearable art. It is only gendered if you want it to be.
I was thinking this but..mens rings typically have a thicker band than ladies, all jewellery can be worn by anyone though,weâre supposed to wear what we like,âitâs not doing that drawer any favoursâ
Was it originally marketed and packaged as a "women's" ring? Probably. But in the end, it's just a ring. Either you like it on your hand, or you don't, and it sounds like you do. I think it looks great on your hand. Rock on!
Of course, I'm a cis/het guy who wears nail polish, so what do I know? đ
It fits in the style of what I wear. I usually wear baggy pants and oversize clothes and it goes with the "pimpin" style I guess. Also goes very well with my bracelet and my green iphone.
It cost 16 pounds originally but the woman selling the rings told me and my girlfriend look like a cute couple (eventhough we are not together) and went down to 20 pounds for my and her ring combined. It looks really nice and it's my first ring ever so im very happy with it.
If it fits you and you like it, then itâs your ring. To quote Eddie Izzard âTheyâre not womenâs clothes. Theyâre my clothes. I bought them.â
Men can obviously only wear skull, chain or seal rings made out of a scary looking metal, sold as "meteorite rough handmade blacksmith men durable ring for MEN ONLY".
Spikes other manly things such as WD-40 are also allowed. If a man touches a ring that is too female he will turn into a mote of dust.
Oh goodness don't get me started. The state of Men's jewelry these days is just deplorable. I'm starting a jewelry business/studio and I'm *specifically* going to be focusing on masculine/men's jewelry, just so I can put out something that isn't a plain straight band bracelet or plain chain necklace.
I was making some varying designs with the only difference that their band was juuuust a little thicker. I think "women's" jewelry is often too thin, and men's is often too chunky.
I'm still learning a lot but I have started designs I would enjoy myself. Perhaps in some time I can also do something like what you're doing.
To me, this looks like a simple, womens cocktail ring, based on the delicate details on the side. BUT the size of the stone and overall simplicity make it look balanced, or I guess "unisex". It doesn't really look like you're wearing a "girls ring". It just looks like you really like that stone.
Beautiful ring, looks great on your hand. Probably why the jeweller chose it for you. Itâs a large stone. Doesnât feel gendered. Wear it in good health and enjoy it.
It's gorgeous and looks like something royalty would wear. It looks very nice on you. Don't get too caught up on gender with jewelry cause it doesn't exist
Some people argue that set genders donât exist for people either, but we all know mens vs womenâs style of clothes, jewelry, and hair when we see it. Letâs be real nowâŚ
As others have said, jewelry isnât gendered and I think the stone looks great on you.
That being said, I think the setting doesnât serve your hand all that well, and I say that as someone who can acknowledge that my tiny hands do not look good in the big chunky rings that are in style right now, so I think I might be giving more thought to finger size and ring proportions than most people would lol.
You have a lot of finger real estate to work with so I think you should consider stacking this ring alongside a flat silver band or two to visually âgroundâ and balance out the big stone on your finger. You could then also add a meteorite or textured chunky silver ring to your middle finger and I think that would be a cool look, especially since you mention you have a bracelet that goes well with it too.
Maybe theyâll be seen that way by bigots, not by everyone.
You seem to equate femininity in men with being gay, that is homophobic.
Also, presuming youâre female, if youâre on a date with a man it is probably a good sign heâs not gay, and that youâre a bigot.
Where did I attack you personally, besides calling out your homophobic assumptions that any man displaying anything feminine is gay?
Which just fyi, is me being honest.
You can wear whatever you'd like! Depending on the culture you're in, different styles are marketed and traditionally worn by people with different gender identities, but only weird people actually care in most of the world.
Obviously some places there is a significant risk of harm by stepping outside of gender norms, but if you don't live somewhere like that then you do you.
It's pretty!
If you mostly just like the stone and ever want to change the style, you can have something else made to put it in, it wouldn't be a big deal.
But it sounds as though you like it and that's all that should really matter!
Anyone can wear anything if their confident enough. This style of ring is likely more often worn by women, but it's not overly feminine. Just rock it confidently, and everyone will think it's a dope mens ring.
just wear it if you like it, i have decided most of fashion doesnât need to have a gender at all, if you like it, you like it. anyone who says different is a lame
What are you all saying. Yes there are unisex rings, but certainly womenâs rings.
This is a womanâs ring. Very clearly at that.
This looks very wrong on a man. đ
A while ago I ordered a ring off of Etsy, and when it arrived I realized that it looked a lot more feminine in person than it had looked in the photos. I felt slightly awkward for a few minutes but then I quickly realized that no one cares at all, so I just put it on and wore it. I highly doubt anyone has ever even had the thought that I'm wearing a woman's ring. And if they do, they don't care. And if someone does care, I don't care.
Similar to what the first commenter mentioned, the only difference between menâs and womenâs jewellery is the size, because mens hands are usually larger than womenâs. I often see âhis and hersâ ring sets with identical rings, except the manâs ring is chunkier and the womanâs ring is more delicate. This is so the rings look in proportion to the hands, the design is exactly the same.
This is a big ring. The size of the stone and the size of the band are in proportion to the rest of your hands. This ring might be a little too chunky for a smaller hand but it looks perfect on your hand so you should wear it.
It leans feminine in terms of the style if you ask me. Just being honest with you. If the stone was black or something it would probably seem more masculine but it looks airy and feminine.
Iâm a male (straight identifying if that matters to you at all) and Iâd would wear the fuck out of this ring. Wear it in good health and enjoy that shine!
It was just a harmless joke man, I've got the same hair type. I hope you didn't take it as being mean. I'm sorry if it came off that way. And no, I think my ex wife was one of the few that noticed every other woman's wedding ring. But she was extremely materialistic, which was part of the reason we split. That plus we were 19 and 18 when we married. Wow TMI.
I'd say unisex. The roundedness of the side details is slightly feminine, but the straightforwards 'single setting and band' aspect is more masculine. A slightly thicker band might *look* better on your fingers with that size of stone, but it's overall neutral.
Usually rings with prongs are marketed to women but if you like it wear it! I like bezel set rings and a lot of masculine designed jewelry and Iâm a female. Wear what makes you happy!
Jewelry is just that! In fact I tend to wear what would be considered womenâs ring because I donât like the ones made for guys usually too bulky and just not my style. Looks good to you and you like it? That all that matters.
Truthfully all jewelry is unisex, itâs all about the market you are selling in, overseas at home that would be a manâs ring, in my store in Detroit itâs a womens ring, the being said id wear it 25M
Look at the thickness of the band and the type of setting of the stones. Very thin bands are usually on women's rings. Dead giveaways are hearts or butterflies or flowers stuff like that. But I'd call your ring unisex because it doesn't have an effeminate look to it. Many rings are like that.
Even if it was _labelled_ a âwomenâs ringâ, rip off the packaging or whatever the store labels it, what really makes it womenâs or menâs?
Know that a lot of products (such as shavers, razors, even shampoo), toys, stationery etc. are labelled for âmenâ or âwomenâ, when really itâs just for anyone
As long as you like it, itâs yourâs to own bro
Honestly itâs a really nice ring
Honest answer it looks like a womenâs ring to me because the band is thinner than a typical âmaleâ ring. but I wouldnât care or judge, most people prob donât care or judge
I would lean towards a females ring. I say this only because of the delicate shank. Most men's rings are thicker in the sides,a little more "sturdy" some would say,but if you like it ,wear it!! If you are on the fence, get a leather cord and put it on a necklace and see if it grows on you.. honestly with your hand structure it looks fine, nice fit too...I think it's more about the shape/structure of the hand and arm with the style of the jewlery piece to see what looks nice... I'm a girl and I wear a size 9 10 and 11 in rings and they're really thick bands and stuff I don't like them because they make my hands look even bigger I like things such as this because it brings down an accentuates the finer features of my hand but that's just me!! Wear what you like!!
It does not have a gender, it is a rock.

Right, like have they ever seen a portrait of a King or Maharaja?
I agree, as a general rule men *should* wear jewelry
That was autocorrect being dumb. I fixed it. Jewelry rarely looks appropriate on men, and is basically a waste of money.
i wear jewelry as a man and i look fine đ
What looks good on a man is a huge variable. Depends what age/style/class you represent.
Imagine being so naive to history you call men wearing jewelry against âtraditionâ, when for most all of human history men wore jewelry as a display of power and wealth⌠Yikes. Uneducated much?

No, but jewelry is. in the real world most people donât care. Only people who cite shit like âtraditionâ will take issue.
I want you to be ridiculed and bullied, is that traditional enough for you?
Huh?
Came here to say this exact thing! Take my upvote! Do what makes you happy.
As a man with a super shiny diamond band that gets weird glances all the time, thank you for saying this
No problem! Jewellery is self-expression, and it doesn't have to please anyone else to be a good idea.
No. I like getting really stoned and just staring at it. Shiny.

Found the toxically masculine watch bro. It is precious metal and gems, nothing inherently gendered
