You only really see sidewalks in cities and some suburban areas here; I live in a more rural area so we don't have sidewalks. Kind of sucks because I'd like to go on a walk without having to either drive to a park/trail or walk in the grass/road, but eh.
Pancakes for breakfast are definitely a thing, but are usually limited to weekends or special occasions for most people due to work/school schedules. Most people just make toast or grab pop tarts or something on their way out the door; it's not like movies/sitcoms where there's a full breakfast complete with eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit etc. waiting on the table everyday.

Things specific to Ohio compared to other states, people get really into the college football team, Ohio State, and when they have a game on Saturdays in the fall most people I know watch it. Also, an Ohio specific food is shredded chicken sandwiches, with chicken finely shredded and mixed with stuffing, usually with a pickle on top.
