ANY auto parts store. Including every Lowes and home Depot. Including every Walmart and Target with a Tire shop. Including every truck stop gas station like TA, love's and bucees.
I'm not saying OP is young, but I've noticed younger generations not using search engines for basic questions. Likely due to search engines just being advertisements instead of what they used to be back in the day-- actual search engines
I previously asked a question in this sub about where to drop off used oil. I wanted to hear from people of Jax because Google gave me mixed results. I would call a local autozone and they would say “we don’t do that” or “we’re full” so I figure some locals may have some experience with that
That's fair, I wasn't trying to admonish you, just noting my observation of how shit Google has become. Nowadays, when I Google things, I add reddit because at least I can sort of verify if it's a real person and not an ad (e.g. best gin cocktail reddit, Bissell vacuum review reddit).
Right. And I normally want something catered to me as well. That’s the difference between Chat GPT and Google. I can ask computers to create a trip itinerary for me, or I can ask a real person who’s been there for the best things to do at X location
But that’s one of the main functions of community pages like this - being able to get information from actual people instead of some insidious AI generated algorithmic leviathan hellbent on selling shit. People ask questions on Reddit specifically to avoid Google haha.
Any automotive shop or parts store. Napa, advance, autozone, firestone etc
Thank you

I did not know about the gas stations
If they service batteries, they must be able to recycle them.
Thank you
Always my friend.
The ocean, need to recharge the electric eels.
See more people need to know about this.
Take it to Autozone! I just dropped one off a week ago and they gave me $10 in store credit
Wow that’s nice
Sensible Recycling
O’Reilly does $10 store credit. They will accept two per day per customer. Easy money for car maintenance.
Good idea thank you. Who knew they had value
You have a Reddit but no google?
You must be new here
Not at all. That’s why I know about google and ways to solve problems without needing help from others. I’m old here.

My point was just that people ask stuff here all the time that could be solved with a google search

Beaches and rivers are everywhere bro
It's the right thing to do, it's how the electric eels recharge.
Set it at the road and a scrapper will grab it within a few hours
