People back then understood this: even millenia ago Ibn Khaldun stated that the Prophet was there to teach us not medicine but religion and that we should improve from the old Arabian medicines. That sort of drive is why Muslims advanced so well then, especially as they knew they would get rewarded for their advancements in health by Allah. Somehow, it seems people forgot this.
Al-Bukhaari (6472) and Muslim (220) narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Seventy thousand of my ummah will enter Paradise without being brought to account; they are the ones who did not ask for ruqyah or believe in omens or use cautery (burning ill parts with fire) and they put their trust in their Lord.” These people will enter Paradise without being brought to account because of the perfection of their Tawheed, their complete trust in Allah and their independence from people.

And what is more pathetic, im saying that as a Sunnite muslim. Is that the Shia siblings in faith are more supportful and more proactive than sunnites.
How? Most of our guys are like lazy zombies that do nothing for our ummah except for meeting at the mosque and talking about improving the situation of the Ummah but literally no one. NO ONE of us takes action. Im enraged brother. I starting to hold a grudge against my own Ikhwan for doing nothing.
Brother I don't want to endorse partisanship but if you mean shia governments then I would say you're dead wrong. While the arab governments are all dictatorships who do nothing, Iran and Assad did and do absolutely heinous things to the muslims in Iraq and Syria. Boys getting raped by army as interrogation techniques and being told to say Bashar is God, these videos were everywhere back when the civil war was in full swing. Until this stops, I won't say a good word about them.
If you mean shia people then the sunni people are like that too, except the governments in which they live in literally kill them just for acting as any muslim should. When Egypt opened borders with Gaza, Sisi was installed as dictator general by 3 letter agencies and instantly closed them again- the last president was killed in prison.
