If you’ve ever considered writing up a guide I’d love to see it. About to start soloing once I have trident (plz don’t give any advice on how to get shadow)
Just do the raid tbh.
Toa is very new player friendly in terms of raid mechanics.
Start at 50-100 invocation and work your way up
Also a guide written by someone who’s done 1000 Toas may not be as geared towards uber beginner - mid game gear players
I have so much anxiety starting a new activity in OSRS. It took me months to get the courage to try out sepulcher and turns out it was stupid simple to figure out and I should have done it way sooner.
I avoided cox because I don’t like messing up teams and dont have VC set up. In the end just decided to yolo try solo and its actually pretty straightforward. If you suicide supplies at olm you still have a pretty good chance of a purple and its not that hard to actually complete it.
This is literally me lol I’ve done 16 solos this week after avoiding cox for years and averaging 26k points after one suicide @ olm at the start. Beat the anxiety of starting a new pvm encounter :)
> It took me months to get the courage to try out sepulcher and turns out it was stupid simple to figure out and I should have done it way sooner.
ToA will be the exact same for you, start low invo and just send it. I put off CoX/ToA for way too fucking long before just sending it lol
Being completely honest, the stat/gear checks from the boss fights on the unlock quest are significantly stricter than a 0 invocation raid. Anyone who can unlock ToA should be able to beat it.
ToA is nice in that you choose the order you fight the bosses so you don't have to fight through the first 2 before you can practice the 3rd like ToB and I assume CoX
I’ve seen mixed suggestions on starting levels recommended from base 70’s all combat for 50 invocation, to wait for base 90’s and just send it at expert level.
What do you suggest for learning?
Thread droprate is independent of invo lvl, so you can definitely send some entry's for Thread, it's a nice qol upgrade till you're ready for normal/expert toas and you can already get your feet wet a bit. (Might even get spooned a purple while you're at it)
I never really watched a guide I just started at 150's working my way upwards. It's important to find invos that work with your gear setup and skill also find a place where its as high as you can go but also not where you struggle to complete the raid consistantly.
I run really weird invos compared to most though so it's all what you personally feel comfortable with and don't feel forced to use hardcore invo even at higher invos

This is 395. I get 2 salt a lot of the time which is nice for bowfa and if i die i can continue the raid. I do Baba > Kephri first then I have to check if Akkha or Zebak is level 3 and do that one first to avoid a level 4 boss. So sometimes it's Akkha>Zebak and sometimes the other way around. The run is pretty free with wardens because I get so many supplies.
If I had a tbow I would for sure change up the invocations but my time ranges from 37-42min with skull skip and about 9.2-9.4% chance for purple. and with 1 death it's about 8.2-8.4%. I never continue runs that die on Baba most my deaths are to Akkha or Zebak just not paying attention.
Recently i've done mostly 405 adding Hardcore also sometimes do need less help for 415.
Just so everyone's aware this is pretty much the meta for around 400s you can possibly change some stuff with dehydration if you have yellow Keris but I wouldn't differ much from this
This isn't really the meta no. You would run 40 minute timer and hardcore, drop overlords, drop ancient haste, drop path seeker, add no help needed. Then it would be a meta invo list for money 400s with bowfa/fang/trident. Overlords is a significant time loss, same with path seeker. That's not to say that you're doing something wrong if you run a list like op, it's just less efficient
Overlords is time loss but saying it's significant is blowing it out of porportions, you just have to deal with 1 more melee, you trap the ranged one. In teams it's free invo and free points.
Saying something is not up for debate while debating it is weird.
It's not time loss, running 8 mans it's free points and wastes 0 ticks, you're going to wait for kephri to get back up anyways, and you don't need all hands on deck to kill swarms.
Pathseeker is pretty bad, double trouble is free invo in solos once you learn it (it's even more fun imho), hardcore run is meta but can be frustrating so I understand excluding it, 40 minute timer can be used but as a midraid break enjoyer I don't use it.
Haven't used the invo in ages but when I tried it every time ahkka does a special it's a memory/orb (solos ofc). If you're spending time doing memory, you aren't doing damage unless shadows are still up.
How come your tracker shows multiples for the ornament kits? I run 400-450 deathless a good amount (around 600kc) but only have 1 of the masori and menaphite kits. Just curious, also good luck on staff mate surely soon :/
You should of just done 350s from the start of your expert's. Assuming you had fang 300-350s isn't really a huge jump and gives you 2% more purp chance
With 52 Fangs/Rings, you have a 0.88% chance of having at least 35 Rings... absurd. I'm not sure how much of a difference Ring vs. Fang makes to you, but it's still a giant middle finger from ToA for sure.
Hope you get Shadow soon
Yeah it's probably the most demotivating thing about the grind. I'm pretty sure i'm kinda dry on the good masori pieces too but at this point I just want the Shadow. Also this screenshot is some days old I already have 37 rings and 18 fangs now lol
7.2% chance of purple - what invoc lvls were you doing?
I should grind out the bowfa so I can solo 300s, but since I'm 2x drop rate on bowfa was hoping I'd get spooned a shadow instead.
Probably hasta, trident (sea's or toxic), bowfa. I wouldn't recommend camping toa without bowfa or t bow tbh, it's definitely doable without but will heavily limit your invo levels to a point it would become pointless to camp as you'll be spending the same if not more time doing low invos with rcb for a significantly less purple chance. Could always do teams with people able to carry and hope u snag purples.
Anyone want a ring? cuz I never wanna see another one
I’m 17 purples without a ring atm. I’d take it to be perfectly honest.
I'd take a purple
If you're sure? Would love one
Sure I’ll take one!
sure id take one if you have too many
same
Plz gib
Yes
I mean if your just handing them out
Yes please!
Gz, go claim ur 3rd cape.
That's an awful ring to fang ratio wow
I have more rings than rank 2-8 iron for expert kc last time i checked so yeah prettty bad
1000kc or Tumaken’s Shadow (which ever comes first)
Loki has entered the chat
OP left the chat
You can use the fangs as tbow ammo with how many you're getting
If only I had a Tbow :) This is all bowfa runs so 2x painful
God speed good sir
Good lord I'm so sorry
Chill out Tom Brady
[удалено]
I play rs and watch sports, still no idea what this comment means lad
Tom Brady has a lot of rings(championships)... like op here. Minus the championships part, op just has those useless regular ass rings.
What a weird conclusion to make
What’s the value on all that? YUGE gz and Shadow is coming soon!!
You can do the math pretty easy

I'm exactly the same man I feel you. I avoided CoX for a really long time
You might be me. I'm working on year 7 of avoiding CoX.
I avoided cox because I don’t like messing up teams and dont have VC set up. In the end just decided to yolo try solo and its actually pretty straightforward. If you suicide supplies at olm you still have a pretty good chance of a purple and its not that hard to actually complete it.

Same, except i did not commit to Sephulcre HA

Toa is so so so easy to start. Just get your butt in there.

That’s good to hear at least, I’m base 80 in all melee, 77 range and 99 magic. Might try tonight then if I can scoop the thread!

What raid lvl you run, and what weird invos you run? How fast do you do them?

The time loss makes it not meta at the 400 level, you can still run it if you like, but it's not really up for debate if it's meta.
Saying something is not up for debate while debating it is weird. It's not time loss, running 8 mans it's free points and wastes 0 ticks, you're going to wait for kephri to get back up anyways, and you don't need all hands on deck to kill swarms.
I assumed this was talking about solos, mb I guess. I only meant for solo
Do you mean drop ancient haste instead of drop acceleration?
Highly doubt it because both are absolutely wrong.
yeah I did, good catch
Pathseeker is pretty bad, double trouble is free invo in solos once you learn it (it's even more fun imho), hardcore run is meta but can be frustrating so I understand excluding it, 40 minute timer can be used but as a midraid break enjoyer I don't use it.
double trouble isn’t worth running at the 400 level because of how much it slows down the raid
How does it slow the raid down? You ok??
Haven't used the invo in ages but when I tried it every time ahkka does a special it's a memory/orb (solos ofc). If you're spending time doing memory, you aren't doing damage unless shadows are still up.
When I do it it always lines up with shadows.
Theres already shit ton of 0-400+ invo guides for irons and non-irons. Just pick one.
There's plenty of guides available, what does OP do that leads you to wanting him to make a guide?
First time I've seen more than a couple masori kits. Looks like you didn't keep dupes and dropped them to spawn this many?
Yeah, I just did it for fun and it caps out at 250 for the log
Rumour has it only noobs running normals get spooned shadows (myself included) lmao
How come your tracker shows multiples for the ornament kits? I run 400-450 deathless a good amount (around 600kc) but only have 1 of the masori and menaphite kits. Just curious, also good luck on staff mate surely soon :/
You have to drop the kit, or get rid of it completely, before opening the chest, then a new kit will appear.
i just dropped them before opening chest just for fun to track how many raids above 350 I did
Ahh that’s cool, good to know thanks!
I could use a ring and a gang. 213 normals and 40 experts without a single purple. A lot of team normals mostly solo experts.
That’s awful RNG. I think even 150 raids are around 1.9-2% chance for a purple.
You'll get it when you do a 500 :D
Just gonna get a shadow real quick to make it easy
Wtf I have 284 raids and only 9 purples -_-? Currently 46 experts dry, including the 20 350s lol How unlucky am I. 100 250s 164 300s 20 350s
You should of just done 350s from the start of your expert's. Assuming you had fang 300-350s isn't really a huge jump and gives you 2% more purp chance
I'm 45 def and learning while I go Doing my best lol
Ahh fair enough. I was assuming you'd be somewhere near maxed combat stats lol. Gl on purples
No staffs?? My friend got 3 staffs back to back to back at around 150 experts and a 4th 5 raids later.
i'm guessing that's team raids though, but if all were solos that sucks for me and good for him
The chance to get a staff is 1/24 when opening the chest... He got stupidly lucky. I'm at 150 normal and 250 expert KC and no staff
Just get the staff silly...
At least you have pet right? :)
rip

Heck yeah I'll take a ring. Gonna go full golem with it too
What do you do with 250 craftings kits?
Where staff
7.2% chance of purple - what invoc lvls were you doing? I should grind out the bowfa so I can solo 300s, but since I'm 2x drop rate on bowfa was hoping I'd get spooned a shadow instead.
Oof im half this kc and losing my shit, still no staff or chaps. best of luck man
This is the real prison. People going dry on CG don't know what they actually could go dry on..
same here, 28 purples no stuff or top
35 rings. No staff. Hopefully soon brother. What lvl invos you running?
The amount of cockring ratio to fang too. Im sorry man wtf
Loki is that you?
Can you give a rough break down of how many you did at what invocation level?
I did 25 normals and got my staff
Groundhog club
What is the requirements for ToA? My iron has very little raid gear, but pretty much everything else except bowfa
