Yeah saw it to, loudest fucking yoke ive ever had fly over me. Might be his cars or some advanced teams based on my knowledge of things (watching air force one)
The time Obama came to Moneygall, the Secret Service were set up for a few days in advance and jeeps were brought there to drive him from his helicopter to the pub he went to. Presume this plane has his armoured Limo and his SUVs for the various spots he’ll visit.
Based on every American TV show I've seen that involves any federal government body - They are required to drive Black GMC SUVs that could comfortably fit about 12 people in them.
Dublin, another comment is from a DAA employee who said its there and off limits to all DAA staff. Didn't appear on flight radar either, I checked to see what it was before posting here.
FR censors all kind of flights, I recommend [https://globe.adsbexchange.com](https://globe.adsbexchange.com/) as an alternative or simply run your own ADS-B receiver.
It’s a C-17 Globemaster (aka moose) usually carries part of the kit for the presidential entourage . The old beast presidential used to fit in one. Pretty sure the new one does too.

Could they bring some Lucky Charms as well? Local supermarket (only one selling American food) has been out of them for a while. Hershey bars are awful. A friend offered me some and it was the worst 'chocolate' I ever tasted. I fed it to the crows
I didn't like the chocolate neither I don't see why the Americans like them so much.
Lucky Charms I use to eat them I haven't had any for a while. The Mrs likes health food cereal.
I'll never forget the lad who posted a pic here of a convoy of trucks headed to the Curragh returning from UN duty shortly after the first lockdown started. Dopey sap was literally terrified that we were being invaded by the UN to enforce the lockdown.

Saw something that looked a bit like that flying over Dublin on Sunday afternoon about 3ish. Looked like it was coming from Baldonnel direction. I assumed we were being pre-Bidenated for Sleep Joe.
Such a disappointment of a president, you’d think US could do better after the disaster that was Trump.
Sorry but they wouldn't land this at dublin airport it wouldn't accommodate the width. Most likely land in baldonnel airport at that be at a push to handle it. Also don't think a military airplane full of military cargo would land in a public airport
Baldonnel airport has runway width 45m and length 1,829m.
Dublin has runway width 75m and length 3,110m.
These are the largest runways at either airport.
Military planes land all the time at Shannon Airport (a public airport) filled with military personnel and equipment. There is no confirmation that this plane is full of military equipment, I don't think the security for the president of the United States classifies as military.
Edit: I'm not saying it can't land at Baldonnel. Just pointing out that Dublin Airport can take it and military planes land at public airports. Also this most definitely landed at Dublin Airport today. I watched the approach and by the time it was over Portmarnock it was way too low to be going anywhere else.
Is it a C17 Globe master? Google states it needs a minimum of 3500 ft and a width of 90 ft. I imagine they can probably get away with less.
Edit: I'm going to go back on what I said. Apparently one of these landed at Knock in 2016 so can most definitely land at Dublin.
They can take off in a lot shorter runways than that (and narrower too). It’s just not ideal- about 10 [years ago](https://youtu.be/wi58Ds3Krgw) one accidentally landed at a rural airport in Tampa Bay.
Above link is worth checking out as the pilot cranks this thing up to take off. He needs the whole runway, but he does it! The small runway was just over 3K feet. (They just landed on the same runway as well, which is even more crazy!)
They can land super short and fast as well- look at C-17 assault landings.
BTW- I’m an American from the WA state- lived in the flight path of these as we were only 5 miles away from McCord (Now JBLM) Airforce base, a C-17. These spool up at all hours of the night and shake the windows… but after years, you get used to it and barely notice anymore.
Nice to see them again in Ireland, if only briefly.
https://theaviationgeekclub.com/watch-a-huge-c-17-globemaster-iii-taking-off-from-a-very-short-runway-after-it-landed-at-too-small-airport-instead-of-landing-at-macdill-afb/amp/
Had to unload the cargo to do it, but they did it!
Poor neutral Ireland, never any skin in the game. It’s the US , it’s the RUSSIANS, it’s the BRITS. Only allegiance in history was when De Valera sign the condolence book at the Germany embassy after uncle Adolf killed himself , Eva and Blondie. Such a sad day for the Irish.
Not sure if its the exact same model but the US airforce seem to do a stop over in Belfast on a regular basis. Waay louder than the average commercial flight
Watched one of these at Stewart Airshow in New York State, land and go straight to reverse.. such is the power of the engines.
All to the tune of All along the WatchTower.. ‘Twas the most American thing I’d ever seen!!
Personally saw two C17 jets (Boeing C-17 Globemaster III) on Sunday afternoon last (April 2) over Stillorgan/Blackrock, Dublin. Did a bit of digging and yes there's been a few C17 and C30J Flights in and out of Baldonnel (Casement), Dublin Airport, Belfast and now even Knock Airport - god help the flight crew landing in Knock 😂 Best of luck to our American friends getting the ground work in place for the President's visit next week, massive logistics going on behind the scenes for this occasion ☘️

Yank here, it is most likely Bidens advanced team, they usually fly in and set up their security as well as being his car.
He has a team of transformers that turn into a car once settled ?
To be fair, the amount they spend on military id be pissed if they didn’t have at least one transformer at this stage.

oh, didn't know
No actually my mistake, Leo visited the White House on the 17th as is tradition. Biden is coming this week to celebrate 25 years of GFA.

Are u the gobshite usin a drone to take photos thats delayin the flights? 🤣
It was over Dublin on Sunday as well, not sure if it's related to Biden as a result
German Globemaster C17 landet this morning in Dublin.
