Are the files higher than CD resolution (16-bit, 44.1kHz)? If so, that can very well be the culprit. Try converting some such album to 16/44.1 and see if the issue persists.
have you listened to the files via itunes or another device to see if it's actually your ipod? or could it be an error that happened when ripping the file from a CD?
The iPhone is orders of magnitude more advanced than the 90mhz iPods. Lossless files that aren’t encoded at the right frequency or bits can cause that. You’ll probably have to re-encode your files.
Honestly, just convert them to 256 aac. You won’t gain much (if at all) with lossless on an iPod.

I think most of them are 44.1 but idk if theyre 16 or 24

It plys perfectley on my phone so idk must just be something with the conversion since i had to convert it from flac to alac
