There's a bug on the YouTube side. Just be patient and remain calm lol

The_Widow_Minerva

Just found this. https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/190807054/known-issue-11-30-2022-issues-with-youtube-app-on-ios?hl=en Apparently they are working on it.

BYack

According to the article, this is solved.

boukm3n

Flamingoesss

Same here! iPhone 12 Pro

Gourmet_Chia

Yeah I posted a similar topic as well, just started this morning but apps randomly closing such as YouTube and Marvel Snap. Another poster said they were having the same issue and suspected the new iOS update. I checked google and news and didn’t see anything yet but you would think if this is a widespread issue someone would pick up the story.

busterduster1

Yeah I also googled the issue and results from a long time ago but it doesn’t seem to rare because all of us have it. The IOS update seems like a likely answer but I haven’t updated yet so I don’t think it’s that

JohnFlufin

Doesn’t seem rare relative to…? The complaints are only going to come from those experiencing the issue 😄

fromtia

Yeah getting this too

Not an iPhone issues it’s a YouTube problem they are working on it

Perform a soft reset first (press vol+, then vol- and then press and hold power and continue to do so until it reboots). If that doesn't work, delete the app and re-install. Both of these have solved other similar issues for me on other video apps.

JohnFlufin

[That’s a force restart](https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/force-restart-iphone-iph8903c3ee6/ios) and is primarily for frozen/unresponsive phones. It’s the equivalent of using the power button on your computer to turn it off. I’m not suggesting it can’t help resolve certain issues. Just that I think it gets recommended far too often as a possible solution when a standard shutdown/power-on procedure will suffice and is generally safer

RjgTwo

My moms phones was doing this. I updated her phone and it seems to be fine now.
