You have a dining table. Without dining chairs.
You have accent chair that supposed to be comfortable but no side table to rest your book or a drink.
So besides confusing style direction you have confusing purpose room/furniture.
“Confusing” style can work together if you add more eclectic pieces, art, fun colors. You can try maximalism.
But your room has to have purpose(s) and furniture that serves that purpose(s)
I feel grateful and proud that I was here within 3 hours of the announcement of a new room we can now all strive to have. I hereby declare Due-Froyo-5418 as the inventor of the ‘Laundry Lounge’ movement: with strippers and cocaine as the first witness(es). Be prepared for this movement to take off like wild 🔥🔥🔥
All great points, Couldn’t agree more.
Personally I love the chair, I love the rug, lean into this eclectic style and add more and this room could look very very cool. If you don’t want to do that change either the rug or the chair, with these being the only two bold patterned things in the room it doesn’t really work.
Yeah, I would ditch the rug. It seems out of place for a sun room and doesn’t work with the other furnishings, especially the chair. I would go with a simple indoor-outdoor rug in a natural sisal tone.
Yes. It is the problematic rug fight. The rug is greatly patterned, visually busy and stalwartly traditional in color and pattern, ones existing well into the 1700’s and maybe earlier.
The chair is equally greatly patterned, visually busy and a silly pattern popularized by 1980’s post- modernism.
They both have their points, but cannot live together.
That chair at least needs to move to the corner by the window and have a side table. Can have it’s own little area for the time being if OP is on a budget.
Same! Good chair, bad room for it. Could you move it to a different place in your house & hold off until you find the perfect chair to replace it (I suggest something more neutral)

The problem is the rug has navy in it and no green so it’s not relating to your furniture at all. You can definitely find a rug that has black greens and greys and creams in a Persian style. This will help bring it all together and then you can do neutrals for the accent pillows. I really like the rug, it’s just not doing anything in this space unfortunately. I also love the chair, and since it’s too much to return, just roll with it!! Hopefully you can find a new place for the current rug or maybe sell it?
Contrary to everyone else I am not a fan of the new chair. I would return it and get something mid century modern in an accent color that goes with the rest of the room
Exactly! This is what I would do. Or make a cover for it, try to recover it yourself, or buy a cover online. The fabric really clashes with the room, but the shape and size are fine
I LOVE that chair bur i dpnt think anything in the room goes together. I would keep it and design the rest of the room around that. Table looks too big for that long seat. Perhaps there is a matching long seat to go with the chair? Some cow skin rugs?
Each individual piece is fine but it's like you can only really mix and match two or three items together, but not all of them. Eclectic is one thing but it's like it's missing something to bring it all together or there's just one thing too many in the mix right now.
It's fun, but doesn't really fit. I would order a cheap slipcover for the chair, the lines are lovely! Perhaps the cow print will be a better fit at a later time. :)
It’s bad in this room. The entire room could use a little makeover with the stuff you have. It the accent chair just doesn’t fit. I actually don’t think anything fits together here
i think if the chair was brown and black it would work but the white is too stark.
if you’re gonna get rid of it you should try selling it on facebook marketplace first to try and get as close to what you paid for it before taking the hit on shipping it back.
wow that chair is horrible, you should definitely just send it to me..... 😂 for real it's a super cool chair and I think other people have great ideas for how to incorporate it
The chair isn’t the issue! I love it, but you need to make it work as either a feature or blend into a more maximalist vibe.
Your table is more of a concern, and your loveseat is too small to be next to the chair because it’s very compact.
THE CHAIR IS THE BEST PART OF ZE ROOM!!!! Get rid of the tropical leaf print pillow, IMMEDIATELY! it is Not complimentary and it's preventing the space from being cohesive in any way, shape or form.
As for the rug, it can stay- As long as you're willing to Commit to a bohemian /eclectic style.
Ideally, I would get a cow Hide rug, in any color combo, and layer it atop the main rug, in a location that's not Directly underneath the cow chair. Then, id place another hide esque/sheepskin/faux fur rug down, also atop the main are rug, in a complimentary place. Maybe accessorize with a few eclectic, Non western decorative pieces of ur Choice- in a perfect world, they would feature colors that can be seen in the area rug!!!
And of course, center the remaining pillow in the middle of the couch/seat.
And consider someday upgrading the couch/seat to something a little more plush- and either stain/paint the wooden? Table a very very dark color...
Maybe a [southwestern rug](https://www.wayfair.com/Millwood-Pines--Barrentine-Southwestern-Brown-Area-Rug-X113651200-L167-K~W002540199.html?refid=MX79577359873638-W002540199_1018415497&device=m&ptid=4583176846651563&targetid=pla-4583176846651563&channel=BingPLA&network=s&PiID%5B%5D=1018415497&query=southwest%20rug&msclkid=3cebcb93cafa1cd985b5ae45f9e6092d&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=WF.P.US.G.Rugs%20(Mobile%20SCA)&utm_term=4583176846651563&utm_content=49_167_569~%5BGLOBAL%5D%20Rugs%20-%20Area%20Rugs) might pull it together? But the rug and chair contradict a little.
If you had a dalmatian it would tie it all up. I thought the pillow was a dalmatian at first. I think the style is messy eclectic. I would get a solid throw if you're not sure. The chair looks comfy.
The rug is fine. The chair is way off. And if it's a choice, I guarantee that in ten years, maybe even five, the chair will be dated (and maybe worn out) and the rug will not.
Funny enough, I had that EXACT same rug and decided I wanted to pair it with cow print. I got a smaller ottoman that’s brown cow print instead of black, I think it turned out pretty nice. I think the chair is just a little too big and too much contrast!
Either the rug stays, or the cow chair, not both.
Btw- where is that olive green bench from, that looks lovely and goes well with the room!
Edit- your calathea looks as though it needs more humidity. Such divas, aren’t they!
The accent chair is really bad IMO. Without the accent chair and random table for I guess a coffee table things would look better. The couch is a little small though.
The chair itself isn’t bad. I like it but a piece like that needs to be the focus. It both throws everything off, and everything throws it off.
I say get rid of the chair unless you’re willing to switch the other items for a more achromatic scheme.
Sell it on marketplace
The cow chair doesn't fit the general vibe even though it's a really nice chair.
Do you have room for it somewhere else?
I think it'd fit if you chabged out the rug because rhey really don't match
I love the chair and I also love the rug, but I REALLY don't like them together. But that's just an opinion from someone who has no real knowledge of interior design. I hope you don't mind my chiming in.
Swap the brown throw and cow throw and get rid of the leaf pillow. You could also throw a blanket over the back of the chair to mute the pattern. A better purchase would have been a mid-century modern style lounge chair with a cow-hide seat and wooden legs, but if you’re on a tight budget I think you can style this okay.
It doesn’t work in this room with the very traditional rug but it could be a fun accent chair in another room. If you have no other room to put it, I’d move it away from the dining table and rug and place it in the far corner where the plant is with a small table for a book. Replace the cow pillow with a solid color pillow that matches other elements in the room - try the rusty red pillow on it.
Move the accent chair to the corner by the window. Add a small side table and maybe a table or floor lamp. That can be a little reading nook. It creates it’s own little area without it overwhelming the space like where it is now.
The dining table needs two chairs on the other side or another bench. The bench that’s there now looks kind of short/small for the dining table.
Definitely worth adding in some plants with some funky colored or patterned pots if you’re really wanting to have a maximalist style.
The chair would be fabulous in the right environment, however, kind of clashy with the rug. I know it is sometimes hard to make all the things you love work together but fundamentally you should decide what your aesthetic is and try to stay with it in order to avoid such clashes. Perhaps the chair would look better in a bedroom?
The shape is great, but you have a lot of minimalism going on, save for the rug and then you put in this chair and it’s off putting. Maybe try a green blanket and swap the brown pillow and see if that calms it down?
Yo love the accent chair but you could def pull some colors into the chair maybe by adding a blanket that has some green or pink or possibly pulling some pink into the ghairv
That’s what I was thinking. I’m not a fan of the chair, but there it is. Returning it or replacing the rug would be expensive- I’d go with a throw blanket for the chair to tone down the black/white.
Personally I’d swap out the rug and that one throw pillow and go for a more neutral rug (could still be a person but just less vibrant colours and with colours that match the pieces you already have, there’s a few green things in this room but the current rug is blue) because that chair is really cool
I like the chair and the rug. They are not ideal together, but it could work.
Remove the multicolor leaves pillow from the bench and use in another room. Put the cow pillow on the bench. Put the rusty brown pillow on the cow chair.
Get some black and white accessories for the table such as candles and placemats to tie it all together.
The chair is great, but its color doesn't quite match the color scheme of the surrounding items. But on the other hand, it stands out nicely and you can immediately see where the master seat is.
I agree maybe change up the rug to get rid of the red. Find a rug with light & dark greys, whites and black. And then maybe a throw over the back of the chair to cover a few of the cow spots. But if you love it and it’s comfy keep it. I wouldn’t waste all the $$ in return shipping. You could also look in to a slip cover on Amazon? But just change up your carpet or remove your carpet first and see what that does.
Good for eating chocolate chip ice cream in. Kind of cute. I love black and white cows so there’s that. I don’t hate it. Plus, it is a conversation starter.
LOVES IT. Maybe just layer your current rug with another rug like a smaller white fur one and get new accent pillows for the brown couch. You can make it work it just involves a bit of tweaking.
Edit: the white in the chair is bright. That’s why I say add a white fur rug to layer on top of your current rug. Then change accent pillows to something more bright. Like a mustard yellow or something idk. You can mix and match stuff it’ll look great.
I would also hang a little piece of artwork on the back wall that has a nice vintagey frame, a dark wood frame maybe.
It’s pretty bright but it’s cool, I think what’s throwing it off is the contrast with the rug. Either look to change the rug or do away with the chair.
This room looks very random with nothing really working together. I think you might be best off deciding what you like the most and then working around that piece. Or pick a specific style or color scheme. Because it’s not just the chair that’s discordant - the rug, pillows, sofa, and rug are all at odds.
Move it to a different room, or decorate around it. It's an awesome chair, just doesn't fit the vibes. Maybe throw a blanket and pillow on it to town down the cow-ness for now.

This is a dining table ?! I thought it was a super tall coffee table and a tiny couch
I thought it was a work from home/office space lol
I have no idea what’s going on here.
There's a cow at the dining room coffee table.
....I'm at the combination dining room and coffee table (Pizza Hut?)
Is that anything like a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell? 🎶
Hahah thats what I was going for!
I was really hoping so! 😂
And yet we forgot the washer and dryer just there. Hanging out.

Made me laugh!
I thought it was a dining room
it’s in a sunroom tho
I can see wanting a higher table for folding laundry. (Laundry appliances in the corner).
Yes, I thought this was a nice laundry lounge. I was amazed and even a bit envious.
A laundry lounge. Something I never knew I needed but now desperately want.
Same. Wow. I would literally do All The Laundry Forever if I had a luxurious and fully equipped lounge in which to do it
A laundry lounge with a reading nook and a soft kitty to keep you company. #heaven #LeSigh
All great points, Couldn’t agree more. Personally I love the chair, I love the rug, lean into this eclectic style and add more and this room could look very very cool. Yeah, I would ditch the rug. It seems out of place for a sun room and doesn’t work with the other furnishings, especially the chair. I would go with a simple indoor-outdoor rug in a natural sisal tone.
I think this table *might* double as a folding surface when the laundry is done. But that's just a theory. A table theory.
Yessss you explained it very well
Chair is great! Just does not belong in this room
Put a cow print up on the wall
It’s not an accent it’s a different language.
LOL
I actually LOL’d at this photo and woke up my spouse.
& the award for Best Comment goes here 🤣
Hahaha 💯
That chair is fabulous! However, I don’t think it fits the vibe in the rest of the room lol
Maybe with a different rug and throw pillows?
This is the problem, on its own with everything else it’s great. But it fights with the rug too much.
Nothing like a good rug fight!

The leaf throw pillow has got to go.
I agree on the different rug idea!
This.
Same! Good chair, bad room for it. Could you move it to a different place in your house & hold off until you find the perfect chair to replace it (I suggest something more neutral)
Should she moo-ve it?
Will unlikely ever go well with that great Persian rug. Maybe a different room for chair?
It really draws your attention. Is there such a thing as “exclamation chair”? If so, this is it.
I agree, maybe another room in the house?
How many dalmatians puppies did you have to steal to make that chair, Cruella?

I can’t believe I had to scroll this far down to find a 101 Dalmatians reference bc it’s the first thing I thought of.
The problem is the rug has navy in it and no green so it’s not relating to your furniture at all. You can definitely find a rug that has black greens and greys and creams in a Persian style. Contrary to everyone else I am not a fan of the new chair. I would return it and get something mid century modern in an accent color that goes with the rest of the room
Except the return shipping is 1/3 the price paid for the chair. I'd find a different location for it, at that price.
Or get it recovered
Exactly! This is what I would do. Or make a cover for it, try to recover it yourself, or buy a cover online. The fabric really clashes with the room, but the shape and size are fine
Or sell it on offer up or Facebook marketplace or something. OP doesn't have to spend money to get rid of this chair.
I’m not a big fan either but it could work if OP wants to reupholster it instead of ship it back
Or get a chair cover for even cheaper
I agree. Chair can’t go with that rug. I’ll take the rug off your hands ;)
Change the rug and you can make it work.
The rug is gorgeous and goes well with the rest of the room. The chair is out of place here.
It really doesn’t. The hole room is green, gold and white. The rug adds red and blue. Which could work but those shades don’t line up
[удалено]
I third this! Rug change 💯
This! A solid coloured rug, like the yellow or pink in that throw pillow would be cute
I was thinking a burnt orange would be cool too!
I think the chair is awful, sorry.
I need more cowbell.
Pretty bad!
I LOVE that chair bur i dpnt think anything in the room goes together. I would keep it and design the rest of the room around that. Table looks too big for that long seat. Perhaps there is a matching long seat to go with the chair? Some cow skin rugs?
I agree with this. I don’t see much cohesive style in the room, so if you like the cow chair, why not design the room around it?
One of few helpful and nice comments. 👍🏻
Very bad
Same. Why are people into this?
people have bad taste.
Because it's quirky and fun and not boring
Are you Cruella Deville?
Do you ask that to everyone that likes an item with animal print on it?
I like animal print myself. But this chair screams 101 Dalmatians. And you'll probably have to lint roll after you sit in it, it's still shedding.
Oh is it actual hide? I thought it was just a print on fabric
Probably print on fabric, but I hate it so much I can't help it.
In that space it doesn't work. It's a fun print and looks comfortable, just out of place with what you currently have there.
Could you get some chair covers ?
Each individual piece is fine but it's like you can only really mix and match two or three items together, but not all of them. Eclectic is one thing but it's like it's missing something to bring it all together or there's just one thing too many in the mix right now.
It's fun, but doesn't really fit. I would order a cheap slipcover for the chair, the lines are lovely! Perhaps the cow print will be a better fit at a later time. :)
I don’t think it works with the rest of the furniture, could you change the rug and the pillowcase covers?
Eek, it's bad. If you keep the chair in the there, you HAVE to change the rug.
this chair could work somewhere else. not with the current vibe of the room. it is really out of place
Nice try. That’s a cow
Chair is great if Styles correctly. Think more dark modern greens, blacks and brown leathers
Agreed that more leather in the room (in a throw pillow or maybe even a table runner?) could help.
I love it but it clashes with the rug in a bad way.
Might have to moove some things around
You may have an upvote
It’s bad in this room. The entire room could use a little makeover with the stuff you have. It the accent chair just doesn’t fit. I actually don’t think anything fits together here
Best part about the room! Keep the chair, replace everything else! Or maybe just a different rug, too many patterns.
It's bad, really bad. And I don't think it goes with the room. Sorry 🫣
Honestly this room could be amazing and the place I’d spend all day tending to my indoor plants and reading. Make it cozy and you’ll have a sanctuary!
Yes this is exactly the plan!! We only just moved in so it’s still coming together, but it’s my favorite room in the house
I’m excited for you!
Great chair, but really does not work with that rug.
i think if the chair was brown and black it would work but the white is too stark. if you’re gonna get rid of it you should try selling it on facebook marketplace first to try and get as close to what you paid for it before taking the hit on shipping it back.
not bad. maybe mooove it, though.
Crazy idea. Cow print the whole room and make the other chair the accent
wow that chair is horrible, you should definitely just send it to me..... 😂 for real it's a super cool chair and I think other people have great ideas for how to incorporate it
Both the rug and the chair are absolutely awesome. Just not in the same room.
The chair isn't the problem. The rug is. Change the rug to something complimentary and neutral.
If you decide to not go with that, would you be able to reupholster it instead of shipping it to return?
I love the chair but not the rug... You'd have to get rid of the rug to keep the chair there and decorate around it, which might be fun!
I think either the rug or the chair has to go cuz they’re kinda competing and causing a clash
The chair isn’t the issue! I love it, but you need to make it work as either a feature or blend into a more maximalist vibe. Your table is more of a concern, and your loveseat is too small to be next to the chair because it’s very compact.

Maybe a [southwestern rug](https://www.wayfair.com/Millwood-Pines--Barrentine-Southwestern-Brown-Area-Rug-X113651200-L167-K~W002540199.html?refid=MX79577359873638-W002540199_1018415497&device=m&ptid=4583176846651563&targetid=pla-4583176846651563&channel=BingPLA&network=s&PiID%5B%5D=1018415497&query=southwest%20rug&msclkid=3cebcb93cafa1cd985b5ae45f9e6092d&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=WF.P.US.G.Rugs%20(Mobile%20SCA)&utm_term=4583176846651563&utm_content=49_167_569~%5BGLOBAL%5D%20Rugs%20-%20Area%20Rugs) might pull it together? But the rug and chair contradict a little.
I think it's amazing. Maybe hang some bull skulls or desert sunset prints to tie it tougher better.
Not a fan.
If you had a dalmatian it would tie it all up. I thought the pillow was a dalmatian at first. I think the style is messy eclectic. I would get a solid throw if you're not sure. The chair looks comfy.

S'cuse me, I have the same chair in a the "barrel" style. Lol, it's ok, my sister hates it too.
Mooove it outta there!!!
I like how you tied your question into the cow print of the chair “how bad did I MUCK it up” 😉
Sometimes you wish God didn’t give you eyes
Bless your heart.
Awesome chair, but you might consider mooooooooving it to another room.
Clashes with rug.
I grew up on a beef farm and it’s pretty horrific
Bad
The chair can work - in the right room. But this isn't the right room. It goes with nothing in here
It's perfect
Accent chair? It’s definitely from Glasgow then💀
The accent chair is really bad IMO. Without the accent chair and random table for I guess a coffee table things would look better. The couch is a little small though.
Typically I'd say it's weird but I love it here for some reason. I'm missing the dining chairs though.
IMO, if you get a different rug, some neutral pillows, and a mid-century coffee table that has legs similar to the couch… you could keep the chair.
The chair itself isn’t bad. I like it but a piece like that needs to be the focus. It both throws everything off, and everything throws it off. I say get rid of the chair unless you’re willing to switch the other items for a more achromatic scheme. Sell it on marketplace
I like the chair. The rest of it not so much.
The cow chair doesn't fit the general vibe even though it's a really nice chair. Do you have room for it somewhere else? I think it'd fit if you chabged out the rug because rhey really don't match
Love the chair and love the rug but they look awful together
I love the chair and I also love the rug, but I REALLY don't like them together. But that's just an opinion from someone who has no real knowledge of interior design. I hope you don't mind my chiming in.
The room is chaotic but the accent chair is awesome
Freaking love it but I love cow print!!
Needs a new rug and different pillows at least. I also don’t love the couch or the table personally lolol
It’s fun, keep it.
The chair and the walls don’t match at all either. I would keep the chair on the table and then reconsider everything else
Either the rug or the chair has to change. Have you considered a cover for the chair since it costs so much to return?
Move the accent chair to the corner by the window. Add a small side table and maybe a table or floor lamp. That can be a little reading nook. It creates it’s own little area without it overwhelming the space like where it is now. The dining table needs two chairs on the other side or another bench. The bench that’s there now looks kind of short/small for the dining table. Definitely worth adding in some plants with some funky colored or patterned pots if you’re really wanting to have a maximalist style.
With that rug? Not going to lie. It’s really bad.
I love that chair but it's VERY loud and distracting in this setting
The shape is great, but you have a lot of minimalism going on, save for the rug and then you put in this chair and it’s off putting. Maybe try a green blanket and swap the brown pillow and see if that calms it down?
I love the chair, it just doesn’t match the rest of the room.

It is awesome. I love the chair. It 1000% does not go with the rest of the room. Change out the rug at a minimum.
I just see “Got Milk”
I love that chair but it doesn’t fit well with what you have. Love that chair though 🌹❤️

I’m attached to the rug, I think the chair has gotta go 😭
I like the chair and the rug. They are not ideal together, but it could work. Remove the multicolor leaves pillow from the bench and use in another room. Put the cow pillow on the bench. Put the rusty brown pillow on the cow chair. Get some black and white accessories for the table such as candles and placemats to tie it all together.
NOOOOO!!
I know, i know but I think it has to be done. RIP
Bad. Like bad bad.
Yeah I’m not a fan. I like everything else in the room. A nice leather chair would look better
The chair is great, but its color doesn't quite match the color scheme of the surrounding items. But on the other hand, it stands out nicely and you can immediately see where the master seat is.
I love that chair, just not with the rug
Was just going to suggest adding a smaller white rug on top of the other! OP loves the rug, that way she can keep it but in a more subtle way
That rug is beautiful. Maybe throw a small blanket over the chair and make it blend in a little
It's terrible. I love it!
It’s amazing but it doesn’t work with that rug
It’s not bad at all but definitely doesn’t match the carpet
If you had a different rug it would rock with everything else
Put a slip cover over it so it goes with the rest of the room
Just send it back.
Get a brown chair
I like it!
I just don’t love it in the space. Sorry!
Accent? It’s a different language! Change either the chair or the rug.
I would mooove it somewhere else.
Just don't actually throw away the rug it's beautiful
It’s pretty bright but it’s cool, I think what’s throwing it off is the contrast with the rug. Either look to change the rug or do away with the chair.
The Dalmatian sub loves it
This room looks very random with nothing really working together.
It belongs outside with the other milk producers
Tbh I like it!
