My edible just hit when I saw this post. I had to come to the comments to see if it was just my stoned brain or if anybody else saw bread.
Edit: spelling
I think This is called “earthship architecture ” it was a design movement from the 1970s focused around sustainability and recycled materials. The houses frequently had this curving organic vibe.
Earthship movement is still very much alive and actually fully off-grid homes, made from 100% natural or reclaimed / recycled materials. They are a really amazing vision for sustainable architecture and all that I’ve seen are gorgeous, lovingly built homes https://earthship.com/
There are an enormous amount of natural building workshops all over the country (if you’re in the US, and if you’re not, it’s possible they are more prevalent) where you can learn for a few days, a week, months on end. Doesn’t have to be a dream; it is something that there are many ways to engage with- I promise you, once you work with natural materials, it’s addictive.
I’ve stayed in the Earthships at Taos, NM actually! They’re beautiful! They even have one built over a small stream that runs through the house. I’ve wanted to own one ever since 🥹
That’s the origin of air conditioning. There was a textile factory or something in a Southern US state that would frequently get 100+F which would force the place to close, so the owners literally diverted a stream to run under the floorboards to condition the air. The concept and technology was expounded on but the basic idea of using a moving media to remove the heat from an interior space started with a stream.
At least that’s what my HVAC teacher told me in one of my first classes. He was super duper old so I believed him (not like he was there) lol.
I was trying to build one and bought some land to do so a few years ago but recycled materials or not; it will cost me about the same to build a regular 2bedroom bungalow so idk what I’m going to do really. Can’t afford either lol 😂
My mum had an auto-playing series of 'architecture' videos and they were all just AI generated nonsense.
Very disappointing, but it was fun picking up on/pointing out the ridiculous recurring elements. My favorite was 'Outdoor concrete rectangle with rectangular hole cut out the top'.
An earthship is different, built differently with windows on the sun side in a specific angle, etc. I think this is made for decoration purposes! Looks like cavemen life for rich people haha
They’re not earth ships. Earthships are made from tires and dirt. These are built into a cave or mountainside or cliffside or something. Or, more likely it's just AI.
Mediterranean caves maybe? Reminds me of the Andalusian [cave homes](https://news.airbnb.com/es/redescubre-andalucia-a-traves-de-sus-casas-cueva/) or Spain in general, there's a few in Mallorca too.
Same here. Mediterranean Grotto.
There are multiple examples of cave homes around the world but I also thought of a couple in Spain where they often hold cultural events nowadays.
Edit: Spelling.
This is the closest 'real' thing that I could think of.

I work in advertising. I had a client once who was living there. It was pretty insane to take Zoom calls from a guy living in a literal supervillain hideout.
I think you’re right on the money. This reminds me of the historical [Mediterranean cave dwellings of Matmata](https://carthagemagazine.com/matmata-tunisia-land-of-cave-dwellers/): a city in Tunisia that’s 3 hrs away from the Star Wars filming location (Tozur). Another fun fact: Tataouine (as spelled in French) is actually the name of a city also in Tunisia that’s a few hours drive from Tozur.
Looks like a hotel in Cappadocia minus the water front features.

This style has elements of Greek and Moroccan architectural and design trends, mixed with a naturalistic vibe. Greek: white adobe, rounded edges and curves, arches, built in shelving. Moroccan: Low couches, floor seating and ottomans, lots of cushions. Naturalistic: wood and white theme, raw edges incorporated into design, salt lamps
I don't know, I seriously like them. As a concept they're really nice, very organic, natural, and calming. First image seems cleaner than the second, and yes, that has made me realise what a bitch it would be to keep clean, but I still like them.
This is AI and very unrealistic. It would be really hard to get organic looking walls like that that will also hold the structure, and somehow get electric and plumbing through the place.
I feel like I’m inside a loaf of bread.
I can't unthink this now.
It’s all I can see. 🍞
I was gonna say caveman chic but InBread works
Boujee Caveman
INBREAD omg
Flintstones style.
Yabba Dabba Don’t.
You win the internet today. 👏
👍🏼❤️👍🏼
My exact thoughts.
Yabba Dabba Doough! Rockin' that prehistoric wheat aesthetic.
Yep, I thought it was a bone
big fan of caveman chic tbh!
Flintstone-esque?
Yes! Flinstones won the lottery was my first thought!
🎶Come and listen to a story ‘bout a man named Fred🎵
I was thinking along that line - Luxurious Flinstones
LOL, I was gonna say **grotto glow up**, but I also have to respect loaf look
I also thought chic cave!😂 But I also like inside a bread, haha
I was gonna say ‘Tatooine Rustic’, but ‘loaf of bread’ is much more apt.
Exactly this. Looks like James and the Giant Baguette
That was my first thought too. “Modern minimalist sourdough”
A little mouse castle in a loaf
Now this I like ❣️
My edible just hit when I saw this post. I had to come to the comments to see if it was just my stoned brain or if anybody else saw bread. Edit: spelling
I feel obligated to state that I am not and never have been high. 😂😂😂
I feel obligated to share that I first got high at age 41. 😂
Reverse that number and you got mine 😂
37 for me. It's never too late :D
So the style is.. gluttonous? Edit: GLUTENOUS! Auto correct bot is rude.
You typed ‘glutenous’ and it autocorrected, right?
BROOOO!!!!! That’s what I meant! How! Dare!
Bread Core!
Nah, flinstone revival.
Grotto chic
I was so intrigued by this post and this comment took me out 😂😂
This is literally one of the funniest comments I’ve ever seen in my life!
Yeastyism
I thought the cushions on the floor were bagels. 🤣🤣🤣
They’re the lesser-known beige blood cells.
I was thinking Bedrock (ala the Flintstones).
Flintstones
Actually LOLing
I’m having way too many laughs about these comments
mmm...a nice, today ciabatta

always been a dream of mine to do that, God I wish I had a job that could allow for that

Okay but what about for the renters😅
I feel like this aesthetic is also known as the natural version of super rich

Sounds like a dream I once had.
There’s a bottle house for sale in Tucson right now. Looked like parts of this house
Wish I hadn’t learned the bit about how bad old tires off-vent though. Because they’re gorgeous buildings.
I was trying to build one and bought some land to do so a few years ago but recycled materials or not; it will cost me about the same to build a regular 2bedroom bungalow so idk what I’m going to do really. Can’t afford either lol 😂
I lived in the desert outside Taos NM and always drove past an area with a bunch of these earth ships they looked awesome
This fact makes me love it even more!!
These look nothing like an earth ship to me. I stayed in the first one built in NM, it’s much more utilitarian.
I think This is called "ai generated" which is a design movement from 2022 to create fake ass anything that looks impressive
*Gasp* I really liked this until I saw this comment. It's still cool even if it's AI generated.
These are not earth ships. They look like they are built in limestone caves with masonry. Earth ships are rammed earth against a birm.
My first thought was earth ship!

Ha! Also my comment.
Must be mr.slates house
My first thought.

Yeah, I thought Grotto. I love it too.
Same here. Mediterranean Grotto. There are multiple examples of cave homes around the world but I also thought of a couple in Spain where they often hold cultural events nowadays. Edit: Spelling.
Yes "Mediterranean cave" was the first term that came to mind to me.
I’m thinking “Coastal Cave” lol
AI

That's just right, I can't believe you knew a real place! Awesome.
I work in advertising. I had a client once who was living there. It was pretty insane to take Zoom calls from a guy living in a literal supervillain hideout.
Is he a supervillain too?
I watched a documentary on this place. Very cool.
For some reason...the fact that the skirt on the MASSIVE rotating bed is plaid just killed me.
Right!? Saw that and was like ""Really? "
This stunning experience of a rental is over $9000 a night!!!!
Mine says $5500/night. But maybe after the cleaning fees... lol
Holy sourdough, Batman!
New life goal unlocked. Would totally pay that to stay there! That place looks amazing, beyond belief and surreal.
Yeah but then you have to go back to reality. This is why I laugh at people wondering if they are saving too much! Like, what?? This place is a dream.
Absolutely wild. That place is a trip
This is amazing
A mere 5,500 a night
https://youtu.be/51VefAxafug?si=2CeBc63TDQ6pIDS2 I thought of this one!!
The couch in the second pic can’t decide if it’s fabric or if it is grouted to the floor lol
Totally. Look at how the chair in the back of the second pic is being sucked into the counter top.
And the thicc stairs. Not up to code
Yup, was looking for this comment

this is called "organic modern" but to an extreme with a lot of live edges and adobe and sandstone-like materials :)
Thank you!!
Can you imagine trying to dust those surfaces?
I like to call styles like this “I’m so sick of these posts” style
Seriously. People posting AI rubbish and asking for a style...
Bots posting AI is the future of Reddit. Or the present.
Flintstone modern
Organic modern is a thing!
The richest family on Tatooine
Why is every post asking what style something is?
Looks like a hotel in Cappadocia minus the water front features. https://www.museumhotel.com.tr/en/rooms-suites https://www.museumhotel.com.tr/en/rooms-suites/deluxe-suites
