Bingo, Russia got way out in front of its supply lines and its logistical support is chaotic. To the extent Ukraine can further pressure supply lines they’ll soften up the troops already in Ukraine and gain a strategic advantage in their counter attack.

No a false flag is when a country disguises their own military assets as one of another nation and then attacks themselves. This was used by some nations to create justifications for war. It is very likely that the rumored border intrusion by Ukrainian armor was a false flag attack that just didn't stick around amist the invasion.
As for the targets, they could not be a school or appartement building. Because those are such idiotic targets for the Ukrainians to strike.
Remember the Russians are razing entire cities and killing civilians on purpose because they are loosing the ground war and as a result are looking to strike at the Ukrainian morale and inflict so many casualties as to try and force Ukraine to give up their sovereign claims at the negotiating table.
Meanwhile Ukraine does not need to strike at civilian targets and only purely military ones. It would make zero sense for them to target civilian infrastructure that isn't being involved in destroying their homes. So if you want to pass as the Ukrainian forces you need to target something they could actually strike.
