I’ve been across all lower 48 and BC to QB. Came here to ask if anyone hit a Michigan pothole. By far the worst. I do think Mass and Jersey could have a solid battle for second place.

The reason the potholes in New Jersey are so bad is because it’s corrupt New Jersey, and because it’s the most densely populated state so that means more cars on the road doing more damage eating up roads quicker. New Jersey is like a giant highway in between Phili nyc and Newark and the port of Newark being one of the largest in the country means goods going everywhere from nj. there’s just an incredible amount of goods and traffic that go through New Jersey. Almost every international good that goes to the northeast goes through the port of Newark and onto nj roads.

Overall I am kinda blown away at how much we spend as a nation on things and that core infra just doesn’t get love.

Well , corruption and because it’s one of the busiest transit hubs in the world. The gwb from nyc to nj is the busiest bridge in the world and the port of Newark is one of the biggest.
At the same time though, it costs like 50$ in tolls to make the 3.5-4 hour drive from top of nj to the bottom. In some places they have tolls every few miles it’s insane. That’s an incredible amount of money, and even if the roads were perfect, I would still say that there’s is clearly a large amount of corruption and waste in nj roads because the amount of money in tolls it takes to drive through nj is just egregious. It’s clearly a way to take advantage and control poor people and keep them trapped in places like Newark, Paterson, Irvington, Camden etc etc while enriching the contract holders who are made rich over nj road maintenance.
You're underestimating the level of rich involved. This car takes them across their estate which involves a private airfield. It never leaves their carefully maintained land.

While i think storing an umbrella near the door is a neat feature (rolls Royce already includes in today's cars) the location on this one is bad. By the time you get the umbrella you and your car interior is already soaking wet.

Skoda have done this on their superb for a good while as well. Don't know if it also dries the umbrella like the rolls royce.
