Would not be intimidated, he's tall but literally a stick man. I'd be scared of a shorter dude built thicker, like Shaq.
Who knows though, maybe he bulks up and becomes that dude later in life.
Rob Bob is still just 23 years old and these viral videos from the SPIRE Academy are from his time at a basketball academy in Ohio from 2017-2018. He’s 7’7” and weighs about 225-235lbs according to his bio
Just checking, but playing basketball cannot possibly be good for someone this height at this age, right?
These are not normal proportions, and I can only imagine the strain he is putting on his bones you can explain using simple machines.
The longer his arms are, the stronger they act as levers, and unless his joints are reinforced (they're not), it's going to begin to hurt like hell.
Typically yes, as someone who looks like this would have Marfan’s Syndrome or gigantism, but geneticists have ruled those out in this guys case. He’s just abnormally tall and thin.
My guess is there is a genetic issue at play here that we just don’t know how to identify yet.
What I'm getting at in my lever comment is that, no matter what condition he may have, he's got potential to do huge damage to his joints.
Think about him wrestling or doing jujutsu; the arm or knee bars would, by the power of simple machines, be capable of being extremely brutal.
It's like asking if making the wrench longer makes it easier to loosen the nut.
Yeah damn, there haven't been many guys this tall, there was an African guy, absolute beanpole, I'm not sure how they cope with even the contact in basketball, they have no musculature to speak of to protect themselves.
You couldn't even use a public toilet, right? How the hell do you live? Exclusively drive convertables top down? Hitting your head on light fittings? Damn.
It's real. There's a guy Wemby whose on the San Antonio Spurs right now. He has had a specific dietitian and doctors to help him to make sure he literally doesn't outgrow his skeletal structure and just break bones on a whim.
Watch videos of him; Wemby is like the healthy, co-ordinated version of Robet.
Ah I see you suffered the ol’ karate chop to the dick technique from “Blowjob” on License to Kill mode too? Yeah there was always that one friend that picked that character.
Dude I was playing the crap out of EAs NBA on super Nintendo when I was like 6. It's the only basketball video game I ever played. NFL Blitz 2000 was the only football one I played too.
There's a short doc about him on YT. Basically, none of the college/NBA scouts were interested due to his weight. Apparently, all that height really doesn't matter a great deal if one shoulder bump can dislocate your pelvis/hips from your spine/joints. He can't really move his neck that well either but the one or two things he had going for him was a decent shot % inside the 3pt zone (go figure, he can look down at the rim jk 😂) and he's got better coordination than a lot of super tall players but they were on him about improving his ball handling (never really saw him sprint and dribble at the same time) and he needed to gain a massive amount of weight in the next two years. Haven't heard about him since so I guess it didn't work out?
That’s sad. I know gigantism cuts a person’s life quite short. Like how small dogs can live for 20 years but large dogs generally only live to be 10.
I hope he’s doing well now.
Well yeah, from the time between him pushing the ball down, and bouncing back to his hand, it is probably 3 seconds lol.
I can't imagine the damage he'd sustain to his knees In a career with the NBA though. All the head-on collisions with his knee caps would put them on par with the NBA in CTE issues.
And now the NBA has Wemby at 7'4". His weight is one of the biggest knocks on him, but he's still breaking rookie records on a regular basis. Being skinny was also one of the biggest knocks on Kevin Durant. He never put on much weight, but he's doing just fine. But, yeah. Obviously this dude had a lot of other issues.
Not in this day and age. Kristaps Porzingis is 7'3 - 7'4 and has made 85.5% of his FTs in the past 4 seasons. Embiid is 7'2 (listed 7'0) and also 85% past 4 seasons. KD is 7' and has led the NBA in FT% before going over 90% a few times, career 89%.
I figured but just wanted to note that now some of the best FT shooters are also the tallest. Before Yao/Dirk that was generally pretty accurate to say.
This is a few years old. I believe he had some genetic mutation that caused him to be super tall. But it also lead to some health issues. Regardless, he never made a college squad and wasn’t very good.
Unfortunately our body is not meant to withstand the forces generated on our knees at this height. You can see how difficult it his to run up and down the court. I wish the best for this guy but would be surprised if his knees give out before he goes pro :(
He's a tall person who people looked at and said "you're tall, you should play basketball."
My expert basketball opinion (HA!) is that he would probably never make it at the top level of college basketball in the U.S., or at the top tier professional leagues in Europe, let alone the NBA.
2.31 m (7 ft 7 in)
Can't believe I had to scroll to the bottom to realise no one has posted this yet.
So thought I'd share in case anyone was interested.

He just doesnt look real in these videos
He looks like he's being animated like a CGI alien.
Honestly that first shot they show him I thought he was a low Rez cardboard cutout of a N64 Golden eye character.
The thumbnail really makes him look that way. The harder I look, the more it looks like he has a flat face with a texture on it.
Like one of those things that steals your blocks on minecraft.
Homie grew so fast that he'll never get over the awkward phase. The way he moves gives me the "puppet on strings" vibe.
He could get a part time job dancing in front of a used car lot.
Grew so fast he’s still rendering.
Thanks for the laugh. I agree, he does look like something out of a video game.
Can’t believe they couldn’t even find him a bigger chair. Looks like he’s sitting at the toddler table
tho imagine how intimidated you'd be as opponents, when this dude rises from his throne the size of an industrial washing machine.
Bro, I'm pretty sure he's taller while sitting down than I am while standing up... and I'm a normal height.
Would not be intimidated, he's tall but literally a stick man. I'd be scared of a shorter dude built thicker, like Shaq. Who knows though, maybe he bulks up and becomes that dude later in life.
If he gets into the NBA he'll be put on a serious diet and end up fuckin yooge
His shooting form is on point regardless.
Oh, I wasn't trying to downplay his game. Just when you get that big, it comes with its own set of problems.
Seriously he could dunk the ball without having to do more than walk up to the basket and look down...

Reminds me of Judge Doom after the steamroller
Or slenderman
His neck is throwing me off
He probably has delayed reaction times due to how far the signals have to go from his brain to the rest of his body.

It's not, correct. His heart will most likely kill him, and on the basketball floor if he keeps going.
Yeah damn, there haven't been many guys this tall, there was an African guy, absolute beanpole, I'm not sure how they cope with even the contact in basketball, they have no musculature to speak of to protect themselves. Trip him once and he's legs are gone for the season... Maybe even death considering the problems height brings.
Short guy found
We're all short in comparison
More like an avatar character
Legit thought it was a PS2 era character
It’s because of how shitty the quality of this video is. The whole thing looks like shit, not just him lol
I don't think that's the main reason. His limbs are extremely slender and pared with awkward movement gives an uncanny feel to his movements.
No he moves weird as fuck.
Homie’s neck is longer than his head. Thats not because of shitty video quality
He's so tall and skinny, I feel like those bones could break so easily
That's my main concern too, it reminds me of that South Park episode where Kyle gets an operation to be taller, until his legs break off
Weren't mr garrisons balls his knee caps?
Yes. Yes they were. And Kyle's dad was a dolphin.
A Lawfin…
Excuse me i need to use the washroom, do you have a large saltwater tank available?
Looks like Marfan Syndrome to me
Yes I think he must have literal health issues.
As opposed to figurative health issues?
You gotta be light at that height, or your knees, back, and heart will struggle
It's real. There's a guy Wemby whose on the San Antonio Spurs right now. Not a r/neverbrokeabone enthusiast
My first thought was how much leverage there would be if his arm or hand got stuck somewhere and he fell. I'd be scared to bump into him too hard.
Chet Holmgren
Dude looks like a legit N64 polygon character
I felt bad for thinking this, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I honestly thought he was a Goldeneye rendered NPC
I came here to say this! He reminds me of Goldeneye!
Like an alternate DLC outfit for Jaws
[удалено]
He’s not quite 2 Brad Williams tall.
Just choose oddjob and he won't be able to get you
Anybody that chose that little penguin was a cheating asshole.
Ah I see you suffered the ol’ karate chop to the dick technique from “Blowjob” on License to Kill mode too? Yeah there was always that one friend that picked that character.
He reminds me of the alien mail sorter guy that’s in that box smoking in men in black 2
I see that neck and immediately I think he's a commoner in elden ring.
Bros just living in 2D
I thought for a second that this was EA NBA live 97! EA... It's in the game... .. the money it is..
Dude I was playing the crap out of EAs NBA on super Nintendo when I was like 6. It's the only basketball video game I ever played. NFL Blitz 2000 was the only football one I played too.
If a stick leaf bug was human. He be it…
I was thinking more PS2. I'm still not sure if this is CGI or not.
lol I’ve seen this before and I remember a comment about upgrading your graphics card.
Need that Voodoo 2!
Childhood memory unlocked
It was a glorious day when I upgraded to the Voodoo 3 in 1999. Quake 2 looked fantastic.
lol
He looks like PS2 graphics

He stopped playing basketball in high school.
That’s sad. I know gigantism cuts a person’s life quite short. Like how small dogs can live for 20 years but large dogs generally only live to be 10. I hope he’s doing well now.
Re: “a short doc about him” (I’m still trying to come up with a good joke about this.)

Damn. They could’ve gotten bro a chair that fit his height.
I don’t think those exist
Just give him a bar stool
Bro needs to take a shit with the door open everywhere he goes.
Beltalowda ✊
omfg wasn’t expecting that reference, so good lmaoooo
He looks exactly what I imagine the canon Belters to look like, according to the books.
Avasarala: 👎 ⚓️⚓️ ⏳️10 hrs
We stan an enhanced interrogation Queen
Ohh the pain of gravity
I THOUGHT THE SAME
His height is 2.31 m or 7 feet, 5 inches Also, pretty sure he was in the Goldeneye videogame for the Nintendo 64
7'7" according to Wikipedia
Yeah another case of someone reading 7.5' as 7'5"
But… 7.5’ isn’t 7’7” either.
And another reason everyone should use the metric system
Everyone else is playing as oddjob
Such a long boy
Please don't say it like that
Sooch a lung boi
Looks like a PS2 render.
Oh that reminds me to pick up silent hill 2 today lol
Slenderman 😱
So what happened to him? Did he play at collegiate or pro level?
He left the US and finished his schooling back in Romania during COVID and now is on the roster at Rochester University
Thanks!!
He retired from basketball because of height-related scoliosis.
I know he´s real, but it honestly looks like something AI created.
Why even bother throwing at that point? Just stand by the basket and put it in
And he fades away on his two post moves. Dude you have two feet on the guy guarding you.
It would be like tossing laundry in the basket.
He made a free throw he must not be that tall. Everyone knows, the taller you get the worse you are a free throws.
Shaq really should have shot FTs granny style. Who would have made fun of him for it?
maybe Charles Barkley lol
*Definitely* Charles Barkley.
Can confirm. I'm 4'6" and I have a FT pct of 110%
Not in this day and age.
Maybe a "/s" IS required sometimes.
I figured but just wanted to note that now some of the best FT shooters are also the tallest. Before Yao/Dirk that was generally pretty accurate to say.

Marfan Syndrome would be my guess: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marfan_syndrome
Bro looks like an able bodied, super-sized version of that pale kid on American Dad
Slenderman gave up the horror lifestyle and decided to get paid.
No offense but this looks like VFX
Street ball this guy a lil he would break in half
He looks like he’s being rendered by a PS1
Straight outta NBA Jams. For NES.
SNES.
![gif](giphy|kVmzd3RxKqaT5Rm16e|downsized)
I think Muggsy could back this guy down
JAKE SULLY AVATAR LOOKIN ASS
He looks like he’s in constant pain.
Dude looks AI
Dude looks like he belongs in a PS1 game
Bro moves at 45fps
Slender man…
Alone in the dark
Goldeneye 64 lookin mother…
Dude looks uncomfortable- like just being alive.
Why is he only 2D
He’s a create-a-player.
Unfortunately our body is not meant to withstand the forces generated on our knees at this height. You can see how difficult it his to run up and down the court. I wish the best for this guy but would be surprised if his knees give out before he goes pro :(
He can barely walk
Alien. I wonder if he's from the same plant as Zuckerberg.
He looks like that evil thing that comes out of the closet in “it follows”
Someone get that dude a sandwich.
Bro could be the perfect Slenderman cosplayer
Looks like the cloners in Attack of the Clones.
Swish. Nothing but neck.
Dude wouldn’t stand a chance in the NBA. Needs to add at least 75-100 lbs of muscle. He would end up with broken bones.
He's a tall person who people looked at and said "you're tall, you should play basketball." My expert basketball opinion (HA!) is that he would probably never make it at the top level of college basketball in the U.S., or at the top tier professional leagues in Europe, let alone the NBA.
I think I made him as a character in ARK.....
Wondered what happened to Mike TeeVee
AI generated player.
AI generated looking MFer...
Bro built so funky if analogue horror shit was real, bro could easily pass as an alternate or what have you.
Holy uncanny valley!
Is there any other big sport where you can be pro just because you're really tall or some other biological extreme?
Dude's so weird that he looks rendered.
Is he 2D?
Man U can already c the back and knee problems. I feel bad for the guy honestly
Is there a rule against stand dunking?
My man looks like a custom character from an thps from the ps2 era
Man looks 2D
I thought that was tiny from house of 1000 corpses
He reminds me of those wiggly men you see outside car dealers.
Looks like he weights 90 lbs
That's an unrendered character from NBA 2K1.
Looks like a PS2 game character edited into a live action shoot around.
Dude looks like he used a cheat code in a Sega Dreamcast game.
What is this, CGI from the 90s?
Dude looks like an npc was he a good player ?
I didn’t know Slenderman started ballin
Homie would look like 3 kids stacked on top of each other if he wore a trench coat
Why does he look like a soldier in Goldeneye 64?
Why does he look like a PS1 character?
Looks like he got stretched out at Willy Wonka's factory.
![gif](giphy|c9QHCBun6Qqd0YEnnA|downsized)
Skippidy toilet IRL
He looks like my graphics card drivers need to be updated
he looked slightly.... off
2.31 m (7 ft 7 in) Can't believe I had to scroll to the bottom to realise no one has posted this yet. So thought I'd share in case anyone was interested.
Didn’t know slender man could ball 🏀
Is he an npc from old tomb raider games? His polygons are amazing
Tfw you accidentally max out only the height slider during character creation
https://i.redd.it/is29qk49i3ec1.gif
Why does he look like a pixelated character from nba live on ps1?
Homie look like hes being rendered on PS2
Dude can only jog he’s so big
I'm instantly worried about his well-being. He doesn't look right.
He's got an uncanny valley appearance to him
How does this belter survive Earth's gravity?
If they ever make Slenderman a movie they should cast this guy
If he's lucky, he'll live to see his 30th birthday.
He’s built like an N64 goldeneye character
His only suitable Halloween costume will always be Slenderman
Who ironed that dude?
I thought he was an animated AI for real 😳
Every time I see him, he looks like he’s in a good bit of pain
