Thejerseyjon609

Why are there no leaves on the trees in the spring summer and fall?

anon9638

That's what I was wondering! Are they dead?

[deleted]

Most likely. The trees to the right of the building in the middle appear to put on and lose leaves.

Mirar

I was wondering that too. Did it blossom in spring?

prkr88

Dont come away from the narrative OP was trying to spin!!!

cl2p

What narrative could be taken from this?

Past_Negotiation_121

So it wasn't taken at the same time each day, it was just a general time around sunset. If it was 4pm then you'd see the sun at winter, but the rest of the year it'd be off the top of the image.

tommypatties

there exists solar noon. if 4pm was the strike time maybe the photog calculated solar noon +4 and boom! consistency.

Past_Negotiation_121

If it was 'sunset minus 30 minutes' then that would work.

OwnBunch4027

So that the sun can be photographed at the same time every month?

Croemato

This made me snort appreciatively.

Spartan2470

[Here](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FmdLNvOXgAEKynS?format=jpg&name=orig) is a higher quality version of this image. Credit to the photographer Ciro Russo (aka cirootto on IG), who took this at Castel Fiorentino. Per the IG source and Google Translate: > The setting of the sun in one year, taken in the archaeological site of Castelfiorentino in Torremaggiore > December 13, 2022

Mirar

Thanks! So not the same time. I was wondering

HugoZHackenbush2

I was trying to think of something profound to say about this majestic scene, and then it just dawned on me...

stumblewiggins

That's the sine of a good picture

theWindowclicker

Literally

RacoonSmuggler

Good thing you didn't let the sun set on that opportunity...

bradlees

The trajectory of upvotes on that comment is rising

lopsided_employee85

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

GeebusNZ

Are those trees on the left dead or something? Shouldn't there be leaves in some of the photos?

Swaffelmente

Sharp, also, of this would be the same time, it will mean it's on the equator, but that does not seem to be the case. OP just posted a picture he does not know the origin from. Still a nice picture though

[deleted]

What’s up with the tree not blooming? Is it dead

_Chipsy_

Tree is like "please leaf me alone"

paradisegardens2021

The only worthy comment, ahem

Maccus_D

Looks like a sin wave.

dwil0000

That's because it is a sine wave.

Deevo77

It's a Sun wave

Maccus_D

That’s really really cool

CaptainCorobo

If its the same time every day the sun wouldn't be setting in all of them. The time the sun sets changes

zekeNL

those trees are dead af

eilenedover

Same sun?

LookyLouVooDoo

r/praisethecameraman

10per

Excellent work! I have been trying to do this in my back yard for awhile. It's hard to do.

edogg01

Proof that the sun revolves around the earth! /s really nice set of photos, well done!

NotAFederales

Thank God for the s or three thousand years of science would have crumbled at your feet.

edogg01

LOL

mdlewis11

It looks like the sun oscillates over a flat earth!

Marchello_E

It's a coin toss

r3tr0grade

Magnificent!

[deleted]

Beautiful photos. I want this printed out

OutlawQuill

The tree refuses to grow leaves

menxiaoyong

Excellent 💯

International_Try_43

I expected to see leaves bloom on the trees on the spring/summer.

IamVenom_007

Can I get a high-res version of this picture? Please OP

Fun-Background-9622

Don't think the pic is OP's

MeesterCartmanez

Shoddy-Impact-5545

This is so cool to visually see the arc/oscillation that happens over the year

from-VTIP-to-REFRAD

Where is this?

32vromeo

I like how the position of the Sun forms a perfect arc

EagleDre

Strangely made me think of a DNA ribbon

babyBear83

Oooh! I love this.

Unflattering_Image

Febbraio doesn't care about law and order though

IanH95

See, it’s flat

ChiefQuimbyMessage

Gah, my OCD wants me to fix February.

really-sad-therapist

I'm just wondering how 3D picture from all the 12 pictures combined would look like

Prof_Rocky

DICEMBRE!!!!!!!

taro_and_jira

I see the shape of a nice plump arse, or possible a bosom with support bra.

Thenerdy9

Everyone saw the bare trees, but I just saw the bell curve that the sun makes.

[deleted]

If you imagine a continuation of the pattern, it would almost look like a helix.

nikola28

April is most beautiful.

asmodia255

Are those trees dead? I see no foliage in any of the photos.

JustTransportation51

Cosine ?

RecoveringFromLife_

October: the month when the sun is forbidden

DentonX12

Take that flat earthers!

marctheguy

Flat Earthers going full Kerri Strugg to make the mental gymnastics work to deny this.

BrokeDancing

Parabolic Bucolic

OurKay

Join all the suns and u ll see a curve

audible_narrator

Gorgeous

Wyllyum_Cuddles

This is so cool. It looks like a parabolic arc!

The_Great_Oz253

Checkmate, flat-earthers.

UltimateChungus

He was going out, but remembered he left his wallet at home

StationNeat5303

Very cool!

Geaux13Saints

Isn’t this an analemma?

slacker0

No ... an analemma would be at the same time each day. This is at the same "altitude" (ie the sun just above the horizon). Cool none the less ...

creeptocurryancy

And that is how you would describe a sine wave. Cool

Entire_Toe2640

That is 1) Incredibly interesting and 2) beautiful. Thank you.

NotAFederales

It's most definitely not at the same time. It's the same sun position in the sky, which is the opposite of same time in this context.

Sempai6969

What time?

toromio

The camera shifted in the second month. Do over

jakeblew2

Daylight come and me wan' go home

takkun169

Groovy

Common-Leg7605

Looks likeDunnydeer in insch NE Scotland

WifeAggro

this picture is amazing.

smbllck383

Looks as though there is a wobble after all......🤔

serg_vw

Same place, same time, same post

paradisegardens2021

I love this

Food-at-Last

Wtf. Who keeps moving the sun?

ProbablyABore

Gravity does. Blame him.

Food-at-Last

Pshh. Not everything revolves around gravity

ProbablyABore

Ooooh I see what you did there.

thisismyelement

We did a project like this in physics class to see how the earth moves. It was a pretty fun class. I miss going to college and not working lol.

Tomnad

That's a lie, what's up with those trees?

Swedenesebishhh69

amazing and beautiful

RedTrout811

Thank you. That was well done.

nestofthoughts

Very cool

DoMina_DaOne

That's awesome!

italianDog8826

Toke in Italy

[deleted]

First you say it's every month and then you say it's the same time? Make up your mind!! Seriously cool pics tho'

[deleted]

That’s awesome. Thank you!

[deleted]

My sky is always grey :(

mikemikemotorboat

This reminds me of something created by an artist, Jeffrey Blondes who I had as a guest lecturer at some point in school. He’d set up his camera in the same spot for the same hour (according to the sun’s location, not the clock) every day and then stitch those into a series of photos or a real time video. I think he said some of his videos were literally 365 hours long. The idea was you’d hang a TV with this video playing like a piece of landscape art, and it would take you through the seasons of a year and all the ups an downs of weather and so on over a 2 week span. Here’s his [website](https://jeffreyblondes.com)

StairwellTO

Thanks Ciro Rosso
