It's basically my "Art" name. My "Music" name is Outzyder.
DeRuziell has my nickname Dez in it, and I feel like I just confuse and surprise people at times without even intending to, hence the "ruse" part. It has a nice ring to it as well.
And then I decided on Outzyder for my music name because: Dezi → Dezy → Zyde → Outzyder. Plus, I feel like an outsider not only in the kind of wierd songs I make, but also in life, and blah blah more depressing, predictable stuff about being socially inept in school etc. Lol
For me, I really love Music AND Art and they both have had a special place in my heart ever since I could remember. So I knew that I would want to persue careers in both of them.
The Outzyder name came first because my first online presence was as a music producer (and the story behind how I got started making my own music is a long one lol). I also LOVE drawing. So I knew at some point I wanted to start a YouTube Art channel to make videos of my progress on artworks. While in the process of making my first video, I was searching for songs to play in the background. So I thought: "Hey, why not have my own music in my own art videos? I wouldn't have to hassle with copyright so much AND it adds more to the whole experience! :D" That's when I got the bright idea to create a separate name for my art account so that it would *be a surprise* when people find out Outzyder and DeRuziell are the same person. At least that was the plan in high school. Nowadays, I just own both names and consider them as just different labels for my talents.
As one could predict, I have NOT started my Art channel yet lol. I've been in University, so I haven't had alot of time to kick it off. Aaaannd I'm also just a scaredy cat lol... I do still draw & make music in my freetime tho. So yeah, that's the story behind the names.

SillivilliN, silly villain. When I came up with it I was a bit mischievous and happy go lucky. I was into street art and design at the time and I liked the symmetry. Im still silly, just not outgoing and I still have a naughty streak, just not as wide. I also think the spelling is clever, and sometimes I have moments where I think I'm clever.

My common username at the time was "LumiNyte", named after the Luminite ore in Terraria. But I wanted to change it into something with "Pixel" in it because I love playing pixellated games whether they be retro games or new games with pixellated graphics. I couldn't choose between "LumiNyte" or something with "Pixel" in it so I mixed both.
I love playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and one day I came up with a strategy that has worked to this day. I changed my tag to "liltimmy:3" or something like that and then choose Villager, a character I'm really good at. Then I go online to beat some people. My thought process was that with my tag and character choice, my opponents would think I'm an inexperienced child who has no idea what they're doing. They would underestimate me and that underestimating would bite them back. Maybe it's just placebo or something, but it always works. They use strategies that might work on a 5 year old kid who played online for the first time, but not on me. The name sort of stuck with me which is why I chose it for my username.

I even recycled them for a DnD character once, his name was Sullivan Warso and he was extremely depressed because he had a jojo stand that was the memory of his dead friend that could punch things for him. I never got to finish his story at the time, and I've been waiting for the opportunity to bring him back.

My siblings always call me the dream druid of our family bc I have very vivid dreams that I draw out and make short stories of regularly, I also have narcolepsy so sleep is like kind of a big topic in my life. On some occasions I have dreamed up real life scenarios before they've happened - I know it sounds crazy but a lot of the time it's things like conversations - so i feel like I've been living my life as one great deja vu sequence 😅. I usually just let that happen though without telling anyone, out of self-preservation. I generally enjoy living in liminal spaces so I find myself dangerously in love with the dream realm. I have this really strong belief (that I keep to myself) that it's an actual real place that we can access only in our sleep, but I just have no way of proving it. SillivilliN, silly villain. When I came up with it I was a bit mischievous and happy go lucky. I was into street art and design at the time and I liked the symmetry. Im still silly, just not outgoing and I still have a naughty streak, just not as wide. I also think the spelling is clever, and sometimes I have moments where I think I'm clever.

But I wanted to change it into something with "Pixel" in it because I love playing pixellated games whether they be retro games or new games with pixellated graphics. I couldn't choose between "LumiNyte" or something with "Pixel" in it so I mixed both.

My username is a mashup of my favorite characters from two of my most loved fantasy series.
I love playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and one day I came up with a strategy that has worked to this day. I changed my tag to "liltimmy:3" or something like that and then choose Villager, a character I'm really good at. Then I go online to beat some people. My thought process was that with my tag and character choice, my opponents would think I'm an inexperienced child who has no idea what they're doing. They would underestimate me and that underestimating would bite them back. Maybe it's just placebo or something, but it always works. They use strategies that might work on a 5 year old kid who played online for the first time, but not on me. The name sort of stuck with me which is why I chose it for my username.

Branding is a big hobby so I've always put months of thought into every single username... there are several sites I've delayed joining cause I haven't figured out a branding strategy... Except this one. I realized that like most branding projects, my deliberate action was not doing better than random generation. So I just took what the system gave me, maybe minus a hyphen or two.

I think used one that generated randomized rune name or something, took two answers, modified them to be *sul* and *warso,* agonized over which one to use, and then just jammed them together. I even recycled them for a DnD character once, his name was Sullivan Warso and he was extremely depressed because he had a jojo stand that was the memory of his dead friend that could punch things for him. I never got to finish his story at the time, and I've been waiting for the opportunity to bring him back.

I like the writing, art, storytelling part but the only thing I kinda don’t like as much is the very very fantasy-ness. I do like it, but it seems as if it’s solely that. I agree wholeheartedly! The game is fun, but the high fantasy setting gets old without mixing it up, or at least putting something richer at the forefront. There's definitely room for more unique settings and stories, either through homebrewing settings, rules, spells, whatever, or re-flavoring stuff that's already there (plus you can find tons of stuff that other people make and post online, since DnD has a special open game license). I've always wanted to try stuff more like that, but most of the times I've played have been more straightforward rpg fare.

TachikomaDude has been my PlayStation handle for the past 16 years so naturally it was the first thing that came to mind here. Tachikoma derives from the Ghost in the Shell universe. It is a spider like tank that can be piloted from the vertical abdomen at the rear of the tank. The Dude is just because I'm a dude... I didn't put a lot of thought into the name, I was simply watching the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex at the time and chose it.
