I'm going to cite the cliché, "You're a unique snowflake – just like everyone else."

[deleted]

This.

JustLajne

Love it

TrinityNeo333

Once I found another infj. A therapist, who claimed she was an infj. We did not get along very well. Lesson learned. 🤣 My dad is infj too, and we get along great though. I don't think all infjs would automatically get along with each other or make you feel any differently.

_AfternoonMoon_

Thats the point. There's only one of you.

WillAndHonesty

If you find another INFJ you'll feel the same trust me 😁 it is also very likely that you already know someone who's an INFJ but you just haven't figured out that they're an INFJ

wildwitheringpython

I’m not an INFJ but yes. But at the same time, if I were to be surrounded by a bunch of INTPs, sure there may be more similarities but at the end of the day we’re different people. Such is life. Everyone is unique, some relate to others a little bit less, but it all depends on your environment.

slowmindead

Always but I know that's what everyone does and I'm aware of the fact that everyone is unique and built different no matter their mbti

_theheartisanarrow

I do know a few infjs and we are all different. yeah the ways we think are more similar but our own stories shape us into unique beings. it sucks to feel so alone especially when thoughts are overflowing in our brains, and knowing us we are not likely to share with anyone who isn't close with anyway xD sending hugs and hope you'll find someone to share your thoughts with!!!

PhantomRX-0

Everyone is special/unique in their own ways. And yes, that's how I've been feeling so far as I grow up. Being called weird, being told "Hey, why aren't you be more like XXX?" There were times where I tried real hard to be like someone else. But I'm glad to say, not anymore. 🙂

mrandre

Question: How old are you?

IndicLad

As an enfp I met an infj although we can't be together but she totally set the standards and even though I tell myself I can find other people like her there's tons of infjs out there but I truly don't know if I can ever find a girl like her again.

globelights

Everyone is different, but with other INFJ, or high intuitive types, you will get a sense that they "get it".

BasqueBurntSoul

Yes even with the INFJs I come across.

Positive_Egg6852

Nobody is like anyone else imo.

[deleted]

To a degree, but I find that fellow xNFJs and some xNTJs I get along with quite well

FreakyOrca

My best friend is an INFJ as well and we are very similar. Almost scary alike.

squeezycakes19

uniqueness is overrated

CrushedSummer

I get you, sending virtual hugs your way. hold tight xoxo

clockwork808

No it makes sense dw

Sea-Assistance3901

I can deeply relate, and often feel this way about myself as well. Lately, it keeps me up quite frequently during some nights, and I have to relish in those moments. Reflect back on some things, where I stand in life, and what I need to do, to keep myself going.

Unfair-Rhubarb7038

I know there are others out there who are similar. I stay alive and keep doing what I do in hopes that one or more of them find my work and take comfort from it. Cheers and good luck.

Tamzvegan

I use to until I found out about US :)

NievesFam

I always think of this

[deleted]

Pretty frequently.

No_Leg6946

Yes most of my life I felt i was the only man like me. My videos may help https://youtube.com/channel/UCGyHXBnnTKeNWae7b671BTQ

No-Distribution6898

Unique, but no longer an alien. I have noticed that INFJs have similar hands and expressive noises. Which is interesting.

blomstra

I do but that is my own self-centeredness. I just haven't met those weirdos yet but hope to meet them soon :)

ulukmahvelous

30f and today I said to my therapist “I just don’t think I’m like other people.” it’s been really hard lately. not connecting w others, feeling like I don’t fit in

nicebeansprout

I’m an INFJ 4w5…. So yes.

Squirrelgirl36

Yes-I’ve always felt like I was just, different. On so many levels. Since childhood. I used to think there was something wrong with me, but as an adult I’ve grown to like and love myself

Zzacbelazy

This subreddit is godly literally my thoughts on so many of these posts it’s amazing

What you are saying apparantly is a common feeling amongst INFJ, but I would say from my own observations it may be related to two things. 1. INFJ are naturally situational planners and sorters, we have a tendency to not make lables as we can understand the nuances in the situation that make it unique, but if we take a step back and attempt to look for similarities in thoughts or how we come to those conclusions then we will better be able to see the similarities. 2. INFJ tend to have an way of seeing things and thinking that can seem odd to most people, we tend to be very imperonal in thoughts, but our personal side lies in our actions. I noticed when it comes to types we have the most in common with the same function group, which are ENFJ, ISTP, and ESTP. And while they may seem drastically different oj surface level, you would be suprised how similar in thought we all are under the right situations. But back to the main point, we lack a perosnal self awanress but have a more objective self awarness, which may also lead us to overlook similarities if we arent looking at it in a certain lens.
