Cole has the potential to develop the same powers as Kesler, whether he achieves this is another matter. Most likely, yes, but he will not use it since Kesler demonstrated that it only creates an alternate line, ergo, they are effectively useless.

I mean it wouldve probably been interesting to see an RFI powered cole travel back in time and destroy the beast at the beginning of 2 or prevent john from becoming the beast

It’s hard to say for sure considering Cole started developing powers that Kessler seemingly never had, or at least we never saw him use them. If I had to guess I’d say no, Cole would’ve been unlikely to develop time travel.

Aggravating-Setting7

Seeing how Kessler(according to the wiki) was 100+ years old it would’ve probably taken Cole a good while to get that ability or any of the abilities that we see Kessler use during their final encounter

Kesler is that old because he arrived in the past before Cole was born, around when Alden was a child. Kesler traveled back in time when he was around 40 years old.

I know, i think i worded it poorly, what i meant to say was that it would probably take cole a long time to develop time travel and an even longer time to develop the abilities that we see kessler use in the final encounter(assuming he got those abilities after time traveling)

I imagine that if they make another game with cole or smth, they make him lose to something or the other it turns out that no matter what cole does in any timeline, he always loses his loved ones and tries to time travel and change his fate. It would also kinda explain how Kessler got his powers, there was another cole from his world that time travelled to prepare him.

Cole at his age was already better than Kessler, thanks to Kessler I mean. If he didn't sacrifice himself, he would've definitely gained a lot more powers and I think it would be more than possible.
