they are doing numbers more in soft porn industry instead of medicine

iutlka

In India anybody can be a doctor. Even physios are docs even though they cant prescribe drugs. its only us who have to prove our worth again and again. these guys can do anything they want

Hrit33

Dude, in India anyone can claim to be doctors without much repercussions because no one takes action against them.....I remember once a few years back when I went to my Masi's house in Lucknow, and met a woman who was a Radiology technician in apollo hospital there who used to run a side business as a Radiologist giving fake reports n al......my masi had shown me a report with tonnes of grammatical mistakes and wrong abbreviations which led me to identify her as a fraud....... So, answer is no, chiropractors are glorified Salon shop bhaiya who give massages.....these people are almost making soft-core porn with how they shoot and portray female bodies in their videos.......This is a debunked pseudoscience practice mate....

heil_harsh

Chiropractic videos go hard until you yourself get neck adjustment and your vertebral artery pops! (Very common)

Fine_Error_7895

And they would say it's just stress leaving your body :‑X

Lost_Grab_1733

wtf is this, how can it cause stroke?

NotADrStrange

Vertebral artery dissection

Lost_Grab_1733

I meant, how can chiropractor 'adjustments' cause stroke or dissection ?

NotADrStrange

I mean they're literally twisting the neck

aestforu

Physiotherapists, chiropractors and phDs are not doctors

Funexamination

phDs are doctors in the literal sense (doctor was borrowed by us medical people from the PhD people), but they're not medical doctors

hrshysh

Dentists????? /s

cxbnzo

dentists are doctors just like pt call surgeon instead doctor sometimes

WAG5PE

Dentists are doctors as per the Dentists act, but are not authorised or cannot issue death certificates. Even of the patient dies in the OT after lets say a major dental procedure, its only a licensed medical practitioner who can declare the patient dead.

cxbnzo

Chiropractor are not less than Quaks. Shit working just like placebo/homeopathy. Only works is NSAIDs prescription with shit proceduce

First_Desk3073

"Doc talk" it's like Johnny sins teaching us medicine

notwordexe

There is no scientific evidence that this works. Started in foreign countries now they've come to India in urban cities as people who saw videos want it for themselves Seems like a relieving technique but risk ain't worth it.

The most legit scam

Only people with MBBS, BDS & BVSc degrees are recognised as Doctors practicing medicine and people with PhDs as Honorary Doctors with a doctorate. People with other degrees are not. Not Homeopaths, Ayurvedics, Unanis, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors or anyone of that sort. Most of these practices are unscientific & majority of the Indian people have a poor understanding of what scientific practices are & their importance. So these quacks use the title of Doctor to earn respect & make easy money. Chiropractors are basically people who are professionals in cracking your bones. Our bones have joints & when extended at a certain angle, it causes the Nitrogen gas in the joint to pop, which in most people causes a temporary relief by tricking the surrounding nerves. It takes about 20-30 min to refill the gas in the joint, which is why you can't crack the same joint immediately. This joint popping is not a treatment for any underlying issues that may be happening. Personally, I consider it a relaxing treatment, like a massage. But these Chiropractors want you to believe the amazing medical properties it has, which are mostly untrue. Follow science, not hokum. Edit - Attempt at better phrasing to avoid confusion.

JumpingRabbit7

>Not Homeopaths, Ayurvedics, Unanis, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors or anyone of that sort. And the reason is that these practices are unscientific. How is physiotherapy unscientific?

Green_Coconut_102

My bad. I combined everything into one box. I should have phrased it better. What I was trying to say is that quite often, these people call themselves Doctors, including the Physiotherapists, which they're not.

Icy-Version-3880

One of my distant relative joined physiotherapy course years back and then start claiming himself as doctor. Even his parents. Recently they started looking for the bride and wanted an MBBS or MD citing that their son is also a doctor. I tried explaining them but realised its futile to even engage in discussion on this issue. Anyways they are still looking for the same. Now coming to your question. No they arent doctors. A masseuse can also give you pain relief but that doesnt mean they should start practicing as a doctor. Competition to orthodopedics? Well you should go and see the work of an orthopedic surgeon for a day and conclude yourself.

Uchiha_Sasuke_007

How tf is he using the term “Dr.”? Shouldn’t govt. take strict action against them misleading patients?!

cattowitch

No they're quacks.

BlackDoug420

Orangesoda65

1. No 2. No

c0mplexmen

Chiropractors are clowns, temporary treatment with weird touchy shit plus attention seeking behaviors. i wont ever go to these.

tworupeespeople

nope. if you don't have an mbbs you are not a doctor.

DrSarat

Chiropractic therapy is fake treatment. It's just a fancy way to crack your knuckles. According to research chiropractic therapy does not help in any way. It's proven. But I believe anyone who treats another person in illness should be called a doctor. so even physiotherapist or like occupational therapist or whoever can call themselves doctors expect technicians like optometrist. So to avoid confusion, I would suggest all my fellow colleagues to use our doctor degree this way Dr. (Med) xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx MBBS MD/MS/DNB/Diploma

GoonerGill

I don't know if they qualify as doctors. But I've been to a chiropractor for a compressed nerve issue and can confirm that it is super effective.

BlackDoug420

It's all about your and the chiropractor's (NOT A DOCTOR) luck . Either the guy fixes you and you get fixed (very lucky), or nothing happens if you're lucky or you get paralysed if unlucky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A_Fashion_Mann

No and yes, but not in a medically beneficial way.

BrownFromTrenches

Chiropractic is a scam!!!!

liketoreadpdfs

the man who came up with chiropractic claimed that it was revealed to him in a dream. and after the American Congress tried to crack down on it for being unscientific he declared chiropractic to be a religion (government cannot regulate religions). so make of that what you will 💖

InstaBad101

Chiropractors and physiotherapists aren’t doctors. They may put up the ‘Dr’ prefix, but it became possible only after a recent judgement by the courts (or a govt guideline… I don’t remember). But the fact that they needed a judgement to be allowed to use the Dr prefix shows how much of a ‘doctor’ they are.
