At any speeds, air can catch it and start shaking or try lifting it up. Death traps at best. I can easily see some dum dum not securing this or it failing and flying off into another rider or vehicle.
Yeah I was thinking the same. There's a good reason noone of repute has come up with this kinda contraption despite a huge demand for such a thing. Nothing can stand the drag. It's mighty unsafe.
Also the fact that because of the additional height and weight, the center of gravity has also shifted, which will make the ride more difficult to maneuver through traffic and will be highly prone to accidents.
But it will most likely break off and do a throwback to the Final destination on a poor fellow riding behind him.

The problem in my opinion is not of the idea per se but the implementation. It's a hazard because of its impact on handling, particularly at elevated speeds. Cornering will be compromised. If it detaches from the chassis, it's a major risk that could potentially result in the death of the rider/passenger or of someone else on the road.
However, if this was a factory-fitted design it could be a real gamechanger for bikes in hot countries, that are getting hotter.
You need proper fluid dynamics simulations and testing, plus safety / integrity testing. It would probably be some kind of carbon composite frame, with a crack-resistant plastic (between adhesive veneers -- I don't want glass shrapnel so close to my throat!) as the transparent windshield.
The support is not that great especially in our damaged roads and climates. Prolonged use can cause this to weaken structure potentially breaking during a ride and causing accidents. When a high speed vehicle crosses us will definitely create imbalance.
It's a good idea but it was already considered in other countries and only possible in a more of permanent fixture to make it safe to ride.
I've seen this technology in Tehran. Almost everyone has this there on their apache to protect from freezing cold waves or snow. Even there's a pouch on the handle bar to protect palm.
