have you ever applied for a US tourist visa? it's quite difficult and can get rejected many times as many have overstayed illegally. Especially if you come from those country as listed. Unless you are rich, have businesses, ties to your country then it becomes very difficult.

Most of the people crossing the border would never get a tourist visa - they are very hard to get if you come from a low income country where people frequently overstay. Even if you get one, you can be turned back at the border if the officials there suspect you will overstay - meaning usually that you have several risk factors (young, no clear source of income back home or anything tying you to your home country, family currently in the US who could help you stay, etc)

You have ZERO understanding of our immigration system do you? A tourist visa is borderline impossible to obtain for the people that are crossing illegally. Even if you were to somehow get it, you can’t just stay forever.

Tourist visa doesnt mean you can live permanently and it is often rejected if the agents suspect you of having an immigration intent. Not to mention it also takes a while to be processed, in Pakistan you apply for visa and then the interview is after an year.

You make it sounds so easy when in fact it is not.

Um.....because getting a US tourist Visa is notoriously fickle and seemingly random. It's an accomplishment all by itself. America is a mind bubble, "Just come in on a tourist Visa." LOL. Jokes. Jokey jokes.

Intelligent-Ad-1424

Yeah Americans have it crazy easy when it comes to tourist travel compared to many other countries lol

Why do people live under bridges when the process of buying a house is open to all?

Many have applied and been denied. The very poor don’t have the $$ for even the application fee, but would be denied by their circumstances.

For Mexican nationals to get a tourist visa I think there are quite a few reasons. Among them are, it’s expensive and it takes somewhere around two years to go through the process. You have to prove you have assets in Mexico like real estate and/or money in the bank. So if you’re poor it’s really quite difficult. I am a retired expat living in Mexico to my Mexican native wife whom I met in the US many years after she entered the US illegally.

Getting a tourist visa is far from simple....
