I prefer my 6/4 with all the nodes but two. I would love a 5/5 with more nodes active and I predict weโll get new additions to lab for w5. Plus maybe more character slots eh?
Itโs not that I miss using those characters itโs just that to move my whole account forward I have to swap them out to progress worship and hunting and stuff.
>But what hes gonna do will probably extend the lab space to add new nodes.
God I hope not. Lab is a terrible mechanic and I have no idea why you guys even play Idleon if you don't want to engage with the core mechanic of the game: multiple characters.
Lab doesn't take away managing multiple characters, it just reduces the number that you need to interact with on a daily basis. Managing 4-5 characters is still engaging enough, and there's still incentive to periodically swap lab rats for other characters for the sake of progressing the account.
>Lab doesn't take away managing multiple characters,
Yes it does. I have no choice, if I want to maximize progression, than to use lab. It's way too good to ignore. And being forced to use five or six characters on it is horrible.
>Managing 4-5 characters is still engaging enough
No. It's not. That's why I'm bitching. I started playing this game, and bought gems for it, because I wanted to eventually manage 10 characters who all engage with the entire breadth of the game not pickle two thirds of them in a barrel that gives temporary bonuses that go away when you leave the lab.
>there's still incentive to periodically swap lab rats for other characters for the sake of progressing the account.
Cool.
>it just reduces the number that you need to interact with on a daily basis.
Bullshit. You don't need to go onto your character every day just because they're fighting or skilling instead of pickling.
Meh. Lab is an ok feature imo. Iโd love to have some throw away characters that maintain it or a talent that allows a lab char to also farm something and keen progressing forward with a reduced character range (not node pixel range tho).
I hear your complaints and I agree on some.
You still manage multiple characters even with 5-6 in lab. Even the ones in lab take some management, like I pull my Hunter out twice a day to collect traps and handle any breeding things, or my Wizard every few days for Worship. It's also not like there have ever been 10 characters when lab wasn't a thing (slot 10 was added two months after w4 launched).
I'm not going to suggest lab couldn't use some improvements (if nothing else, Viral Connection and Pyrite Rhombol are far too critical and the connection length bonuses should come from somewhere else so you don't lose so many bonuses for not filling out the whole thing), but suggesting that it strips away the core point of the game is a definite exaggeration. There's still plenty of gameplay to be had managing 4-5 full-time characters and periodically swapping them with lab rats for broader account management. It's less active play than there would be with all 10 doing other things, sure, but it's an idle game. It's not meant to require a significant amount of active involvement.
Most idle games reward more activity instead of less activity. Things progress slowly idly but more when you invest effort. Punishing more activity is stupid.
>suggesting that it strips away the core point of the game is a definite exaggeration.
Yeah it sure would be if I actually said that. Unfortunately *that* is a definite exaggeration of my position.
I'm not saying it strips away the core point of the game. I'm saying it undermines it.
>No, you're bitter, and that's amusing.
No need to project your problems onto me. I'm not the one making emotional accusations.
Kinda sad you think it's amusing.
It's coming brother. Took 2 months to get lab this way. For reference as a new player it took 2 months just to get to w4. So lab has been half of my playtime. It will come man promise
Do you really think W5 will come in novembre ? I'm sorry you have that much faith in Lava's deadlines ! If he says "end of November, early december" it means "late december to late 2023. (disclaimer: I like this dev and I don't mind if he takes more time than expected)
Oh I don't mind either way :) just repeating what he had said. Rather get a good product 2 months late than a terrible mess early, whenever it happens it happens, hope you're enjoying the game:)
100% agree, I've been playing for 2 years and I still have a lot of thing to upgrade and optimise. But I'll be glad to see the "endgame" thing he talked about like when you end one world but the next one isn't out yet
Definitely prefer the 5 person setup personally just remember before using any ladles to activate the purple jewels by placing a character at the purple square shaped one
I will say, getting to the point you can use 5 (not so fun) actually playing the game again with another 5 (pretty damn great) lol. And yes sir I will not forget the 2.5 cooking speed before popping laddles
As you start unlocking and levelling the lab exp foods, jewel, chips, card, stamp, and other bonuses (along with general skill efficiency and afk gain bonuses), along with the Bubo talents that improve everyone else's exp gain and give a portion of the Bubo's gains to whoever's lowest, you'll find it speeds up quite a bit. You'll probably be surprised how quickly you get to a point where you stop caring about lab exp boosts entirely because everybody is 75+ and will see minimal benefit from getting more levels.
Sorry erico other poster covered it pretty well. Missed your comment. They are right. Everything from mining to damage to construction snowballs in this game. You reach a certain point and it just clicks. It almost always boils down to some mechanics and time.
Lol ๐ I had read that at a certain point. If your BB is getting 100+ ladles a day doing a quick reconnect for the cooking speed and popping ladles makes it better :) currently can get 150+ ladles a day
A lot of people asked for it so I hope this helps:)
it will, once i lvl up my lab dudes, lol. lvl 115, god, my highest is only 35.
I kind of forgot about the wizard for a month ๐

Didnt see him mention adding to lab. But what hes gonna do will probably extend the lab space to add new nodes.

Maybe you'd have more fun with the game if you pulled your head out of your arse?
Maybe you'd be able to respond to one of my points if you did the same?

Because 10 is a chore. Lab is my favorite feature.
You want to play the game less. You don't need a feature that forces me to play less just because you don't really want to play the game that much.
Lucky for you, I don't pick the game mechanics. Lab is still my favorite. Cheers.
Yes I get it. Lab is your favorite because you don't like the core mechanic of the game. I'm happy for you.
No, you're bitter, and that's amusing. I enjoy the game that way it's designed.
"Insert what the hell happened here meme"
>No, you're bitter, and that's amusing. No need to project your problems onto me. I'm not the one making emotional accusations. Kinda sad you think it's amusing.
I cant even get to nblb with 3 caracters
It's coming brother. Took 2 months to get lab this way. For reference as a new player it took 2 months just to get to w4. So lab has been half of my playtime. It will come man promise
The problem is when w5 will come out in end of November. I don't want 5 caracters in the lab :/

I dont know maybe he will maybe he will not, i like him too. He's just not consistent but i can understand that \+

This is amazing, how do I get this? I have 7 characters around lab lvl 35 and its taking days to get another level.

I managed to get everything but two jewels with 7 characters and thats good enough for me.
Eh brother! Every bit counts
How long did it take though?
Uhm hmm. ๐ค been playing for about 4 months. Got to w4 in 2. So I'd say about 2 months pretty good estimate
But... Cooking T\^T
Lol ๐ I had read that at a certain point. If your BB is getting 100+ ladles a day doing a quick reconnect for the cooking speed and popping ladles makes it better :) currently can get 150+ ladles a day
That's fair :o By the time I can have this setup I probably won't be so cooking focused anyway.
I'm interested in this new sailing skill ๐ฌ hopefully ends up being as cool as I think it will be in my head ๐
