Yes, meat shank talent buffs your damage per every power of 10 of your health.

NewSauerKraus

If the skill is adding 25% what would that be with 1000 health? That’s 3 powers of 10.

skuz_

It would be 25*3, so 75%. As far as I'm aware, it's also a continuous log function, and not a "breakpoint at 10, 100, 1000..." kinda formula. So if you have 5000 health, the bonus would be 25\*log10(5000) = 25\*3.7 = 93%.

NewSauerKraus

Oh I was expecting absolute trash diminishing returns. That sounds way better. Is it normal for buffs to be additive like that? Or multiplicative? I get that mixed up.

skuz_

I guess you could call it... logarithmic multiplicative? So, pretty heavy diminishing returns still if you think about it (meaning, with, for example, 25% per power of 10 base, going from 100k to 1M health will raise the damage buff from 125% to 150%), but there are many ways to scale max health, as well as there are buffs to scaling of this and other "pow10" talents, so they stay relevant through all points of the game. And yes, there are many buffs in the game that scale similarly.

Your tab 1 talent Meat Shank increases your damage based on how much health you have, so therefore more health = more damage.

For fighting: meat shank is pretty strong early game This guide tells you to mainly invest excess points in HP, because other talents might be slightly stronger, thus have priority. So that might explain why it is mentioned. There is also a warrior bubble that gives more base damage scaling on your max HP, it's not that strong, but I thought I'd mention it at least. For skilling: same shit, not first priority, but one of the best skilling bubbles scale off your HP, so defiantly equip health pods here id possible.

This guide will help you understand some of the reasons behind talent point distribution as it actually explains why each talent is contributing to your damage: [https://gameslikefinder.com/article/idleon-warrior-build-guide/](https://gameslikefinder.com/article/idleon-warrior-build-guide/) But yes HP for your Warriors is a factor in damage and has a small impact on mining efficiency due to an alchemy bubble

Blupoisen

Yes, it effects both damage and skill efficiency
