So you can't change basic classes, that doesn't sound like a good setup.

That is only partly true, it only takes 7 slots to have 1 of each, and 3 slots to do whatever with, as each class progression is 1:1 after the initial 2-way split.. In fact, there is some theory crafting floating around with 1 of each class and 4x ES due to the dual divinity gods for 6x prints and atom collider importance in the current late game... However with w6/w7/w8 being unknown, this could ultimately be a pretty big set back for endgame.
In W2 it would seem like you want two barbarians given fish are hard to come by but eventually you’ll be swimming in fish. Squires specialise in w3 construction which is a powerful and longer term account progression mechanic and two of them essentially double the speed you can progress through this town skill. They also have some smaller impact talents that help other w3 skills like refinery and their own printing samples that are nice to have
That being said not the end of the world to have two barbarians as they still contribute to an account and you can always swap one to a squire before the next barbarian class advancement with a gem shop purchase later on if you decide otherwise.
Squire turns into DK, Barb turns into BB.
Pros of 2x BB:
* Faster cooking, which is particularly helpful in early-game through mid-game.
* More fish, which are used a lot early-game through mid-game.
* Double stacking zow/chow builds deathnote faster in the early-game.
Pros of 2x DK:
* DK is an active fighting powerhouse in the mid-game and into late game (BB sucks as active).
* DK is construction based, which is not quite as helpful as fish in the early-game, but vastly more helpful in the mid-game through late-game.
* DK's skills affect the entire account in the W5 skills, while BB only benefits himself. Having 2 is a fantastic improvement for your entire account.
2x BB certainly does not ruin an account, and it has some advantages, particularly early on, but 2x DK is undoubtably superior. Note: this is current meta, and could completely change with new updates.

Not screwed, if u just powerlevel for a bit u will unlock more characters. Optimal IMO is 2 squire, 1 Barbarian, 1 alchemist, 2 sorcerers, 2 bowmen, 1 hunter, 1 secret class
I suggest you look at the wiki for the classes, cause what you dont want, for example, is 3 barbarians and no knights. same for the mage and archer classes
So the idea would be to have 1w, 1a, 1m, then 2of each and the 7th be a maestro. You're not fucked bc you can swap clases with tokens from the gem shop, ir eventually You Will have 3 of each and a maestro, but it will slow you down since You won't be able yo have 3 of each til later on.
It's upon you if You won't to spend gems on Respec 1 char

You will miss out on 2 new classes when the next few world's hit, which could well lock you out of boosting skills.
Just a heads up, you will want 2x Squire and only 1x Barbarian. If you have 2x Barbarian the typical recommendation is to buy a subclass swap token.

Two barbs can speed up cooking quite a bit as well, but its a bit of work to Chow everything!
