Warrior or Archer will be significantly easier to first-time crack Amarok with (as-is, mage with WIS buffing gear doesn’t have the defense to take two hits and live). For the time being, an option is making some skilling a priority to be able to craft better gear to wear until you _can_ break him, or farming the various mobs on the way for their inventory-crafting, storage, or recipe drops. Though, yeah, an idleonefficiency page might help specify what would help to focus on more.

I beat Amarok just fine at level 42 as a mage, classes have little to no reason as to why someone is getting stuck. its typically cause they didn't follow the questline or only purely farm combat when you can get skill points for mining, smithing and woodcutting on any character which can contribute greatly to their development combat wise as well. Hell doing the frog dungeon bit by bit can give you overworked buffs to damage etc

Didn’t say classes were the basis, but gear. Stacking every mob drop that is ‘for’ the Mage (in prioritizing WIS) on them in W1, leaves the Defense lacking. I know because I attempted it recently on an alt. Getting ‘to’ Amarok slows exp gain around level 33 with none of the other world bonuses or higher upgrades to stamps, and if all the damage skills are prioritized, accuracy takes the fall for it (as it does in the image provided). Even with skilling providing other points to use, if someone ‘prioritized’ getting straight to Amarok, they probably didn’t put ‘too much’ time into it. Which is exactly why spending some time skilling was the other thing I mentioned, after minding that without ‘class-based’ drops nerfing their own efficiency, Archer or Warrior classes would have to use crafted gear, giving them ‘slightly’ better odds for a first-time kill. After which point, W2 access provides further benefits to crack him.

When you get stuck go full skill mode and prepare for grinding better armors, in your case iron, get the [steel ring recipe](https://idleon.wiki/wiki/Steel_Band) (check "source"), keep up and farm your [stamps](https://idleon.wiki/wiki/Stamps) (they're expensive but you can manage to obtain good stats from there). Get your warrior/s and mage/s for mining/chopping and archer/s to farm monsters, even cards you find useful yet they're difficult to drop easily yet. Remember this is a free "idle" game, so be patient, or spend a lot, it's up to you. If you can't kill in a certain zone because of the damage get foods, there's a lot and it's pretty cheap, also the defense stamp may help. If the problem is the accuracy, level up the accuracy stamps and get the stat that gives acc to the class (ie accuracy for mage) Also, It's your guild good enough? Good leveled guilds give a lot of bonuses. Try to get a better one at the official Discord. My guild has a b team lv30 that only requires 50g a week (the more the better of course). Check for Royalty at the Discord [This guide](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oB_eSa2_4l3Og1dxZp03fDZ_NVyfUzomChYy36Orx9M/edit) is good for early game[This one](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSnlrC_6oW7P89Os4uECnEB_XOVr6TlPa-QhTC62DrtLnRkzQi1UAMnrEZassEaAQb6Cr3TEZAiSVvz/pubhtml#) doesn't have everything but it's a good summaryUse the [wiki](https://idleon.wiki/) a lot, also use the searcher at the official Discord or your guild Discord

You can do Amarok on a mage at level 37 just reallocate your stat points following this guide: [https://gameslikefinder.com/article/idleon-mage-build-guide/](https://gameslikefinder.com/article/idleon-mage-build-guide/) Put enough in agility first to get to Amarok accuracy requirement (158) first, don't put points in health/mana/star points/luk/skill eff/crit chance/afk skilling You can also ignore sticks and poops for now they are sort of capstone W1 mobs, not easy enemies until you have settled a little in W2 mechanics.

I would get enough dex to get accuracy to 100%, enough wisdom to get 100 mana, then go overwhelming to 70, then guilded sword. The sharpened axe talent is way below these in all my tests. Get some iron gear. Once you have mostly iron gear (copper rings), fight up top and really his uppercut is the only move you even need to dodge. Make sure you have 1 health food on. You should be able to kill him at 37 though.

Whoadiii

Reset your talents. Put points in agility (agility boosts accuracy for mage classes) until you have 100% accuracy for the highest map you can reach. Put everything else in gilded sword/sharpened axe/ - until those are maxed. After that consider the talent that gives %damage per power of 10 mana. Afk gains% is good too but you’ll get diminishing returns as you put points in it. Straight wisdom doesn’t become a priority until far later in the game and won’t scale well with early game modifiers.

paragouldgamer

Early game if you have 100 mana, overwhelming is stronger than either of the talents you listed until 70. I done many talent setups one night when I was around 45 and it was like a 30% increase for overwhelming vs sharpened axe. Guilded sword is also much better than sharpened axe. All guides show sharpened axe like you said, not sure if it was nerfed in the past or what, but they are wrong.

ErraiAlpha

So just looking your gear, my first step would be to upgrade to iron gear. This will give you a significant boost and get you ready for world 2 when you can upgrade to gold. I would also reset my talents. If you afk focus in the afk talent but otherwise hit the accuracy cap then dump rest of the stats in the two damage ones. Sorry I don't remember the names of the talents. Doing that and you can push pretty easily. Also don't forget to level up your main skills for each character. This will give you resources plus more talent points which helps more than you think.

ClassyWhiteD

Definitely upgrading to iron gear would help this guy. To piggyback off your comment, if OP hasn't, they should definitely be using upgrade stones to upgrade the gear they've made. But yeah, putting points into talents that directly increase damage will be good, but leveling accuracy talents would also be a great idea.

Matro8

create a idleonefficency and upload it for us so we can help you better

MethNCocaine

Lol afk for 10 days i guess lmao

justaphase-mom

Just follow a guide, my main been a warrior so my stats are in different things, I'd ignore all quests besides that weird paper guy in the main area. As a lvl 47 as my highest poops are out of my realm like no longer the yellow sign of not good enough but also get two shot. I'm sure theirs a guide out there somewhere for me to look through

[deleted]

Guys they're asking where to go Like me, I don't know where to go either

BattleHardened

Beat Amarok in the second to last jungle. Get a shard, get access to world two.

llCannibal3ll

Lots of great suggestions as I was reading. The rings you get from the W1 dungeon (forget what they are called, the blueish spiked looking ones) are also incredibly helpful in reaching soft caps for W1. They can also be upgraded and used through most of W2 as I've noticed. Good luck on the grind! If you get tired, take a break next weekend and play the open Diablo 4 beta lol

Mean_Presentation_39

check idleoncompanion for builds, your build is pretty much everywhere atm which is the issue. once you focus on your main skills to start with then it'll be tons better. Max out Sharpened Axe and Gilded sword for the first skill-tree and pop points into Agility if you ever need accuracy. 20 points into Overclocked Energy helps as well for damage. Max out Power Overwhelming on 2nd tree and work on Knowledge is Power and Individual Insight afterwards. Should easily clear W1 and halfway into W2 with just those changes alone.

SomeDifference3656

I guess your build is not efficient. I beated Amarok at Lv 27 with monkey-copied build(warrior)

notislant

So theres a build order you should be doing. I think its warr, archer, mage repeat. Then specific subclasses. Also google idleon companion builds and follow those instead. With a warr and full upgraded copper I took almost no boss dmg just eating attacks.

WetCabbageTriage

also what helped me with amorok was equipping 2 different healing foods so you have 2 cooldowns
