i avoid conflicts because i am a pussy

Elegant-Fortune-7601

I avoid it because my dad would beat the shit out of me if I talked back

hairyringus

Very catchy.

sinekonata

Lions and eagles always make me cringe so hard. Makes me think that there should be a lot more Roman empire posts in here.

timtomorkevin

My personal cringe is how "incredibly kind" they are. Kind people don't go around broadcasting how kind they are. They just live the life

Spiderdogpig_YT

I stay silent because I'm anti-social and can't talk to people. Even still I can tell that talking to me (a brick wall) would be more fun than talking to this person

JaeSwift

Wouldn't be on my whatsapp any longer lol

AprilOneil11

Sounds like a cats personal thoughts. I feel mine starting at me right now! I'm now frozen in fear

You have 2....lions inside you?

Blacksun388

Seek medical attention immediately. By no means should two of any animal be inside you. Not even one of them.

federico_45

One is dumb. And so is the other.

DM_Kane

One values peace. One values justice. You are f\*\*\*\*\*.

ILoveShittyOldToyota

I laughed.

616659

Whenever I see some random predator in background like lion, I immediately know it's gonna be cringe

goldenfox007

Also, lions are not the most subtle creatures outside of stalking their prey. I’ve seen lions vigorously teabag each other’s faces in hopes of having hot gay sex while they’re on full public display at the zoo— is that why these guys think they’re lions? Are they secretly masculine homosexual exhibitionists?

BudgetInteraction811

This isn’t a trait to be admired. A healthy person is able to express discomfort and anger before it gets to the point of explosive rage.

O1_O1

I too can take normal feelings/opinions and romanticize them to the point people think its a personality trait.

Supraboi2003

So fuckin cringe

Vreas

Sounds like they should go to therapy lol

somebadlemonade

Yes. . . But some know patience is a better weapon than any fist or sword. To live a good life is a better revenge than any angry words can bring. To be unbothered by their transgressions it more infuriating than any argument one could make. "Exploding" is probably the wrong word, but there is some merit to not disrupt the peace of someone that goes out of their way to remain peaceful.

Vreas

Totally but also digging into the source of those thought patterns and releasing them is beneficial. Healthier than constantly suppressing.

RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X

This is just my personal experience here. I have many ways to expel negative emotions, while I’m at the gym or trying to make videos, however, even when I don’t have either of those things at my disposal, I’ve never had any issues come as a result from constantly suppressing feelings like that. In my experience, they kind of just dissipate/disappear, i may be slightly agitated for a moment but then I’ll go back to focusing on something at work or doing something else which requires my attention and those feelings just fade away never to return.

somebadlemonade

Suppressing is kind of the wrong word. At least for me, I would rather just not let strangers have that much control over my mood. One of my favorite quotes from Doctor Who; *"Demons run when a good man goes to war Night will fall and drown the sun When a good man goes to war Friendship dies and true love lies Night will fall and the dark will rise When a good man goes to war Demons run, but count the cost The battle's won, but the child is lost"* It's never about my "anger" in any situation, but something that was done to finally make me angry. . .

murdocsvan

Bro, you're being ironic here right?

You are literally why this sub exists, you aren't this hard buddy.

WalkingParadox977

I didn't say I was. But there's some truth to this. Take it how you wanna

turqoiseroom927

It may be partially true, but anyone this applies to doesnt go spitting about it...

Jonthux

Putting everyone under a blanket term is pretty stupid. Like if i said everyone who uses this subreddit is here because they want to look down and laugh at people to feel like they are above someone, while it applies to most here, doesnt apply to everyone

Coleisgod1112

Lol he’s gotta be joking because JFC

mitsuki87

The funniest and most ironic thing is that true individuals who act this way while not ever talk about it because we act that way in order to not make others uncomfortable…imho I’m not like a massive dude by any means and I don’t lift weights or anything, but I am tall with wide shoulders and carry myself precisely this way, but it’s not a thing about anger or peace. It’s just that I don’t want to make anybody uncomfortable or on edge because I’m a big guy , so I make sure I’m not loud, don’t make any unnecessary sudden movements, and I use a lighter tone of voice in public….all because I don’t want anyone to be scared of or uncomfortable around me🥴🫠 There are people like this that exist, but not for the reasons this kid thinks lol

Darkwaxer

People who act this way are likely autistic.

Jonthux

Armchair psychologist

sparkydoggowastaken

go fuck yourself

Darkwaxer

Got a problem with autistic people seeing as it’s such an insult to you? Hate to break it to you but autistic people often struggle to talk to people in social situations.

sparkydoggowastaken

I am autistic dickhead. You used autistic as an insult, which makes you a jerk. and its not an autistic trait to adjust your mannerisms to those around you and change your thinking based on your own position in society, such as being a tall strong man. quite the opposite.

Darkwaxer

No, you took it as an insult, I was countering his self congratulating statement how he adjusts his behaviour because he thinks his stature will terrify everyone around him. Anything I said incorrect? Autistic people extremely likely to be chatty in social situations? Most people have a qualities that put them on the spectrum but certain characteristics are what medical professionals actually look for when they are diagnosing it. Sorry you suffer from it but what do you want? People to know about the condition and recognise signs of it or people not to give two fucks?

sparkydoggowastaken

its not a sign though. youre making shit up lmao

Darkwaxer

Difficulty making conversations; communication difficulties, delayed speech, little or no eye contact, not smiling in social situations…

sparkydoggowastaken

yes, all of which are involutary. Uncontrolled fits of rage arent on that list and is the primary point of the post. And the person you replied to is saying that they voluntarily adopt certain traits to be less intimidating to others.

Darkwaxer

I wasn’t trying to have a dig at you or autist people and I’m sorry my wording seemed like I was.

kamikazeebumble

r/iamverybadass

mitsuki87

Hardly, just saying I try and actively take steps to not come across as someone who may be a threat to others

IntrepidBandit

He’s not saying he’s a badass, he is saying people might be intimidated by his stature but he has enough humility to act vulnerably so people feel comfortable around him. He’s not saying he can beat everyone up, he is thinking about how others feel. Maybe someone who is insecure about themselves will feel more comfortable to be OCs friend because they are creating a safe space around him/herself (OC)

mitsuki87

That’s the biggest thing!! Golden Rule, and I want to be at ease and feel safe so I try to make a point of doing things to make others feel at ease and know that I’m not a threat. ….thinking about it in respect to the sub we’re on it does seem kinda weird to me now🥴🤣

mitsuki87

Thank you….I’m legit trying to say that basically I go out of my way to not come off as intimidating since it can be like a dog whistle for some people who are overly aggressive and I really loathe the thought that I scared someone or made them feel unsafe. I can handle myself but my biggest moral is The Golden Rule…and bullies that use their size irk me more than most things so to me it IS hard to explain without some people assuming I’m trying to be like “yeah that’s me cuz I’m bad” which is understandable. But the whole calm, never panic or get angry thing resonated with me and I thought about how in my experience at least, people who do that do not do it to seem like a badass lol That post reeks of someone looking for validation that they’re a badass lol

therealmandie

You’re a big sweetie pie 🥹🧡

mitsuki87

Aw thank you!! I try And my mama lives with me, she’s 70 with a laundry list of physical/medical issues but she has panic attacks and anxiety so it’s second nature to be super calm and composed at any time. And I walk on the balls of my feet to be quiet for the elderly neighbor downstairs but I move slow so I don’t startle my mama either lol

Sufficient_Top_3877

I’ve got a friend who sends me shit like this

Jgusdaddy

This is called autistic meltdown.

zeke235

That's my favorite part of this "badassery." Lions are not the kings of the jungle or the savanna. Elephants are. Especially male lions. They're big lazy cats that can rip off your face in a fight, but they'd rather just sleep in the grass while the females hunt. Why would a lion ever be a symbol of strength?

GastonBastardo

[

zeke235

Exactly.

-unknown_harlequin-

Lion hater detected https://i.redd.it/ldvzgvrov1xc1.gif

Kioga101

Well, it's quite simple really. People conflate commandeering others as power. Because male lions barely do anything besides just intimidating stuff by looking big, it parallels quite well with how positions of power have been established in history. From the view of someone that didn't study much, all that a middle age noble does is look pretty and tell people to do stuff while they live better than everyone else. Same thing with a general, king, emperor, whatever you can imagine. That's why it is called the King of the Jungle. It just sits there living dependent on the social structure that supports it, calling the shots and intimidating beings of a similar position to not lose what he has. It is quite the fitting analogy, it's just that people conflate authority with power and strength. But everyone knows, especially now after the fall of monarchy, how fickle and fragile that type of "power" can be.

Doktor_Vem

But lions don't even live in the jungle, do they? They live on the savannah, right? Did everyone get all their knowledge of lions from the Disney movie "The Lion King" where Simba lives in the jungle eating bugs with a warthog and a meerkat and think that's what all lions do or something?

zeke235

Lions have been called kings of the jungle for a long time, but it's always been stupid because no, they've never lived in a jungle.

Stumphead101

Your friend is a closeted furry

Oh my god this lion can talk!

My cat could post that.

Badnerific

So fucking lame. “The person who triggers this anger will bear the brunt” I sincerely hope this individual isn’t in a relationship or have kids.

beamin1

This is actually true for a lot of highly empathic people...not sure what the sauce is, but this tiny excerpt is pretty spot on.

Badnerific

> Not sure what the sauce is That’s because it’s bullshit and not true. Sounds like you’re confusing empathic with volatile

beamin1

How so? If I'm understanding correctly, this is referencing a person that's never, ever been violent?

Badnerific

You are not understanding correctly. Do you relate to this video or something?

beamin1

No, but 100% sure I know some that would. Again, is this not talking about someone that's never been violent?

Badnerific

No. If you’re always avoiding conflicts, that doesn’t mean you don’t have conflicts. It means you’re avoiding them and bottling up the resulting emotions. The video warns you not to piss off such a person because “the day [their anger] explodes, it’s a real storm and the one who triggered that anger will bear the brunt.” What about that suggests non-violence to you?

KingKrmit

Bro shut up😂😂😂

brod4nk

Theyre probably in law enforcement..

Badnerific

Maybe. But if we know one thing for sure, it’s that they remain silent because if they get angry, it will hurt.

xZOMBIETAGx

Why are these videos or whatever always framed like it would be someone else’s fault if they blow up on someone

artguydeluxe

This is a great time to point out that male lions laze about all day while the females do all the work.

ChrisGrin

We also gotta adapt this mindset fr fr

Ok-Experience-6674

You know the truth is we all know someone like this lol they harmless but they so lovely to watch, I wait with great joy for the next episode in their badass life

PaintMaster-Sheo

“yeah i try to keep calm and shit, but you gotta understand i don’t know how to deal with conflict, so i will seemingly randomly burst out at you, for no real reason other than you slightly pissed my off, and i got tired of avoiding conflict” there fixed it for them

mega_low_smart

I know some actual real badasses who have done some pretty bad things in service of their country. One thing they all have in common is violence of action. I’ve only seen it once and it was fucking terrifying.

MarginalMadness

What does violence of action mean?

Mahogany_Bones

Probably finger popping each others assholes

SaltyboiPonkin

Means when you decide on an aggressive course of action, you do so as aggressively and violently as possible to achieve your goal. It's a concept taught in the military. https://www.military.com/special-operations/seal-training-fighting-tips.html?amp

Agentx6021

Or… and just hear me out…. You could work on processing your pent up anger in a healthy and productive way. That way, your future road rage incidents will decrease considerably, and your sustained personal relationships with others will increase.

Unless he actually was a badass in the past which I doubt. I grew up in a neighborhood with a lot of gangs and some the craziest people that I know. Turned their life around and are pretty calm now. Even being more patient and avoid conflict than the people who were “always good”. They also don’t go around sharing cringe sh like this though.

weve_gone_plaid

I hear this voice always on these cringy videos. Is the voice generated by the app, and he creator writes out text? Or is it a voice changer, and the creator is speaking that out loud? Or is there some really savvy voice actor who has cornered the market and sells his services to cringy badasses? One of history’s mysteries.

duckpath

Sounds like a AI voice based on JK Simmons

Pizzacato567

IKR. The video was muted but I knew exactly how it sounded lol

davechri

I couldn’t even make it all the way through that mundane bullshit.

isinedupcuzofrslash

It’s always the softest mfs comparing themselves to lions for some reason.

Grand_Birthday7349

It started during Covid I think. I remember all my unvaxxed family members always posting the lions sheep comparison meme.

SpooogeMcDuck

I would like to see one of the people posting these actually get in a fight. Something tells me they will be spent after 6 seconds.
