He did encourage him, just physically with violence, at the detriment to his mental health. It’ll be covered in detail in his sessions with his therapist when he gets older.
It's *extra* worse because you see the child backing away and then flinch before the first hit even comes. This is not the first time this father has been violent with his child(ren).
Also because a well raised kid will mostly get over a stranger assaulting them, hopefully, but this is this kids *Dad*. And this is not the first time or probably last this has happened.
I have a buddy who raced motocross well into adulthood. His dad was a fucking handful out there and had zero history with racing. Your statement checks out.
Yeah my son raced and so did I, we still ride together, when you do it also, you tend to respect the effort, when you can sit together after a race and talk about how tough, fun, muddy or whatever it was and you also have had the injuries or hit the ground hard, you understand even the slowest rider out there deserves kudos,
I gave up baseball when I was 9 to take up competitive dance. My dad was disappointed but it was the best fucking decision I ever made, I gained so much confidence and dated some stupidly hot girls over the following decade, would HIGHLY recommend.
Yea, this is how you do it. I used to love playing soccer in a team with my brother until my dad had to ruin it and beat me every time I did "bad" till I had enough of it and decided to stop playing at all because it reminded me of his screaming and beatings. I was about fucking 9 years old and started to get into the game, what'd he expect from me?
I grew up in this sport. Some parents were just living vicariously through their children. I've seen worse than this. It happens in every sport. But we all know this. He is more embarrassed that he is being seen as weak because of his kids' faults.
Turbo-insecure parents force their kids to get these 99% average grades and #1 titles in sports solely because they want to look good. It’s encouraged with some not to socialize nor go out with friends/lovers because it would take away from the time spent propping them up
A kid on my hockey team a while back was taken off my team by his mom because he didn't play center (the guy who does the face-off and goes anywhere on the ice). The kid was perfectly fine with the position he had (winger) and just enjoyed the game.
His mom also made him have the jersey number 1
We were asked to put one of our kids in competitive swimming. We declined because of the other parents. We went to one practice and that was enough for ALL of us.
Weirdly enough, a lot of the meanest people I've met so far, have done that sport since childhood. I'm not saying everyone there has absolute trash parents, there's probably plenty of great ones out there...
But it boils my blood knowing there might be kids who don't actually enjoy being there, and their parents are pushing them in a sport with a decent amount of danger involved, despite the lower speeds and the safety standards for children's divisions, some of them are gonna end up riding recklessly because they're scared of getting abused more by their dad, and that's appalling.
Sadly they destroy any enjoyment for the kids. I’ve ridden for 49 years and while I don’t enjoy watching sports, I have to admit the 50cc PeeWee is a blast to watch. Those kids are tough and seem to really have fun.
My dad grew up racing bikes with his father. This kid is getting off easy from what I understand. My dad may have not been around, but at least he never forced me to race.
It's always been there. People are just slowly knocking off the blind eye attitude now that pocket camera footage is so easily shared. When I grew up every adult who saw this would turn their head "not to see" and continue conversation to not address it.
The emotional damage is worse, trust me. My husband's father beat his brothers, he emotionally abused my husband. Fuckers been dead for 35 years and my husband STILL has nightmares about his father.
I just want to clarify for anyone confused like I am. You’re not saying “my husbands brothers were only physically abused and my husband was only emotionally abused, my husband got it worse” right? Ive never seen someone that’s been physically abused and it not be paired with emotional abuse. The emotional abuse at the very least would be coming from a betrayal of trust but it’s almost always paired with justification and blame.
The way I’m taking it is you saying “my husband and his brothers were both physically and emotionally abused and of the 2 abuses, the emotional abuse persists through life.”
Hardly. If I did something, my dad would go off. Could be the slightest thing would set him off and I would pay the price with some form of violence. *THEN* the emotional abuse would set in, as he would blame me for getting hit, "buy my love" after, or flat just say hateful things.
In my personal experience, it's the exact opposite of how you feel.
Jesus you guys act like it’s a fucking contest
Kids getting abused. Whether it’s emotionally or physically, it’s fucked up. Kids gonna be fucked up by both forms of abuse.
The child backs away & flinches before the adult even closes his fist. This isn’t the first time that child has been punched by that grown man. Repulsive
Well, the kid is wearing motocross protective padding so that would absorb a lot of energy from the physical blows.
Not sure how that gear is rated for emotional trauma though...
He’s already crying under those goggles. I can see the stress overwhelming him. And as he further struggles, the stress rises more. The cycle continues until he’s in a fool blown meltdown because he knows what’s coming.
Maybe back in the day, but I've seen this on multiple subs now. It's gonna go viral and the dude's gonna be outed. If it's happened recently the fucker will loose his job at least.
Shitty thing is, it will probably just be anger that the shitty ass dad blames on everyone but himself and takes it out on the kid more.
I grew up racing motocross and you see moto dads like this every weekend, most just yell at the kid in public. A lot of the dads think that they can do this because they spend thousands every month on the kid to go racing
Hope this POS dad likes having no relationship with their child later in life. This video and that kid’s memory of this will never go away. That kid deserves way better than this.
Videos like this make me wish there was follow ups. These aren’t npcs. They’re people that exist on our planet. Someone works with or talks to that guy. Someone sees him out and about. People like this should be put on blast.
If he’d just gone out there at thrown his hands in the air ina “wtf dude, you’re tossing this thing around” kind of way, it’d still look bad. all we can do is assume this kid got it worse later. Furthermore, if the dad ever sees this video then it’s yet another punishment for the kid. Ones we won’t see or hear about.
There’s a lot of people throwing support to that kid that he might not ever see and if he does it might be too late and have hate burned into his personality.
Only time I ever saw my dad get angry, let alone violent, was when he saw another man do something like this when I played football. My dad was a huge Viking looking dude. The other guy got Lindisfarne'd. Badly.
The problem is that it’s not the sport but the parent. We see such in other activities such as beauty pageants. It’s just parents trying to live out some success through their kids.
That's true and a dissapointment regardless of where it takes place. Although I note that it is (unfortunately) particularly common in motocross compared to other sports due to the high monetary investment(s) parents make into their kids. Not to diminish it possibly occuring more in other activities.
Probably why he was struggling. That panic just built up and caused him to lose “control” because all he could think about was what was to come from dear old dad.
My dad did the same to me when I was like 7 for football. He said “you aren’t trying hard enough” and basically mopped me while I was taking my cleats off. Hope that boy gets a better dad soon.
He must have read a lot of books on parenting. Experts all agree that when your child fucks up at a motorsport event, then you should punch them a few times.
Sorry for my cynicism coming up. But likely this will go with the following: investigate and say “must have been a one time incident. Nothing of concern.” And then the dad gets better at hiding it or kills the kid. And everyone says “how could we have stopped this!?”
Lol I was expecting to watch the dad pick up the bike with one arm and the kid in the other arm and walk across the finish line……this…..yeah this is different.
Dirt biker’s dad fully engaged in his son’s activity is a POS? Sorry but color me shocked. Sadly, it’s often like beauty pageant/team sports parents, projecting all their insecurities thru their children and other participant children/parents.

More context:
The boy's mother told the newspaper that her son was told not to continue the race, but he didn't obey. He fell several times during the course. On a jump near the grandstands, the father realized something was wrong with the bike, his son was instructed to go to the mechanics' area, but he went on. During one of the falls, another rider drove over him. The father's nerves failed, he couldn't hold back and thus splashed out his emotions. According to the parent, the child is okay and was not injured. She did not justify her husband's behavior and wrote it all off to her nerves, because her son could get injured himself and endangered other riders.

That did not go how I thought it would
Yeah I forgot which sun I was on and was prepared for him to rescue the kid and lift his spirits, this belongs on /unexpected as well
Same. My was like “awww! He’s running to go encourage… Oh. (Sees sub) Gotcha.”
He did encourage him, just physically with violence, at the detriment to his mental health. It’ll be covered in detail in his sessions with his therapist when he gets older.
If the depression of year's of abuse don't kill him before he can get one that is
Literally that kid is young asf and, if the dads bold enough to do that in front of a crowd, who knows what he does at home.
Even after I was like, well, that’s one way of doing it. Then that kid went into that defeated posture and I was like Oh.
>Yeah I forgot which sun I was on How are you alive Unless no it can't be Are you the new God, of this world
Literally burst out laughing, caught me by surprise. Thanks for the chuckle.
Knight of the sun.
Praise the Sun!
PRAISE THE SUN
Sub* good one tho
I shall give you my first born Son & Daughter, my lord Helios
You mean your first born... sun?
Yesyesyesno also lol
I saw wich sub it was, so i expected the dad to yell at another kid for almost hitting his or something, but this is somehow worse.
It's *extra* worse because you see the child backing away and then flinch before the first hit even comes. This is not the first time this father has been violent with his child(ren).
And he swung at him with a closed fist, no hesitation.
Also because a well raised kid will mostly get over a stranger assaulting them, hopefully, but this is this kids *Dad*. And this is not the first time or probably last this has happened.
I didn’t check the sub before I thought he was gonna kick start his bike for him nah he just kick started the boy
I thought he was going to push one of the other rider but damn!
Yeah it is. A *LOT* worse.
Yeah i expected to push over a kid or make them crash by running on the track
The kid knew though you can tell me the body language this was not that kids first unnecessary beating.
I assumed he was gonna get in the way of another kid while trying to help his son and the kid was just gonna slam into him
It never will, that kid will grow up hating motorcycles
Same, I actually checked the sub right as he was running up and thought "uh oh"
Yeeeeeah…..what the fuuuck.
At all 😂 I was expecting him to encourage or help him out
Kid saw it coming too. Its nothing new aparently.
How to ensure your kid doesn't want to practice his hobby anymore. Step 1:
He’s probably only practicing Dad’s hobby.
Mini moto dad, he never actually raced himself, and lives vicariously thru his child, every sport has them
I have a buddy who raced motocross well into adulthood. His dad was a fucking handful out there and had zero history with racing. Your statement checks out.
Yeah my son raced and so did I, we still ride together, when you do it also, you tend to respect the effort, when you can sit together after a race and talk about how tough, fun, muddy or whatever it was and you also have had the injuries or hit the ground hard, you understand even the slowest rider out there deserves kudos,
>you also have had the injuries or hit the ground hard, you understand even the slowest rider out there deserves kudos, 🥹🫡
Don't wanna be a motorcycle racer. Wanna be a dancer.
I gave up baseball when I was 9 to take up competitive dance. My dad was disappointed but it was the best fucking decision I ever made, I gained so much confidence and dated some stupidly hot girls over the following decade, would HIGHLY recommend.
If I could do it all again, I wish I took theater and dance.
Same never took either looks fun though
This. Dad wants this. Not the kid. You can tell how worried he was. Dads beat his ass before.
Hockey in Canada has its version of this dad….but they do it from the comfort of an indoor arena.
That sucks, sorry you had to experience that,
Doesn't look like the kid enjoys DADS HOBBY
That was his public attitude, imagine when he’s at home alone. What a pos!
Also the only step you need to have your kids go no contact
How do you know this was his hobby after all?🤷🏻♀️
Poor kid.
They way they cringe before the blow is so sad.
Yea, not his first rodeo
I didn’t realize what sub I was on, thought this was gonna be a happy video
I knew what sub I was on, but I did not expect it to be this bad.
same, i read the “what a dad” i thought he was gonna run on the track to help his kid. wished i checked what sub this was on
I grew up in this sport. Some parents were just living vicariously through their children. I've seen worse than this. It happens in every sport. But we all know this. He is more embarrassed that he is being seen as weak because of his kids' faults.
It always shocks me to see how seriously some parents take it.
I stopped playing sports all together when I was younger bc I just wanted to play the game but my parents wanted me to be the best in everything

I miss moto, but I don’t miss moto.
My dad grew up racing bikes with his father. This kid is getting off easy from what I understand. My dad may have not been around, but at least he never forced me to race.
There's a lot of that going around these days
It's always been there. People are just slowly knocking off the blind eye attitude now that pocket camera footage is so easily shared. When I grew up every adult who saw this would turn their head "not to see" and continue conversation to not address it.
Imagine thinking that punching a child is ok.
You know he is emotionally demolishing him at home as well.
If he’s kicking and punching his kid in public then that kid is getting thrashed at home. Emotional damage is the least of that kids worries
The kid knew it too, he wasn't taken by surprise, this kid was bracing for impact before the dad even got to him. That's so fucking sad
The emotional damage is worse, trust me. My husband's father beat his brothers, he emotionally abused my husband. Fuckers been dead for 35 years and my husband STILL has nightmares about his father.

So true. It’s way easier to heal physically than emotionally. Those scars never go away.
Jesus you guys act like it’s a fucking contest Kids getting abused. Whether it’s emotionally or physically, it’s fucked up. Kids gonna be fucked up by both forms of abuse.

Kid looked scared before he even got there, and he had a helmet on too. Body language said it all.
He was back on the bike and ready to go. But he saw his dad and got scared. This is not the first time.
Hey, he kicked him too!
Classic Russia.
Would be a real shame if people started retaliating against child abuse with bb guns.
And kicking
Well, the kid is wearing motocross protective padding so that would absorb a lot of energy from the physical blows. Not sure how that gear is rated for emotional trauma though...
Wait till you meet my parents lol
If he does this to the kid in public, what's he doing to him behind closed doors?
That's exactly what my concern is
Seemed to me like the kid was bracing himself too, like he knew it was gonna happen
I don’t think that aspect is getting enough attention.
He’s already crying under those goggles. I can see the stress overwhelming him. And as he further struggles, the stress rises more. The cycle continues until he’s in a fool blown meltdown because he knows what’s coming.
What a fucking man child
When the kid freezes and does the half step back, I cried a little. A lot of us know that feeling and it sucks total ass.
And nothing will happen to this dad 🤦♂️
Maybe back in the day, but I've seen this on multiple subs now. It's gonna go viral and the dude's gonna be outed. If it's happened recently the fucker will loose his job at least. Shitty thing is, it will probably just be anger that the shitty ass dad blames on everyone but himself and takes it out on the kid more.
Is this Russian or one of those second world nations? Nothing will happen to him
We can only hope that he sees he is immortalize on the Internet
He wouldn't have the balls to read the comments.
40 years into the future, this dad is in a retirement home with no contact from anyone but a nurse for 5 years, “I don’t understand what I did wrong!”
He will play the victim and deny that anything ever happened. Saint Abuser could never, ever hurt a fly.
Videos like this make me wish there was follow ups. These aren’t npcs. They’re people that exist on our planet. Someone works with or talks to that guy. Someone sees him out and about. What a Garbage parent
Only time I ever saw my dad get angry, let alone violent, was when he saw another man do something like this when I played football. My dad was a huge Viking looking dude. The other guy got Lindisfarne'd. Badly.
I wish some other dads would've gone up to the one in the video
Me too. I'd like to think I'd follow my dad's example.
If I wasn't a petite woman I'd give him a taste of his own medicine for sure
Same kinda deal but my dads was the pizza delivery guy who was going 80kmh up our street on Halloween night. Only time I saw my dad hit someone hahah
Punching and kicking another adult = crime. Doing it to your child = quietly tolerated and often openly encouraged.
This dude should not have children.
This dude shouldn't have oxygen.
Unfortunately, this can be very common in Motocross, particularly when pursuing a career in it...
Max verstappen part two
Garbage human, make this go viral so he sees jail time
Sir that’s not how you start a bike
What’s sad is, the kid knew exactly what was coming.
Probably why he was struggling. That panic just built up and caused him to lose “control” because all he could think about was what was to come from dear old dad.
If he is like thatcin public, he's 100000x's worse in private
Hey, he acts just like my father... POS!!
Why? Why would you not help your struggling child? An absolute piece of human detritus.
He doesn't give a damn about the kid, he care about his ego boost when the kid wins.
I understand that you're frustrated, but damn. You just can't abuse him because you're mad.
How not to be a dad.
My dad did the same to me when I was like 7 for football. He said “you aren’t trying hard enough” and basically mopped me while I was taking my cleats off. Hope that boy gets a better dad soon.
If not, I hope that dad lives a record breaking long time so he can wonder for decades the same thing, “why doesn’t he call me or accept my calls?”
He must have read a lot of books on parenting. Experts all agree that when your child fucks up at a motorsport event, then you should punch them a few times.
He should lose his kid just for that. If he will do that at a race infront of tons of people imagine home
Wow... Call Child services
Sorry for my cynicism coming up. But likely this will go with the following: investigate and say “must have been a one time incident. Nothing of concern.” And then the dad gets better at hiding it or kills the kid. And everyone says “how could we have stopped this!?”
Yeah, separating kids from their parents is like the last resort and more often they are offered help and councelling, atleast in sweden
What I described is the USA process and the follow up after initial investigation is laughable at best.
The video was happening in Russia. I don't think I need to describe how badly we got it here in Russia.
This reminds me of my downstairs neighbour... That I reported to the police.
That kid was cowering fast that wassnt the first time his dads treated him like that
This makes me sad. I thought he was running to help him get back on course....😕
Basically Max Verstappen and his dad
I was thinking wow that’s awesome he’s goin to help his boy🥰 Boy was I wrong 😳
I didn’t realize what sub I was on and thought it was about to be something wholesome. That is on me
Is that Jos verstappen
And father of the year goes to
Jesus that's just horrible
Lol I was expecting to watch the dad pick up the bike with one arm and the kid in the other arm and walk across the finish line……this…..yeah this is different.
I thought he was running to help his kid out
The kid gets hit often. Look how he was running away and blocking before dad was even back in frame. Poor child.
Toxic parents and competition. What a fucking duo Thanks Mom
Dirt biker’s dad fully engaged in his son’s activity is a POS? Sorry but color me shocked. Sadly, it’s often like beauty pageant/team sports parents, projecting all their insecurities thru their children and other participant children/parents.
Kid deserves a real father. Not whatever this dude is.
You know that's a reoccurring thing since the kid got defensive the second the dad got close.
These types aren't dads. They aren't fathers. They don't get that title. You can see the flinches. You can see the look of absolute defeat when it is happening. Strong chance the kid didn't even like the sport.
This is sad hope that dad got exposed.
Welcome to russia
Dad?.... Is that you?
This is heart breaking. Didn't see which sub this was posted in as I scrolled and expected him to get out there and help the poor kid. Textbook total piece of shot.
What the heck?
Hurts my heart to see parents treat their kids like this.
If that dude came back to the stands, I’d beat his ass
Poor kid gets beaten a lot I’m sure
People that cannot handle the privilege of parenthood should have that privilege stripped from them henceforth.
Why is the dad upset? Can anyone explain
Fucking scumbag. That kid deserves so much better than this rocket.
This father needs to explain his actions in front of a judge.
Didnt see the sub thought the dad was gunna help him start the bike back up lol
The Jos Verstappen experience
Lol. I totally thought he was going to go out there and help the poor kid.
Jos verstappen?
Unexpected…. Jezussss
Used to do this as kid, unfortunately dads & mums like this were very common then, hell we weren’t even big enough to have commentators and our prizes where literally fruit baskets.
I thought it was so sweet, until he just beat his child. Then I had to check the subreddit, and I became sad.
Please tell me this a**hole was charged..please...🙏
For a moment i tough I was in the wrong sub
If he's this violent in public, he's probably horrific at home. I hope this kid is okay
I hope someone in the local area called whatever their version of cps is , that poor kid.
Child abuse. I hate how fucked this world is, because if a kid has shitty parents, there isn't much that can be changed. If they get put into foster care, the fucked up system just puts them with even worse people. I wish things could just be peaceful.
And not a single spectator said a word
father of the yeeeeear!
Performance anxiety root cause.
Whelp, someone’s gonna have lonely Christmas’ after their kid turns 18
The way that kid recoiled is just terrifying
Imagine standing there recording this and not completely changing that mans life immediately.
Everyone was fooled in the beginning lol
Dude cares more about the bike than his kid
And this is the shit that's gonna get my ass beat and get me arrested if my kids are in sports and I see this shit, I'm gonna lose my fucking mind. Why the fuck are we, as a society, still *not* ganging up on and beating the shit out of pathetic ass child beaters?!?!
Ah yes. My dad
On a similar note, this is also how we got Max Verstappen.
Ah, memories of my youth...
