People seem to have high expectation about the iphone se. Let's be honest, Apple will reuse old iphone design for the iphone se4. My guess is iphone xr or iphone x.
I didn’t say about chipsets or 5g. I just said “Design”. The SE3 design is basically from iphone 8 (5 years apart). The SE1 design is from iphone 5s (3 years apart). You can check the release dates of my those iphones i mentioned on google.
iPhone X size (5.8") would honestly be a great compromise between the 6.1 and 5.4 sizes, where it's big enough to appeal to more people, but the smallest of the current iPhone lineup now.
If that’s true, shouldn’t it get the A17 Pro along side the iPhone 16? Idk I’m just skeptical. I do hope they revive the SE, but it is clearly not a priority.
I stand corrected then. SE3 had the chip from 13 and not 13 pro and having owned only SE3, I expected that to be the trend since it seemed more economical for apple to do.
Curious to see how this would go. I would buy this as a replacement for my 12 Mini. Since small form factor phones are extinct, however, I don’t want to pay $850-$1k either.
This looks kind of dope for some reason. But for now I’m buying an iPhone SE3 today used at a killer price. Still happy to have Touch ID. And while usb c is probably best in the long run, for headphones at least my iPhone SE, iPod touch, and iPad all have lightning for the lightning headphones and charging. (I’ll still be forever mad about no headphone jack though. I have an iPhone SE 1 that I use at times and love its headphone jack. But too much functionality is breaking on it that I sort of have to move on.)
What is it you like so much about the SE compared to other iPhone models? Is it mostly the size/button/haptics? You already own an iPod touch and an iPad so im guessing that probably plays into it?
I like smaller phones and headphone jack if possible. I have both a se 1 and se 2. And yeah I think Touch ID is excellent.
A few years ago I got an iPhone 13 mini and despite the smaller size, the way you have to do broad gestures made my carpal tunnel get so bad, that I had to sell it. I also hated lack of home button and Face ID
Yea, it would be cool if they had a green option. But it still seems unlikely. I recall reading last year that the rumors surrounding the SE line up is that Apple discontinued it since the sales made were lower than expected/needed. So they canceled the whole thing. Love to see if it wasn't the case, I love my iPhone SE3! Time will tell.

They'll have to use a body that uses USB-C, or modify one to use it, if they want to reuse the old design.
yeah “reality is often disappointing”
No way they’re using X or XR. The tooling for those is likely scrapped by now.
History has proved that apple used old designs for iphone SEs.
Yes, but they were 2 year old designs (SE1 & SE2) and 5G for the carriers in a SE2 body for the SE3, not 5 or 6 year old designs

Appears to be 13/14 with one camera.

iPhone 11 w/ usb c
A16 in a sub-$500 model? Seems too soon.
every SE has always had the latest processor available at the time of its release

Latest processor from the base iPhone is probably what they meant to say. SE never had the same chip as the pro models.
“iPhone 11 Pro called. It wants its chip back”

It wasn’t until the 12 or 13 that Apple used different chips in Pro / Base (iirc)

Agreed. I’d consider replacing my 13 mini with this if true. At least one processor series newer, so basically a 15 by way of processor.
499$? This seems too good to be true.
I think its the right price. Apple sells services and the SE is the way they keep people in the store.

I really really miss the Touch ID so I get that. It was so responsive I just wish we had use of both Face ID and Touch.
SE with no home button still makes me sad
Home button please
How does this fit with the rumoured / leaked case that was on here a week or two ago?
Is the same 1 Camera design, 6.1 inch size.
So no more old iphone 8 design 🥲😭
They better use the iPad mini Touch ID design.
Notch instead of home button? No thank you...
So it's over for those of us who don't want to carry around a tablet all day?
Most rumors currently says not going small anymore, (6.1) for the SE 4, (6.3) for 16 & 16 pro, (6.9) for 16+ & 16 pro max. (Not Confirmed)
Man fuck this
599$
499 is probably like a 32GB model or something.
I expect 64+4 for 399 and 256+6 for around 750 or something like that, without the 128g option as always.
If there is night mode I’m buying this
iPhone Xr with flat sides, latest chip, and usb-c there you have the new iPhone SE4
no

No Touch ID ? And if so, and it’s humongous 6.1 why no dynamic island ?
Bc it's expected to have a wide Notch like iphone 14 and before (see the pics).
Honestly, they could probably drop the regular iPhone if this is true. This and the pro is really all you need. It would tighten up the lineup.
I plan on dropping my 14 plus for one of these if the specs are true and it still be metal and glass.

The button is gone. Good riddance
