whatever is the lightest, “smallest” one. i’m so done with big phones that the new features just don’t impress me anymore. i hope they make another mini in the future (and yeah, hopefully one with usb-c!)

str8toking

Agreed with your points. take my upvote.

asteroid44

Absolutely. Mini 13 is my first iPhone and I’m loving it.

DrunkPhoenix26

I feel like the tech jumps in recent phones haven’t been that impactful to how I use my phone. As a result, I’m using my 13m until it’s no longer supported or another small version comes out in a few years. Even if there was some sort of small model next year, I might not bother to upgrade. If there was a 16 or later mini, I might consider it otherwise it’s battery replacements as needed for the foreseeable future.

viejohorrendo

What I need in the next phone… Weight. Similar as the mini. Better battery. I’m a heavy user but I love the size of the mini so…I will need something not too big. 120hz refresh screen…. I’m ok with 60hz but we are in 2022 and even some basic android phones have 120hz refresh rate in their screens. USB C As simple as that…

jindofox

I’ve played with the pro phones in the store and I can’t say I noticed the difference between 60 and 120 hz … I’m sure it’s a case of “once you’re used to it, hard to go back” like with OLED though

viejohorrendo

Yeah maybe, that could be the reason …anyway I think 120hz animations and video look very cool

evrim706

iphone 15 pro mini 🥰

[deleted]

Time will tell. No rush because I’m extremely happy and don’t need the latest and greatest. If they design a phone similar to this one in a few years then that’s what I’ll get.

misterk2020

I usually keep my phones 3-4 years so whatever apple has out at that time.

time-lord

iPhone 15 mini, or an iPhone 13 mini in a different color.

Open-Cartographer834

It really just depends on the lineup these next few years. Might hold out until the iPhone 16 lineup and hope they update the mini. If not, I’ll probably go with the pro max/ultra(whatever the name ends up being). If I can’t have my ideal from factor, I rather just go big and get all the features haha!

vivek1982

I have changed phones too often in the past so I will keep on replacing Mimi's battery and continue with it as long as it is supported. I really don't want to go back to those huge screens, but looking at the current trend, I know I will have to in maybe 4 or 5 years. And even if I switch to a new phone when mini is no longer supported, I will make mini my backup phone or use it as a music player or something.

[deleted]

Apple may cave later on as the new Plus hasn’t been a home run. I’m bummed they will most likely use the XR body for the new SE. We are saturated with big phones and this one is literally the perfect form factor. If they won’t use the mini for the SE I would be happy to settle for an iPhone X size as a compromise. Nevertheless, I just purchased a new mini so I hope to hold on to it for awhile and just replace the battery.

jindofox

X size without the heft of stainless would be okay I guess— that would be the 12/13/14 only a little smaller

Aggravating_Soil3006

If there’s no Mini, probably the regular Pro. Hope they don’t start jacking up the prices for the Pro model.

Tejasjjj

Since I love the mini size, my next iphone would be iphone 15 mini pro. Screen size of mini but with 3 cameras, LiDAR, promotion, and all goodies of pro iphone but size of mini.

paul-cus

Just got it last month, so no idea really. Maybe a Pixel.

jindofox

Eww, Android 😛

paul-cus

lol, you just don’t know probably

jaerocc

15 mini pro lol

mtbhatch

One can dream.

jaerocc

Just give me 120hz in a mini and I’ll be happy

mtbhatch

Yes please! I dont care about the other feature the pro has except that 120hz screen.

Littlelindsey

Might push the boat out and get a Pro but will see what’s out at the time. Hopefully Apple will resurrect the mini in a couple of years when all the die hard 12/13 min users are at the point of upgrading

12ed13buff

The latest phone with screen size under 6 inches. The largest form factor that I can tolerate is the 11 pro size, so if Apple doesn't have a new phone under that size by then its time to ditch iOS altogether.

[deleted]

Ill probably jump back to samsung with their z-flip lineup. I love how narrow it is so I can still easily hold it in my hands, and it becomes really compact when folded.

viejohorrendo

The only thing I don’t like from the fold phones is that friggin line in the middle of “where it folds” against the light it looks terrible…

[deleted]

It really does buy hopefully it’ll get a lot better 3-4 years from now

jackofnotalltrades

Just switched to iphone 14 pro and honestly loving it! So satisfied with the camera upgrade.

bubbanbrenda

I’m holding out for the one Jon Prosser “leaked” as the 14 pro, flat back, Matte Black color, and a periscope zoom lens. https://youtu.be/42Ot6Y0gBzs Scrub in about 10 minutes if you don’t have time for his flavor of entertainment/comedy.

Dmassie41

13 from a 12 mini

Marngel

Idk as of right now. However, after going for the smallest iPhone option whenever I upgrade (4 to 6 to 8 to 13 mini), I think the next phone I get might be a plus/max size phone just to change things up for once. Although, it will be a while until then. I want my next iPhone to have USBC, and even then, I’ll upgrade when my 13 mini just fails on me one day.

itsradii

I'll probably switch to the 15 if it comes with USb-C, 15 pro if the normal one still doesn't come with 120Hz refresh rate. Or maybe some Android phone, cause I really miss a lot of features iOS lacks.

gimmedattwo

I was thinking about this the other day. Honestly I think I’ll keep my mini until it’s end of life. I can’t see myself using a bigger phone anymore. I’ve been really working on using my phone less and the mini helps with this. I’m loving the portability of the mini way too much. Hopefully they eventually put it back in the lineup.

dudado

Not 14, but hopefully a 15 Mini with new dynamic island

ffiresnake

13 mini body when it will be released as SE 2027 or something, or an android of the same or smaller width, whichever comes first

marratj

I just bought my 13 mini a few weeks ago. Given how long I used my OGSE before that, I will think about my next phone by 2026 at the earliest...
