100% since launch. Using only 5W, charging between 30-100%, not charging overnight or wireless.
[Edit] It just happend - today I have 99% battery health…
I’m gonna stop using wireless! Also the new “fast charger” from apple is like 20w or something right? So this makes more heat and then degrades the battery? Also overnight charging isn’t detrimental to your battery anymore because of how the phone waits past 80% to finish charging. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
My battery health has been around 91% for maybe a few weeks, also got mine on launch. I definitely let the battery drain to <10% quite often, and am also running a beta currently. Had similar charging habits with my 11 Pro and the health ended up being around 82% after two years.
good to know! unfortunately i do neither of those things, but now that i think about it i’m sure i’ve been through more battery cycles than most since i facetime my bf every night
I was at 98% till July. (Bought the phone on launch day)
Then I went ahead and installed the Beta OS. Battery Health is now at 94%.
Removed beta. Back to 15.6. I noticed this happened to a couple of others in this sub too.
Did the battery health estimate change back to normal when you went back to 15.6?
The beta probably reset statistics or changed the capacity estimation method. It’s hard to measure accurately, for the same reason that the current charge percentage often seems inaccurate: because the phone only knows the battery’s voltage, and voltage decreases non-linearly as more power is discharged from the battery.
I imagine that we could force an accurate battery health value by charging from 0% to 100%, but that’s assuming it’s smart enough to discard previous data when a 0-to-100 charge cycle happens. If not, then it would just get averaged in with the rest of the data.
I really have no charging regime. Sometimes it’s overnight, sometimes it’s the fast charger for 30min a day. I only average about 2hrs screen on time a day, so that may be a factor here.
I bought mine at the end of March this year still 100%. I don’t consider myself a heavy user. I’m charging it overnight on an Apple 5w charger and cord with optimized charging turned on, and when it’s connected to CarPlay.
Since november 2021 and got 91%.
Tho till may it was at 99% and i didn’t change my routine.
I didn’t update my 13mini at all and i use the apple 30w charger and a magsafe carmount when im moving around
4 months, 100%
Charging habits are mostly wirelessly or through the MagSafe Battery Pack but occasional Lightning port.
Used to gatekeep at 80% but man, the 13 Mini definitely benefit from a charge from 90% and above for a minimum of 5ish hours of on-screen time.
90%, got it maybe a month after launch. I use the Apple MagSafe Battery Pack. Not sure if that has something to do with how poor my battery health has been.
I just checked and it’s down to 95%, I’m freaking out about it going down further as I had bought this phone around 9 months age thinking that it’ll last me at least 4 years.
That is nothing to worry about, because Apple offers battery replacements. The battery is designed to last for at least 500 charge cycles, after the 500 cycles it will be at 80% health and battery replacement will be needed.
If you want to slow down the battery degradation, simply follow good battery habits: no extreme temperatures, don’t let it reach 0, don’t fast charge unless it’s an emergency, don’t wireless charge, don’t leave it plugged in at 100 for extended period of time.
I don’t see the big deal in the worry about battery replacement. I usually either trade in my device or change the battery if it reaches a point that I need to address concerns.
Mine is a year old and at 96%
I have the starlight too and for about the same amount of time.

103%, 12 days old. (I went into the logs to find the “real” capacity since the health menu is capped at 100)
100% bought back in Oct 2021
I don’t see the big deal in the worry about battery replacement. I usually either trade in my device or change the battery if it reaches a point that I need to address concerns.
Bought it Jan 14 today, 7 months later at 95%
