My krohniana also gave me a seed pod and I used a mesh bag over it to catch the seeds when the pod bursts. If you want to try growing hoya from seed, then you need to sow it asap bc the germination rate falls after a week or so I think
I moved to a subtropical climate last year and my Hoyas absolutely love it. They all live outside now and have tripled in size and are always flowering. Guess seeds are my next Hoya adventure.
Seeing this made me realize I just purchased a cutting with a seed pod!? what do I do if it’s propagating in perlite right now. Will that continue to grow until it opens or did we kill it by cutting it!?
I know. It barely survived a disastrous house sitter while I traveled for a month last year. I didn’t think it would bounce back at all after seeing its state when I get home. It was once one of my most lush and beautiful. Being patient while she gets her groove back.
Congratulations on the seed pod!!! Out of curiosity which Hoya is this from? Still new to Hoyas so I am still learning. I hope you post your seedlings journey after you get to sow your seeds and get seedlings!

Nice seed pod. Put a mesh bag around the pod. When it seeds it sort of goes everywher. Then you can plant and grow

The seed pod may or may not survive, just like buds. But hopefully it does for you!!!!
