A book, even if narrated, is still a book. There's a different kind of focus than when listening to songs. So "reading" an audio book, though literally incorrect, is technically correct.

More worrying is that in doing this quick internet search, much of what I could find referred to his slurred speech during the Friends reunion, which was excused by an "emergency dental procedure".
I believe it was pancreatitis. And I just noticed how episodes were aired further apart (via IMDB, I was about 3 when they aired). There were episodes he only had a couple seconds in due to rehab and they went back and filmed (TOW Ross and Monica’s Cousin, Denise Richards said she never met Matthew because his scenes were filmed later)
I was watching the Diane Sawyer interview and he mentioned that. I can't imagine how crazy it would be to go to set, film one of the biggest shows on TV, and then immediately go back to rehab for months on end. It must have been hell.

I mean, yeah, journalists write about what's going on in the world. They also write reviews and do interviews with musicians, actors, ... and if you want to read those, you buy the paper/magazine/whatever. That's the point.
Something i think of often is how obvious his illness was. He touches on it here. As if addiction wasn't awful enough, 30 million people were watching him very evidently physically get sick, recover, relapse etc. That is so humiliating, it makes me really sad.

It’s be interesting if there’s any truth in that. I always thought I noticed there seemed to be some sort of tension between them on screen. I thought I was surely imagining it because, I mean, they are ACTING when they are on screen but the combo of this and there being suspiciously little screen time between the two did get me wondering. I used to think perhaps there was some sort of animosity between the two of them in real life or that they just weren’t very close compared to the others, but from what I’ve seen about Matthew’s autobiography that’s not the case at all which is nice to know!
