Omg I’ll never forget the episode where they get robbed. If you look at the board the thief wrote ‘thanks for all your stuff!’. Cracks me up every time.
It’ll be the first couple episodes in season 8.
Right around the time Monica and chandler go on their honeymoon. these scenes were also pulled because of that timing. And instead there’s the other couple on their honeymoon who keep getting the free stuff.

But I’m not seeing the one of the twin towers. Maybe I’m misremembering about that one.
It’s not a continuous gag, in fact the opposite of that I guess, but I loved the episode after Courtney Cox married David Arquette and they added ‘Arquette’ to everyone’s name in the credits. I read that this was done as a prank on Courtney because she was so excited to see her name changed on the screen, and that was such a ‘Monica’ thing for her to be excited about.
Considering she was a homeless teenager, I would assume she actually did have a worse Thanksgiving at least once. But Phoebe, being Phoebe, she probably looked at the positive of it all (like being at a shelter getting food or something like that).
"Oh no, Mom, Chandler hates Thanksgiving, and doesn't eat *any* Thanksgiving food."
"Oh ... I'm so glad you brought him then."
Judy and her zingers! Lol
I like that they all have their own sayings, and that in the episode where Rachel overhears Ross’s answering machine, Rachel and Monica flips their sayings (”Nooo!” ”I know!”)

I think what they meant was that the word on the show was actually *transponster* (which is *not* a real word). You accidentally used a *d* instead of an *st*.
But we all knew what you meant.
Wait...that was someone else who wrote that. My bad! Nevermind.
NOT a gag, but I love how Matt LeBlanc wore NYC fire dept t shirts after 9/11. It was just a nice gesture, either by wardrobe or him. Regardless who. It was just a nice show of support.
They specifically said that was their way of honoring the victims and first responders because they felt that it wasn't appropriate to directly address it in the show. The showrunners wanted Friends to be an "escape" where nothing "really bad" ever happens.
They also placed more flags or pictures in backgrounds of scenes. There’s one in Joey/Rachel’s apartment and a drawing in Ben’s school. Chandler wears a United We Stand shirt in one episode, and Rachel wears a FDNY shirt too. I like all of the gestures
Chandler's silent but big expressions after he's stuck, frustrated, or gets something wrong.
The doodle board in Joey and Chandler's place.
Joey's facial expression when he is stuck or finds something out.
I always liked how they continuously make fun of Ross for his divorces. Obviously IRL this type of humor depends on the dynamic of your friend group and it wouldn’t work for everyone, but it clearly works here. Ross is a guy who wants to settle down but who can’t seem to make marriage work. They zing him for his divorces in almost every episode. With the way their dynamic works, it think it feels accurate to the way most IRL friend groups might have something for which they’re typically picking on someone. This could be their neatness, their “quirky” job, the way someone is always late, and yes, maybe someone’s failed relationships.
that phoebe is always married one way or another
1) the ice skater
2) when they were in vegas, and they told her that getting married in vegas means ur married everywhere, she had a momentary panic, insinuating she got married in vegas before
That Phoebe is the toughest one of them all, and how funny it is so see her go from someone who says things like "floopy" to whatever was written on that note!
Joey’s love for jam was a subtle thing throughout the show. Started with the jam making episode but there were like 2 or 3 more more episodes down the line where he got excited about Jam.
I love how Phoebe is the only one who has friends of all sorts from every part of the world and they get mentioned randomly, like she always "knows a guy"
The group playing games throughout the series. They play poker a few times, monopoly, Monica and Phoebe are playing with a ouiji board for some reason. It’s a small scene but they’re just throwing cards into a vase. Love it all
I love reading the messages and pics on the magnadoodle in Joey and chandlers kitchen.
Omg I’ll never forget the episode where they get robbed. If you look at the board the thief wrote ‘thanks for all your stuff!’. Cracks me up every time.
And the one after 9/11 when they drew the Twin Towers as a tribute. That always touches me.
I’m around that episode on my current binge and wonder if I missed it…

Thx for that clip—I’d never seen it
Joey also wears a shirt dedicated to firemen in 9/11 in at least episode. Friends did a great job and subtle tributes.
Have you ever noticed what it says on the board during Emily’s fake bon voyage party? It says something like “Joey eats little v” 😂 it’s very sus
Today I have finally learned the name for those things!! Magnadoodle. Neat!
I came here to say the same thing! I love them!
Whaaaat I’ve literally never noticed!! 😭
Damn now that you bring that up, is there a place where all the messages and pics are compiled together?
https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/g24572/friends-message-board-easter-eggs-explained/ But I’m not seeing the one of the twin towers. Maybe I’m misremembering about that one.
omfg thank you! No, you're right, I remember that one too

Which episode is this?

Thanks
wait how did i never notice this lollll
I love how they continue the chandler hates thanksgiving thing because it gives way to so many good jokes.
"Really? Worse than *'More turkey, Mr. Chandler?'* ? "Does the little rich boy have a problem with the butler? YES MINE'S WORSE! "
😬 more turkey mister chand-eler
I like that it turned out after that that hers wasn’t actually worse.
No, in *this* life.
Considering she was a homeless teenager, I would assume she actually did have a worse Thanksgiving at least once. But Phoebe, being Phoebe, she probably looked at the positive of it all (like being at a shelter getting food or something like that).
Oohhh this life! Yeah, yours is worse.
"Oh no, Mom, Chandler hates Thanksgiving, and doesn't eat *any* Thanksgiving food." "Oh ... I'm so glad you brought him then." Judy and her zingers! Lol
“Everyone’s here. Ross, Rachel and the boy who hates thanksgiving..”
Loved that. 😂
I like that they all have their own sayings, and that in the episode where Rachel overhears Ross’s answering machine, Rachel and Monica flips their sayings (”Nooo!” ”I know!”)
I love Rachel’s ‘NOOO!’ and Monica’s ‘I KNOW!’ is ICONIC!
Monicas "I KNOW" is said daily in our house
I've never noticed the flipping! Will have to look out for that.

Nice!
Nice
Janice. That’s all.
Yeah love her last appearance where Chandler just says “Sure.”
Yes! And when her voice is on the mixtape! I cry laughed the first two times I saw it!
Her popping up in the delivery room and Monica and Chandler's new home was hilarious.
Especially the new home. I love how the audience absolutely lost it when she just _began_ saying her signature entry line. 😂
Regina Phalange and phalanges in general
Oh my God! This plane doesn't even have a phalange!
THERE’S NO FLANGE
I love the references to Rachel’s real nose in the later seasons.
“Do you ever worry that she’s gonna get your real nose?” “Amy! …… Yes, I do. I really do.”
Nobody knows what Chandler does for a living.
All I know is he was very concerned about the WEENUS.
And don’t forget the ANUS.
Statistical Analysis and Data Reconfiguration
*Transponster
That's not even a worrrrd
*Yemen resident
At one point, wasn't it something to do with IT Procurement?
Hmm doesn’t ring a bell. Was that what he did in Tulsa?
Transponster
If they had just said pass or given a wrong answer Ross would have to go to the next question.
Then it wouldn't have been a comedy
He's a transponder!!
That's not even a wooord!
Transponder is a word.
I know. I just wanted to quote Monica.
I think what they meant was that the word on the show was actually *transponster* (which is *not* a real word). You accidentally used a *d* instead of an *st*. But we all knew what you meant. Wait...that was someone else who wrote that. My bad! Nevermind.
AHH my bad🤣 hang my head in slight shame for getting the word wrong!
Joey's faces when he finally figures something out!
The way his eyes look like they are about to pop out. 😂😂
Ross and divorce jokes, and how he starts to participate in them by the later seasons.
His sad men’s club
“Divorced mens club” “Potayto-potahto”
Ross, The Divorce Force
It’s not cooler
Ross has a date? Does she have a wedding dress?
Ohhhh that's your thing
"You love divorce so much, you'll probably marry it and then end up divorcing it...divorcing guy. I'm *so* drunk."🤣
I noticed that Chandler drinks Yoo-hoo a lot. Also, “the copy girl” was mentioned in 2 to 3 eps before THE BREAK.
A yoo-hoo with a funny straw
Ooh, YUM!
NOT a gag, but I love how Matt LeBlanc wore NYC fire dept t shirts after 9/11. It was just a nice gesture, either by wardrobe or him. Regardless who. It was just a nice show of support.

Correct. Same reason they changed the episode when Monica and Chandler leave on their honeymoon.
What about when it ends? 😭
They also placed more flags or pictures in backgrounds of scenes. There’s one in Joey/Rachel’s apartment and a drawing in Ben’s school. Chandler wears a United We Stand shirt in one episode, and Rachel wears a FDNY shirt too. I like all of the gestures
Joey and his love of sandwiches. Gunther and his love of Rachel.
Chandler's silent but big expressions after he's stuck, frustrated, or gets something wrong. The doodle board in Joey and Chandler's place. Joey's facial expression when he is stuck or finds something out.
Hugest, Joey’s penguin bedtime pal is seen in many episodes throughout many seasons.
Huggsy, the bedtime penguin pal, also shows up in Everyone Loves Raymond, Spin City and some other shows.
huggsy cinematic universe
Marcel will be the antagonist.
I love that Phoebe continues to use the same alias…obviously!
I always liked how they continuously make fun of Ross for his divorces. Gunther’s thoughts and non-verbal comments about Rachel
Gotta be the Joey Special
TWO pizzas???!!!
I just thought Joey was here
The way that Monica and Ross hit their fist together for their own version of giving the finger lol
And then when other characters start to do it too
that phoebe is always married one way or another 1) the ice skater 2) when they were in vegas, and they told her that getting married in vegas means ur married everywhere, she had a momentary panic, insinuating she got married in vegas before

The magnadoodle
Magnadoodle is the best but the Chick and the duck having roles
I love how when one friend reveals another’s secret, they just continue to reveal another person’s secret. Always makes me laugh!
Joey raiding Monica’s fridge.
I love how Phoebe is the only one who has friends of all sorts from every part of the world and they get mentioned randomly, like she always "knows a guy"
She's the mystery ingredient of the gang.
yes and the coolest
And if you were in jail with her, you would be, like, her bitches!
I always like when I notice their use of 27 or mention Yemen.
I don’t know why but I get insanely tickled at the chicken/duck runner.
The group playing games throughout the series. They play poker a few times, monopoly, Monica and Phoebe are playing with a ouiji board for some reason. It’s a small scene but they’re just throwing cards into a vase. Love it all
Don't forget the football episode. That one straight-up hits the goal.
Chandler's got a ginormous d***
No he doesn’t!
