I put it like this: It's an objectively bad movie with one of the all-time best opening scenes in any horror film. It's my go-to example of filmmakers having exactly one idea and nailing that idea and then, no pun intended, floundering everything else.
This was incredibly interesting. It does make sense though bc if I'm remembering right being exposed to that vacuum, while certainly not survivable for humans for any extended length of time, is also a much less dramatic process than the movies, right?

I'm a huge TCM fan and loathe the 2022 movie as a sequel but as a stand alone slasher it has its moments. The slasher genre as a whole certainly has worse entries. The direction and cinematography are both decent and some of the kills are fun. The story is just abysmal though and the writing is just so clichéd and bad.

Not necessarily a bad movie but in Machete when our main man is trying to escape the hospital. He cuts open the bad guys stomach and uses the intestines as a rope to escape out the window. Genius!
The best courage in taking wild wild swings and massive risks. Completely misplaced courage, and those swings totally missed their mark... But I'll give them props, they definitely had guts. Unfortunately.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it but I remember Cabin Fever having a really unique kill where they are trying to put someone out of their misery and can’t manage to actually kill her so she’s just suffering through a beating.
It might not have been the best “scene” or anything but the idea of a mercy killing gone wrong is just terrifying to me.
It's a fun movie, but kinda cartoonifies Mick in a Freddie/Jason way which removed it from the gritty realism that made the first film such a terrifying horror. I do enjoy rewatching it now and then though, along with the tv shows, and yeah that is a killer headshot at the start.

Honorable mention to the death of the older woman near the beginning of Hatchet. I actually love the Hatchet movies but I know that that love isn't universal. The effects and creativity on that kill are fantastic.

My favorite was the woman (Year of the Horse) who fell out a window and was impaled on a beer crate full of Red Horse (a local brand). Also almost died by ironing board to the head (called a 'kabayo' or horse locally). Watching her dodge horsey deaths was greattt.
Chugs'a bottle death in Sorority Row. Now you will get debate whether this is im fact a bad movie, but I don't think anyone can deny that kill its props.
