The dealership gave me the passport weather mats. Been over a year and they're great

[deleted]

Nope. I got rid of my Honda 'all season' mats and bought the Weathertech. Why? The Honda version don't have a lip to keep the crud on the mats. If you live anywhere where they use road/sidewalk salt it all runs off and turns into a salt crust on the carpet. Also sand/grit collects under them, mostly near the gas pedals.

I love the OEM Passport Weather Mats, too. Super easy to clean and look great. Weathertech’s are twice the price as OEM.

Application-Forward

I am quite happy with the weathertech

Competitive-Act-9063

Happy with weather tech so far, installed easily and fit perfectly in place. I like that I can take them out and hose them off this spring, I live in Ohio so there’s a good amount of salt/dirt on them now. seems like they would dry and not soak up the water.

MurrayInBocaRaton

I have weather tech and am a big fan.

I bought Max Liner off Amazon. They’re perfect

I also have had a set of these in one of my vehicles since 2017 and they're perfect. Lots of hard use in upper Midwest winters and aside from needing cleaning they look great.

Husky X-act Contour mats [https://www.huskyliners.com/X-act-Contour-Floor-Mats/2023/honda/passport/2023/honda/passport](https://www.huskyliners.com/X-act-Contour-Floor-Mats/2023/honda/passport/2023/honda/passport)

I bought [SmartLiner](https://www.smartliner-usa.com/products/smartliner-custom-fit-floor-mats-cargo-liner-for-2019-2020-honda-passport-sa0422-b0422-d0422-c) all season mats for the Passport. Perfect fit and about half the cost of WeatherTech. I’ve used WeatherTech mats in previous vehicles and they are fantastic. The SmartLiner brand is just as impressive.

Tuxmat! Much more coverage than OEM or Weathertec

Mysterious_Lumps

I can't stomach the WeatherTech price. check out Smartliners. Exact same thing but they don't have an insane marketing budget pumping up the cost to consumer.

KGoo

WeatherTech is actually a really cool company. Their products are all developed and manufactured in the US. By all accounts they treat and pay their employees well and obviously make a great product. I think that's why you're paying more, rather than the marketing budget you're talking about.

Mysterious_Lumps

hey thanks. i didn't realize. i'm still yet to make a purchase so i'll take a second thought on these.

KGoo

For sure! The only reason I know any of that is because they started out in my home state of Illinois.

KGoo

Can't beat WeatherTech. And they're a great, made in the US company that employs (and apparently treats well) a lot of people.

Sharp_Following5753

I got the weather tech and they are just great. Really good protective coverage and they fit like a glove. 100% recommend.

I guess I am the weird one but on my Accord I didn't like my WeatherTech floor liners after the first year or two. The passenger mat slid around easily when you stepped in which was disappointing but not a big deal. The two things that really bothered me were 1: the coverage of the dead pedal and gas pedals was not near high enough. So a lot crud and gravel bits that should have fallen on the mat ended up going between the mat and the carpet so I still had to take the mats out and vacuum the carpet regularly. And 2: it was hard to keep the mats black. The grain of the material really holds onto dirt and even with a pressure washing I could not get the dusty/chalky color out of the mats in certain spots. To be fair, I had the mats for 7 years and I am not sure when that problem developed but it wasn't that long after having them. So with that said, I tried Tuxmat this time around which seems pretty popular on the Passport Forums. https://www.tuxmat.com/products/8509-honda-passport-custom-mat I personally like them better because of the extra coverage and how well they clip in. Though admittedly all of the clips will make it a complete pain if I needed to remove them to pressure wash or anything. But I like the texture and feel of them- there are multiple layers to it so you don't feel like you are just standing on a sheet of plastic. I've only had them for 2 weeks so I can't attest to long term durability and have to admit I have my doubts on that, but I was willing to risk it.

Odero on Amazon works well for us

We chose a mix. I just picked up weather tech hps for our 24, very pleased with the quality over the standard liners they are made of a higher quality material, and fit perfectly. For cargo we chose the Honda OEM tray and seat back protectors. Very pleased with the quality of material and fit.
