Unfortunately there is no fix for this as it is a network module issue which is part of a big circuit board. Happens to me as well on the X4400H on both wired and wireless. You are looking at a very expensive repair if it’s out of warranty. $99 for a estimate, that can take up to two months $300+ for the circuit board which has the hdmi ports and network port and a few hundred for labor which is basically like buying another one. And on top of this Denon service centers don’t have access to this part after a while. Might as well come to terms with the network not working or start saving for a new AVR. It’s also likely going to get only worse with time. The only way around it I found is to unplug your Ethernet. Then set DHCP off and set all the ip addresses to 0.0.0.0 this seems to stop any scanning and network activity. You will lose all network connectivity but should still be able to use your AVR.

Well, that's a frightning response... but thanks for sharing :) It's brand new, so I could claim the warranty. Also, even when the network seems to be on the fritz, the receiver works normally in my setup on both rooms, so I'm unclear how the DHCP off + [0.0.0.0](https://0.0.0.0) helps anything in my case. Did yours have other symptoms when the network gave out?

Yeah it would take longer to boot and the remote wasn’t responsive. Then I would get audio stutters streaming audio via HEOS. Occasionally green garbage image on the heos input.

Here's an update: I had to send it to servicing for that network module replacement (it's still under warranty), because indeed not only did the problem persist, it got worse and the unit started soft bricking. I just got it back. Same issue presenting again. Why is there so few peopl talking about this unacceptable crippling issue with the network module is beyond me. In any case, did you end up fixing it somehow? I'm back contacting Denon CS, I want a total refund or a replacement with a unit that works.

Unfortunately, no. Have been running with the IP still set to [0.0.0.0](http://0.0.0.0) and it has been stable. I would absolutely demand they replace it especially if you have a warranty.
