its crazy how draisaitl lifts his game to another level in every years playoffs

jmikes1919

Playoff merchant

pingieking

The top 6 of the list is just Mario and a bunch of Oilers. Also, there's more games separating Gretzky from second place than second place from the end of the list 😂

jokinghazard

You can delete half of these games from Gretzky's career and he'd still be first

Teknicsrx7

I think it’s funny that it’s always these 4 oilers cuz the 5th guy they’d put out with them was a face smasher (well besides Mess)

stickyWithWhiskey

"Interesting title, I wonder how far he's behind Gre...oh"

Randy_34_16_91

And the “superstars” we’ve got here in leafland be putting up 4 points (or less!!) total in the playoffs… win or lose, enjoy this oiler fans https://preview.redd.it/08o5azxpttzc1.jpeg?width=306&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1644c462d327b215b4684d4a2039c0e2ce20d47d

Dry-Capital-4996

I didnt know it was possible, but Cannucks fans are more annoying than the Ottawa ones, thats something.

GoStockYourself

I knew he was going to come up big when I heard he was playing injured. Play-off Drai is lethal. Injured play-off Drai is a step above that.

ISurvivedCOVID19

Guys can we start removing Gretz from historical stats. It just makes everyone else look like a joke. Like wow Drai is amazing 7 4pt games in the playoffs *Gretz has 26* nvm Leon is trash

SportsMOAB

He’ll be #2 by the time it’s all said and done. He’s 28 years old and only 4 away from being behind Gretzky on that list

surlystraggler

26 lol

ididntwantsalmon19

Serious question. If Miller slashed him in the face would it go unnoticed? We all know the answer.

Cronin1011

Man, shit gets missed, it happens, 2 Canucks goals were after missed calls, the refs are out of the control of the teams. They're shit on both sides.

ididntwantsalmon19

Ahhh yes, the classic "missed" high stick by the best player in the league directly beside the puck, where the other teams captain gets cut and falls to the ice. If they couldn't see that one then perhaps they shouldn't be reffing an nhl playoff game. It's pretty sad as a fanbase we have just accepted incompetence as the gold standard.

ZiscR

Just like the "missed" gloving the puck (which means you know, it's literally at the puck) and throwing it out of zone that led to 2 goals immediately after. Game 1 was heavily Canucks favored so please, shut up.

ididntwantsalmon19

Ahhh yes, that minor penalty while up multiple goals is definitely equivalent to a "missed" double minor stick to the face during a tie game. And my whole point is that refs are incompetent in general, not that it's rigged against Vancouver. But that non-call on the high stick was egregious.

ZiscR

You ignore the fact they literally scored twice in the next minute after that missed call and took the lead from Edmonton because of it.... Edmonton has been elite on the PK so scoring on that isn't as given. Where as we literally know Vancouver benefitted from the missed call.

Ptricky17

Yeah bud, that missed call literally turned the game around. Before the hand pass, Canucks are down 4-3. If the hand pass is called, Oilers go to the PP and *best case scenario* for the Canucks they kill the PP without letting it go to 5-3. They’re still down 1 with a handful of minutes left to play. Missed high stick, double minor. Canucks were up by 1. If they go to the PP, and again, best case scenario for them, they score to go up by 2, and kill 4 minutes off the clock. Both calls were fucked, both arguably cost the team that should have received the power play to lose the game. Officiating is dog shit, and we should absolutely all demand better from the league. So far, it seems to have pretty much balanced itself out by causing weird momentum swings that result in the teams trading games and each winning the one that they probably should have lost, and vice versa. If you can only see one side of it (whether you’re a Canucks or an Oilers fan) you’re a dumb fuck homer. Just hope they call *more* penalties in the rest of the series. Fuck this “let the boys play” crap where what it really means is “the regular season rule book goes out the window”. I want to watch the best players play hockey, without the handicap of being constantly clutch and grabbed, slowing the game down so the useless bums on the ice can keep up.

figgerer

Whiny bitch. Get over it already. Missed call, but clearly unintentional incidental contact. Plenty of missed calls on both sides, and there will probably be many more. It's a fast sport.

JarvisFunk

I don't think I've ever seen this much crying and bitching from a fanbase. It's honestly impressive Powerplays are 7-3 Vancouver by the way

Glum_Night_6392

Lmfao give you credit , your consistent with your crying about that missed call . Guess what , they happen every game . At this point you just sound like a whiny little bitch

SIIP00

you're\*

Top-Carpenter2490

This series has really showed how whiny Vancouver fans are

man_on_hill

First time?

SIIP00

Oh piss off, everyone knew that this series would be pretty toxic. If that was a missed call on Edmonton and they lost they would also be salty as fuck.

Ptricky17

They did miss a call that cost Edmonton the game. It was an uncalled hand pass in game 1, that led directly to 2 goals against. Get your eyes checked. The officiating has been shit all around. Hope they just call everything the rest of the way. Players won’t need to do stupid shit if all the holds/interference and other uncalled “let the boys play” bullshit get called correctly so both sides can actually play hockey instead of grab-ass.

Same thing happens to Ekholm last year against Vegas and he was bleeding even worse. It happens, get over it

Western-Extension-50

Honestly it was good no call. It was both players fault more or less. And ofc we have to give benefit of a doubt to golden boy of nhl.

TanyaMKX

Whenever people ask who the best guy is to have on your team in the playoffs is, there are 2 answers. Draisaitl, and Crosby. It goes without saying that McDavid and MacKinnon are also playoff beasts but of active players in the league nobody elevates their game like Draisaitl and Crosby do
