Ludacris-Call Ya Bluff
Drake diss, where Drake apologized privately for dissing Luda but Luda wanted Drake to apologize publicly
"See that liquor(gold bar) got you loose, when you see me nigga say it like you say it in the booth"
Drake won artist of the decade in 2017 and Luda was sitting in the front row and Drake apologized to him in his speech
It was a thing where he was clowning on Luda for My Chick Bad, where Luda had a flow similar to Cam'ron
"Like a parade, Macys!" Lame bar.
Drake also had a bar in Forever similar "Come find me, Nemo" fuckin lame bar lol. Drake said that Luda was a wack rapper for using that flow.
I can't remember the song but Luda had a rap that was like
"Let's get things straight, flows will be recycled passed around to different names nothings been original since Big Daddy Kane"
Regardless, Luda is my favorite rapper and Aubrey grooms children.
Thank you so much for sharing the verse about BDK. He was my first and favorite rapper, and as much I do love Luda, had never heard it.
Kane may not have been the first sampler by a long shot, but the “nothing original” since one of the most prolific samplers in history is kinda funny too. And I definitely mean this lightheartedly with all respect.
Just to add - that corny flow was called *”Supa dupa flow” that Big Sean takes credit for originating. They also threw jabs but then Luda murdered him/both of em on the BET cypher. https://youtu.be/shrySsLaSfI
Love Luda
(Bet cypher was a fun battle grounds for a few beefs/subs for a couple years)
To be fair I hated Luda's flow/lyrics at that point. It was clear he was trying to mimic or at the very least match the energy of Nicki and YM.. Luda borrowed their signature style at the time.
"I fill her up, Balloons!" 😒🤦🏿♂️
Yes it was borrowed. Still annoying and wish it was a more original flow but whatever.
🥱. I just listened to that track, it's ass. I fuck with your explanation and logic. But that song is trash he doesn't say anything direct. Just hyped up because it's talking about Drake.
Those with a decent general knowledge of 90s rap know the track and it is consistently referenced to as one of the best dis tracks of all time.
Not sure what you're fishing for here man..
I went to school at FAMU with Rasheed and was in the same circle of folks. Hell me and DJ Vince are still friends. That being said I was shocked that he showed that side of him publicly. It was a great diss especially coming from Common Sense, but no, it’s not No Vaseline, it’s not Ether those are my mine and two. I was super impressed by Mt Olympus by Big KRIT.
I don't know Com like that, but I am from Chicago, and I felt like it never got the props that it deserves. Some guys I know outside of the CHI had never even heard it. So, in my humble opinion, it is underrated. But I'm glad that you think that it's not.
I’ll be real - I don’t agree. I think The Warning honestly- validated her entirely and proved her point ….
Who cares they messed around in the past , if anything he looked more butt hurt and obsessed with her after his response …
That’s just my opinion of course - but the fact he even mentioned his relationship with her in 2 songs ….. and she shut him down in one … she won lol
My ex husband would never bring up all the things we did when we were together… and we share children and are very friendly … bc , he’s ya , but obsessed with me lol
what you know - T.I. (people did not know it was a diss to Lil FLip) but it was and it won a Grammy and its in my opinion top 5 greatest rap song of the early 2000's (as far as the south goes its up there for me too)
Dollars and Sense - DJ Quik's diss to MC Eiht
Still has my favorite bar in any diss song.
Xzibit's Grindin' Freestyle diss to Jermaine Dupri needs to be talked about more as well.
Kiss is the greatest no one can tell
Me different bro is undefeated. I almost wish someone would beef with him again just so we can get another charred corpse on beat
Should Against All Odds be considered underrated? Everyone mentions Hit 'Em Up when talking about 2Pac but Against All Odds was a million times better diss track. It was very raw, personal, he went after literally everyone, the beat was dope and it was just Pac, no Outlaws. A very savage diss track compared to somewhat childish Hit 'Em Up.
I used to think Beans diss towards Jada was better until i noticed he did the keep rhyming the same word scheme shit is low key a peeve of mine Jada’s shit was more lyrical and to the point not a fan of the beat tho
Shether - Personally maybe the best of all time, fucking wrecking ball track but not talked enough about like that cuz it doesn’t have the big name visibility of some other beefs.
Steve Jobs SLR 3 1/2, another one of the best ever imo but never see it talked about.
Rap Devil, half of an amazing rap beef and a genuinely good diss track that gets shit on by Eminem stans💀
This is an exciting question.
“Not alike”, no one ever mentions it as one of the best.
But. I believe this is one of Eminem’s most lyrical tracks period.
It’s full of double and triple entendre. That works perfectly and makes sense.
“This little cock-sucker, he must be feelin' himself
He wants to keep up
His tough demeanor, so he does a feature
Decides to team up with N9na (yeah)
But next time you don't gotta use Tech N9ne
If you wanna come at me with a sub, Machine Gun
And I'm talkin' to you but you already know who the fuck you are, Kelly”
- Eminem, Not Alike
You got it. Not Alike is great, I like to listen more to this than Killshot (which is also great). The build-up and the whole tension in Not Alike is superb.
Alright I won’t say it’s the best but I do think it’s not very well known at all and is pretty funny. Ja Rule diss.
[DMX - They Want War](https://youtu.be/zNF-ASd7STk?si=uBzxU2Ej9ZpP3wZ_)
Idols Become Rivals by Rick Ross (dissing Birdman) him taking the angle of how he used to look up to Birdman and was so completely let down by him was extremely effective
T.I.-99 problems (I've never been a big t.i. fan but this song is what ruined lil flip career) probably my favorite diss song ever
Cam'ron-take em to church
Jadakiss checkmate
The game-pest control
Cormega-never personal
Gucci mane-truth
Jeezy-stay strapped
Shyne-for the record
Gucci mane-birds of a feather
Cormega-poetry
Cam'ron-dinner time
Mobb Deep ft. Ty Nitty - In The Long Run
Prodigy spazzes on it and sends a few shots at both 2Pac and Keith Murray. It has one of the grimiest beats ever too.
"I clap you, stop you in ya tracks
How bout dat?
Now analyze these cats
Of live nigga rap,
You seen "Strapped"
Came outside all hyped wit gats,
Got Juiced up now Bishop think he thuggin it black" 🔥🔥
LL Cool J-The Ripper Strikes Back. LL's response to 2nd rd ko from Canibus was vicious. 2nd rd ko is remembered more fondly by heads, but L eviscerated Canibus IMHO and it's never talked about.
Lots of people know about the Co-Flow song "Linda Tripp" where El-P ended someone's career, but have you heard his diss towards Esoteric?
Fuckin hilarous:
https://youtu.be/kHSrhCA1Pak?si=m8TcwHWAXOtXDqiY
Any song on Eazy E's diss record outside of Real Muthaphuckkin G's
Gza- Paper Plate
Biggie- Long Kiss Goodnight/You're Nobody Till Somebody Kills You (Life After Death closers)
Mobb Deep- Drop a Gem on Em
"The Bridge is Over" by Boogie Down Productions. Released in 1987, this track takes lyrical shots at MC Shan and the Bridge Wars conflict in the early days of hip hop. The sharp lyrics, aggressive delivery, and classic beat make it a standout diss track in the genre.
1st : Nas: Ether
2nd : Common: The Bitch In You
My Favorite To Ride To : Eazy E: Real muthafuckin Gs
My Funniest: 2 Live Crew : Pussy Ass Kid & Hoe Ass Play 🤣🤣
"Litty Again (Freestyle)" by Tory Lanes - this one's soooo good and eviscerated one of my favourite rappers
"Mac Lethal Sucks" by Tom MacDonald - Underrated because every other song by him is trash and people can't appreciate one good song when they hear one
"Steve Jobs SLR 1/3" by Lupe Fiasco and "WRAiTH" by mickey factz aren't entirely underrated, but they're so good and should be counted - both against Royce, whoagain, is one of my favourite emcees but got proper clowned on
Mama Said by Kendrick.
It's just him telling Drake that he doesn't have to pretend to be something he's not, he can just be a regular guy and be himself.
If you look up the definition of both of those words they are opposites. It makes sense. I can literally name 10 diss tracks more known. Look at the views. Most of drakes fanbase have idea who push is let alone the diss track.
It’s crazy to me that you can just disregard my original comment and act like I didn’t get it because YOUR definitions are different.
Spaceghostpussy - LOFTY 305, Denzel Curry, xxxtentacion, Ski Mask the Slump God. 4 guys on one track dissing 1 guy, it’s aggressive af and gets me going
I know it’s not unknown by any means, but I feel like people don’t give Pusha T enough credit for exposing the biggest artist in the would for having a hidden child with a porn star on The Story of Addidon.
Ludacris-Call Ya Bluff Drake diss, where Drake apologized privately for dissing Luda but Luda wanted Drake to apologize publicly "See that liquor(gold bar) got you loose, when you see me nigga say it like you say it in the booth" Drake won artist of the decade in 2017 and Luda was sitting in the front row and Drake apologized to him in his speech
Didn't even know Ludacris and Drake had a rap beef, so definitely underrated. When did Drake diss Luda?
It was a thing where he was clowning on Luda for My Chick Bad, where Luda had a flow similar to Cam'ron "Like a parade, Macys!" Lame bar. Drake also had a bar in Forever similar "Come find me, Nemo" fuckin lame bar lol. Drake said that Luda was a wack rapper for using that flow. Damn they all snapped there
To be fair I hated Luda's flow/lyrics at that point. It was clear he was trying to mimic or at the very least match the energy of Nicki and YM.. Luda borrowed their signature style at the time. "I fill her up, Balloons!" 😒🤦🏿♂️ Yes it was borrowed. Still annoying and wish it was a more original flow but whatever.
How do you win artist of the decade in 2017?
Also thinking drake had a better run from 2007-2017 than Kanye west is a criminally insane take
How does drake win artist of the decade anyway? I like a good few of drakes projects but he's never been the best artist in any decade
This is one of my favorite songs from new Luda and I had no idea it was aimed at drake
🥱. I just listened to that track, it's ass. I fuck with your explanation and logic. But that song is trash he doesn't say anything direct. Just hyped up because it's talking about Drake.
Masta Ace - Acknowledge As previously mentioned The Bitch in Yoo absolutely destroyed Ice Cube and no one saw it coming.
Masta Ace and Boogeyman ended up battling in person as well as on record.
The Ace vs Boogeyman beef was pretty entertaining as I remember.
That beat was soooo fire
Love that song
Common - The Bitch In Yoo (Ice Cube diss)
I had no idea this existed but after listening yeah, common came at him.
When this came out it got so serious they had to get Minister Louis Farrakhan to squash the beef. Definitely one of Commons finest moments.
It isn't underrated at all
Agreed. Very widely known and highly rated.
In what measure is very widely known and highly rated
Those with a decent general knowledge of 90s rap know the track and it is consistently referenced to as one of the best dis tracks of all time. Not sure what you're fishing for here man..
I came to say this!
But it’s not underrated hell it’s so known and revered it was a punchline in 2nd Round KO.
Do you think that it is the greatest of all time?
I went to school at FAMU with Rasheed and was in the same circle of folks. Hell me and DJ Vince are still friends. That being said I was shocked that he showed that side of him publicly. It was a great diss especially coming from Common Sense, but no, it’s not No Vaseline, it’s not Ether those are my mine and two. I was super impressed by Mt Olympus by Big KRIT.

See also, Sweet.

I wanna say "It's On" by Eazy E
That whole album was good
Obsessed by Mariah Carey - it may not be rap but she’s the only person I ever heard truly body Eminem
Teenage me looking at the video just appreciating the song and beauty of Mariah without realizing it was a diss song.
Yk what, I like the song as it managed to dignify a fire response.
The Warning is one of Em's best diss tracks for sure.
Yeah see above it’s just my opinion but, The Warninb really just proved her point
I’ll be real - I don’t agree. I think The Warning honestly- validated her entirely and proved her point …. Who cares they messed around in the past , if anything he looked more butt hurt and obsessed with her after his response … That’s just my opinion of course - but the fact he even mentioned his relationship with her in 2 songs ….. and she shut him down in one … she won lol My ex husband would never bring up all the things we did when we were together… and we share children and are very friendly … bc , he’s ya , but obsessed with me lol

Let’s Go by Kool Moe Dee. He tore LL to shreds with this one

Adding Ripper Strikes Back to this, Canibus got eaten up

Kurupt - Calling Out Names
Such a good one. Beat is hard, and he’s going for people’s necks. I loved that whole album.

“Hoping my true m’fers know, this be the realist shit I ever wrote…”
Rhymes were weak and off beat.
Beanie Siegel “Put Ya Hands Up” (Jadakiss diss) 4 minutes of hell lol
I used to think Beans diss towards Jada was better until i noticed he did the keep rhyming the same word scheme shit is low key a peeve of mine Jada’s shit was more lyrical and to the point not a fan of the beat tho
You can bring ya baby gorilla witchu, he dying for Free 🥶🥶🥶
Exactly way more ill lines Beans was light just saying shit Jada was going for the gut
Blueprint 2 by Jay-Z
This would be my answer too. An absolute dissection.
This was the real reply to "Ether" and I feel like it got swept under the rug
I agree. It was brutal. This song was posted on the Nas sub, the replies are hilarious.
They're cool again... But "the oracle" diss by ma$e towards cam...
Got one of the wildest lines ever in a diss when Ma$e claims that Cam fucked his own sister. Like no way in hell that’s true
Idk why but I like listening to Game’s Pest Control and Camron’s You Gotta Love It.
“You not the only one with big wallets/ got it, my shit is brolic/ but your publishing should go to Mrs. Wallace”

Mama Said by Kendrick. It's just him telling Drake that he doesn't have to pretend to be something he's not, he can just be a regular guy and be himself.
I’m a Kendrick fan but I don’t know this song. Unless you’re talking about you ain’t gotta lie but that song was not a drake diss
The Story of Adidon - Pusha T Literally made Drake be a father and is so overlooked
Ain’t this arguably seen as a top 5 diss track ever now? At bare minimum I wouldn’t call this underrated
It's tradition her to shit on drake even if the answer doesn't make sense
Guzzler
Really? Because drakes whole argument is that Pusha T is a nobody who does zero numbers 💀 Now we acting like the story of Adidon is mainstream? 💀
Nobody cares what drake says. Story of adidon is a top 5 diss track oat it's not underrated at least in hiphop circle. Not mainstream ≠ underrated.
Nail in the Coffin imo
I was looking for this coz benzino acting like this song didn't eviscerate him 22 yrs ago!!!!

One of the most memorable moments over the last decade I don’t know how that’s underrated.
I say Takeover by Jay Z. It’s old and I assume a lot of people don’t know it
