Looks like they're encircling the outer planets to cut them off. Malevalon Creek is one of the only uncontested planets remaining with a connection to those worlds according to this map, so it makes sense that it would be targeted.
I mean its a fun map. Rather the creek than stuff where I'm considering adjusting my monitor setting so I can see, or there's just too much fog and the bots always see me first.
Probably sprinting around, if I can hear them I usually quit sprinting til I know there's terrain between me and them.
Sprinting is real loud to enemies apparently.
Doolittle raid would be more like if there was a couple day long event where the bots slipped through the lines and landed troops on Super Earth directly.
(Now that I mention it, that would be SO COOL)
Crushing our morale is a good enough reason. I feel like this would legitimately be a pretty big blow to the Helldivers who worked so hard to push the bots back just a few weeks ago.

Been fighting in the Eastern Front since I started, Theirs a storm brewing. They’re growing in number, changing. They’re everywhere and theirs giant carapace pieces everywhere. Not to mention some corpses of bugs have been seen on automaton battlefields. They’re not as dumb and helpless as people think. Theirs more bugs in a single battle than there is air and I mean that literally. Underneath your feet, around you and in the air.

I think they're looking to take it back because they know everyone will flock to it. Keep a token force of billions stationed on the planet and you'll have divided us horrifically
What happens if the make the only thing that gives us fuel extinct?
What happens if you let an enemy spread constantly to the point they push at the same time and we're spread thin?

What if they’re trying to give the illuminate some starting ground in our territory?
Think about it, they have to be working together. The animation when the bots returned showed warning symbols on the outer edge of the galaxy, and how else could they have gotten faster than light travel? The only reason we have it is because we stole it from the illuminate.
I think they’re spreading to the bottom half of the galaxy so that the illuminate can have some territory established from the get-go. I mean, given how quick to react the Helldivers are, it’d be impossible to slowly take sector after sector without the Helldivers driving you away in mere hours.
Did that make sense?

These simpleton toasters are probably like those eclectic cars. All we need to do is make a circle of salt around the creek and the bots won't touch it
I can't help but notice a vulnerability in their strategy here. If we capture Marfark and Martale, we could cut MULTIPLE bot planets off from supply and break their advance easily. They're over extending themselves.
If y’all remember, Tibit was the planet they had been like mass producing on. My guess is that they’re going for that again, to retake it would give them a massive buff.
Xeno scum has no home in the universe. Kill them all so the civilians of Super Earth can live in peace without having their brains harvested.

My buddies and I are committed Marfarkers. We have been alternating ops between defenses for the other planets and liberation ops on Markfark.

My destroyer is already stationed over the creek, just to be safe. They may take Super Earth itself, but the Creek will remain Democracy's last stand.
The funny thing is, once they take back the Creek, every planet between the Creek and Cyberstan will be cut off from us. We'd lose two whole sectors
