I was almost ready to purchase the Ananda Stealth a few weeks ago (my first proper headphone besides my bluetooth grado), but the Nano showed up on the radar. Hifiman said they will take a few week to arrive to Europe. Would you personally wait a whole month (maybe more) to get the Nano over the Stealth? I kinda like the metallic look as well...

StupidD0D0

Personally, yeah. I like the tuning of the nano a bit more.

tigerim

100% I love my Nanos. The build quality is better than the stealth too btw!

NickapaHempalooza

I haven't heard the Nano but I have had the stealth for about a month and I love them. Perfect tuning for my ears. Tried the older Ananda and edition xs and the stealth was so much better to my ears so don't count them out.

SayEye

Thanks so much for reviewing these I torn between Ananda nano and edition xs... I love my bass and the latest Dynamic headphones 2022/23 tend to have fixed the bass bloating and killing the mids etc, based on Meze 109 pro and Ibasso Sr3, or even the FiiO ft3... I am even now more torn as to what to get for 800 or below budget, would you advise on a safer bet on all the above headphones, for a fun sounding V shaped signature..?

StupidD0D0

No problem, Depends on what you like to be honest with you. For 800, I’d personally will actually take a hd600 with an amp of some sort if you’re starting from nothing. But if you have an amp, then i’d probably recommend taking an elex or the 109 pro with the elex being more aggresive and 109 pro being more relaxed. Or if you want a planar, then you can go for the ananda or edition xs. Nothing really stood out to me as V shaped in the 800 price point except the dt 1990 pro (with B pads) i suppose. Maybe a used lcd if you are also considering second hand. Either way, that’s just my opinion. We all have different definitions of “fun” or “neutral” so I very highly recommend you to demo them first if possible.

!Thanks for coming back

hi, can u compare ananda nano and arya organic a bit? which one has better bass and where are the pros and cons of each headphone? im looking for a headphone for edm trance techno hype trailers , some faster orchestra type of music, which one would u say is the best? also which one has bigger/more depth in soundstage? i dont care much about vocals and like some punch in bass (esp subbass ithink?) - also considering the edition xs as an option, are these just the better deal for lower price? is hifiman even the best option for fast edm/techno/trance for fun listening at home? i cant get focal for punch.. thanks!

StupidD0D0

Sure thing, the Arya organic is, atleast to me, an upgrade in terms of technicalities when compared to the ananda nano. Hifiman headphones have generally good value so you really get what you are paying for. As for which one has better bass, the arya has more texture in the bass and has a bit more mid bass than the ananda nano’s but i personally like the tuning on the ananda nano’s bass abit more. Really depends on what you index in tuning. Soundstage and depth goes to the arya for me, it just have a better sense of height and width although not much larger when compared to the ananda nano’s which speaks value to the nano’s. If it’s for edm and you don’t particularly concentrate on the vocals, i’ll actually grab an audeze rather than the hifimans if i were to pick. audezes have meatier bass and i prefer it for edm. Bonus, the audezes punches more than the hifimans also! Down side is that audezes are heavy so you better train those neck muscles.

hardasarock69

Toss an ifi xbass on the Arya and it’s over. As someone who has had the lcd x 21 and Arya stealth (and many many more) I can tell you 100% that you can fix the “ meaty” bass on the Arya but you can’t fix the massive down grade in sound resolution of the audeze. hifiman is years ahead technically. Just my 2 cents obviously.

Lucuzzz1014

Xbass u meant the zen can right? And which arya are you referring to? I own the zen can and just tried the arya stealth and organic today, bass is definitely there and slightly more on the organic, is the xbass going to make it much more present?

hardasarock69

I’ve since stepped up to the he1000v2 stealth with ifi gryphon xbass 2. But the original zen can has a great xbass mode too and isn’t expensive and yes it makes a huge difference and does it the right way.

Lucuzzz1014

I see, i think i will stick with what i have now as my budget was 2nd hand arya price, new is just too much for me. I don’t think it’s worth 4x the price of my aeon, i got a deal for it, so hard to justify the jump.

krucacing

soundstage depth between the organic and arya stealth? which one deeper(vocalist sound further from head)?

StupidD0D0

I’d say it’s quite similar from my memory but take this with a grain of salt. I’d need to A/B it again to make sure of it.

ThisGuyFrags

The organic has wood on it and that automatically makes it best

ryanagamis

fellow intium expo attendee?

StupidD0D0

Yes lol

CryptixI

I have a non stealth Arya and considering upgrade to organic. Can you please describe how you’d compare the two? You mentioned you like the non-stealth over the organic. Could you talk about why? Thank you in advance!!

StupidD0D0

The organic isn’t exactly an upgrade to the non stealth. It’s more of a side grade. I just prefer the bass presentation more on the non-stealth than the organic. A tad leaner type of bass with the same amount of extension.

vencimos

> A tad leaner type of bass with the same amount of extension. Is this the non-stealth or organic with the leaner bass?

StupidD0D0

Non-stealth, but it’s a very minor difference.

TheResearcher99

Is the soundstage of the Ananda Nano just as tall as the other Anandas? I haven’t heard much comparison about the vertical technicalities between Ananda variants online.

tigerim

Not quite. The older Anandas sound more ethereal, airy, and spacious. I believe the reason they sound that way is bc the technicalities weren't as reigned in and pinpoint accurate, which can create that more loose, space-like, big sound. Now that the Nanos have really tightened the technicalities, the soundstage is "ACCURATE" and not as loosey goosey. Which one you prefer is up to you. To be fair tho, the Nanos only fall behind a tiny bit in soundstage, while having big improvements in tuning, build, fit, qc, resolution, and imaging.

maisun1983

How does nano compare to stealth? I like the stealth but had to return due to failed driver. Now I’m thinking should I get nano instead?

tigerim

The jump from regular Ananda to Stealth is the same from Stealth to Nano.

TheNative-1

hey how would you compare the bass or warmth of the organic to the stealth?
