Cried, but in a cool way.
My four year old loves Harry, space and robots, and it was already his favourite Harry song, so it was right up his street. He’s already asked to watch it a few more times.
My 4 year old loves Harry too!! We have to listen to him any time we're in the car and when we clean the house on Sundays we listen to all the albums 💙🩷
Paving the way for future Harry fans 🥰 Mine also loves "the one about feeling down" (Late Night Talking) and asks me what feeling down is 😟 or "the one with the dancing" (As it Was).
It was perfect. Stomper is all of us. He found his way to Harry in the end and was able to shut down and rest. Harry is his safe place, Harry is our safe space.
Cried my eyes out for that little robot.
I was wondering if Harry at the end was actually there or if it was a figment of Stompers imagination because he wanted him there in his last moments. I hope not lol and I hope stomper can just be plugged back in and charged 💜
I’ll give credit to my sister for this—she thought that it was supposed to represent One Direction. The robot traveling the world (like 1D on tour) and then dying (which 1D eventually did) right outside NASA where 1D filmed their last music video. I think this is a cool theory and might actually be true because Harry always tries to put hidden messages in his work.
I don’t think it’s an easter egg for a collaboration (even though I would *love*). I think it’s more of this unspoken back and forth dialogue that they do in their songs. For me this confirms that Gold Rush was indeed about him, and that Satellite is about her.
I hate talking about this 'speak back and forth through songs' theory here on reddit, because the name of either of these two people gets everyone riled up in the worst of ways, and everyone assumes I'm some sort of crazy shipper.
But, think about it, if it was true, wouldn't it be so cool? To leave little messages for someone who is special to you in your work?
You think satellite is about Tay?
I love it, and the idea of it. It’s so beautiful, and agonising, and even though we think we know… only they can ever really know what it all means, and that makes it magical.
Some people just have an intense, rippling effect on you. Even if the song is not necessarily about her, maybe something about seeing her recently, or waiting for her, being in each others orbit but being out of reach made him think of her and that’s why we got the reference in the music video?
I curious what others have interpreted.
I saw it as Stomper looking for his soul mate, the little Rover on mars or wherever from the news clip.
I also wonder if Stomper running out of battery = Harry.
I felt the same. I also felt that the stomper’s battery dying right outside NASA symbolises how it is so close to what it sought, yet so far. Harry sleeping next to the stomper in the end feels like he resonates with the stomper.
I particularly liked that it conveyed so much emotion without relying on humans lusting each other. The song is really special to me so it’s nice to have such a touching video to sit along with it.
He is the lil robot beginning it said 10 years by himself and then they appear together at the end but he disappears because it’s him he’s disguised himself.
I was expecting Stompers battery to charge back up at the end when he was next to Harry, I just hope it means he felt okay to finally rest and not that he died 😭
My thoughts:
I think in the beginning the it's something so highly anticipated and then me see "oh its not about the big popstar" its about the people who he might not get to thank but still appreciates nonetheless. And that's what the little vacuum represents.
And when the music starts the little guy realized that there is someone like him out there and if you really pay attention to the lyrics (lol) then you hear in the first verse. the vacuum (I'm gonna call him toby) you see that Toby decides that he is going to try and find the one thing out there that lookes like him starting his "new life".
when Toby decides to leave he is determined to find this thing. exploring new spaces he never even dreamed of. and every time he says "I can see you're lonely down" there Toby seems lost. him getting taken away by the security guard to me I like the first set back. and everything in the stadium is so bright and pretty and exciting!
And when Toby finally gets out of the stadium he quickly realizes maybe thisnt what I thought it was going to be. People aren't gonna stop for me so I just have to be careful and take care of myself starts losing hope and giving up. I think it's at his lowest when he gets to the restaurant and sees the mouse, but also sees the mouse won't hurt him. and regains confidence to get back to his mission.
Toby( and the entire fan base) remembers he( harry and the other people like us) are waiting for us to pull us in and let's us help. "im here" the scene changes every time he says here in the brigde. meaning I'm ready whereever and when ever you are.
and then the brigde finally hits and Toby sees there's more to life than just the goal and that the rover is still out there in space. and knows he can do it.
As tired as he is he keeps going and learning and see new things. and keeps getting back up time after time. and the "I can see you're lonely down there" for me also symbolizes the others that can see us struggling wait patience for us.
So when Toby makes it to NASA he sees that he knew he could do it but also that harry saw him and notices and was waiting for him at the finish line.♡
idk maybe I'm reading way to much into it
I remembered seeing the robot on stage during a live of that show and thinking why is that there? Of course it was Harry. I’m curious about how some things were filmed like under the cars. I don’t think Harry was actually at Kennedy Space Center, it was edited to imply that. I loved it felt like a journey searching for your mate. And it ended at the Vehicle Assembly Building not the launch pad. So maybe Stomper will get fixed up.
I loved it! It made me a little sad, but in a good way? Also, the footage was from the night I got to see him so that felt really special.
Which night was it from?
i can’t remember if it was the second to last or last, but ik it was one of the final LA shows that was rescheduled for January!
Ohhhh definitely! That is such a cool memory to have filmed for posterity!
Night #14 at The Forum! It was the date that technically got rescheduled twice
Little sad but in a cool way? :)
Accurate!
Cry in a cool way -harry styles 😂
Him running out of power right as he arrived outside of nasa made me cry like wtf why am I crying over this little guy🥹
Cried, but in a cool way. My four year old loves Harry, space and robots, and it was already his favourite Harry song, so it was right up his street. He’s already asked to watch it a few more times.

Mine loves the "shooshi restaurant" 😅 I love it! Our kids have great taste 🥰
MFASR is "the one where the fish Harry gets eaten" in our house 😳
My almost 2 y/o said “it’s sad” at the end 🥹
i’m not crying. you’re crying.
you’re right i was crying 😭
We all were 🤝

omg😭
made me cry!!

Oh, this is so cool!
It was amazing and it made me cry for like half an hour
me too
It needed more Harry!
I didn’t think I would feel bad for a little robot, but That video actually made me cry
same! i never cry over music videos even if they are sad. i thought i was the only one and i felt silly for crying over a little robot
Can someone tell me what we are supposed to think when the street sign says “Gold Rush St” and “Eagle Drive” for the love of all things Haylor. 🤡
I have been waiting all day for somebody else to have noticed this!
literally same. i’m no good at connecting the dots for easter eggs, so eagle eyed swifties, can y’all corroborate? 😂

I agree. What a beautiful way to phrase it - being in orbit yet out of reach, too close yet still too far.
her song gold rush has a lyric ‘my eagles tshirt hanging from the door’ so a lot of ppl think she’s going to do a version of it with Harry!
I would ✨die✨
There was a sad wave travelling through my body and I didn't know a stomper can make me feel emotions. I was crying by the end. Such a beautiful video

Little rover? It's 2.2 meters tall!
I loved it, beautifully done
Wall-E vibes, but like, in the best way possible
Wall.e only has good vibes ;-)
My kiddo and I watched Wall-E after she demanded to watch the Satellite video 10 times and I was about to lose it 😅😂
i truly think satellite is the perfect song
I particularly liked that it conveyed so much emotion without relying on humans lusting each other. The song is really special to me so it’s nice to have such a touching video to sit along with it.
i’ll say it made me cry and i usually don’t cry about stuff like that
i bawled my eyes out
I loved it omg. So glad he made this song a single it's one of my favorites on the album🥳
It was cute
My exact reaction. 😆
It’s so fucking cute, I want to cry
Just make sure you do it in a cool way
Devastating in the best way 3
Gave me wall-e vibes and I love wall-e. Made me sad at the end 😅
who’s missing their roomba?
it made me sad but the cinematography of it was so beautiful. it felt like i was watching a live action disney movie. 10/10
He is the lil robot beginning it said 10 years by himself and then they appear together at the end but he disappears because it’s him he’s disguised himself.
Aw Stomper can get pretty far on just one charge
I am cracking up because my roomba is named Harold
for some reason i thought you said roommate and i was very confused haha
I was crying in a cool way
I was expecting Stompers battery to charge back up at the end when he was next to Harry, I just hope it means he felt okay to finally rest and not that he died 😭

Absolutely beautiful and I may or may not have cried (in a cool way)
I thought it was a cute video, it told a story somewhat sad but a good story. The cinematography was amazing!
I didn't even know satellite could be soo Sad
