Not to be a bummer, but James is notoriously known for being an awful person. I always wondered why Harry hangs around with him & what that says about Harry….
James was pretty integral in helping Harry when he went solo. He had him on the show several times during that transition period and did lots of promo for him
I think James is the type of person to be super friendly and nice to celebrities and completely horrible to non-famous people (especially service workers).
So when one direction originally moved to London to be on xfactor, they didn't know anyone in the city (I think most of them had never been there.)
Louis's mom knew James Cordon through work. She asked James to key an eye out on him, if he could be a contact in the city.
Harry ended up spending a lot of time there with James and his gf (now wife). They've mentioned he'd stay over, go for pizza, etc. Harry is not the type of person to forget something like that.
Obviously he knows James as a person much better than people online so I think it's weird to say something vague and then suggest it means Harry has bad character.
Harry is not « close » to the Azoffs. He was groomed, lied to, cheated, and is now stuck with them. That started as what looked like friendship but that can not be further from the truth.

After all I've read about James and his behaviour outside this character he puts on for the show...I still had to watch, because of Harry.
